ATHEISTS DISPLAYING THIER HATE

The Freedom From Religion Foundation posted a bitter hate-filled placard in the state of Washington's capitol  hallways alongside normal traditional Christmas decorations including the Nativity and a Christmas tree that was given the PC treatment and is called a "Holiday tree". On the placard it reads ""There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds." This is a sick message from dour, sour, bitter minds. The Nativity and the Christmas tree are harmless peaceful symbols that do not denegrate those who don't believe.  But the nasty message on the Atheists "holiday" placard is plainly hateful and derogatory. It certainly does not inspire anyone to want to listen to what they have to say about anything, and lends a dim view to the already dubious title of those who call themselves Atheists.  A better message, a more reasonable message, might have been something like "For those who do not have a religious faith we would like to remind you that you need no holiday to offer goodwill, kindness and charity to your fellow man". And leave it at that. But no, they had to get in thier foul little digs and slaps at religion and thus at those who hold faith.  Anyway, I would like to close this post with a poetic tribute to a special lady, Patricia ( Trish) ,  who lives in a distant place, far from my embrace, but who is always on my mind;

Twilight glows,
It comes and goes,
With shifting winds
That bend the rose,
But the chaos
Driving days apart
Can't cool the chaos in my heart.
Through my body
Thunder rips
At the softest whisper
Of your lips,
My fingers tremble,
They starve obsessed
To enclose you tight
To my pounding chest,
Wind can scream
Like a child's birth
And bend the trees
Till they touch the earth
But it can not see
Within its cries
The heaven-born beauty
Of your eyes
That glow with a thousand
sunstruck skies,
And all that is bright
can fade away
Till the world is dead
And the stars are gray
And while others mourn
The loss of day
I would warm my heart
In the soul stirring
Light of your eyes.
