THE REPUBLICAN JIMMY CARTER

Poor old former Republican Senator Dole, a great man, a war hero, who nowadays is being played like a useful idiot that the Democrats srcaped up from retirement and suckered with a chance to feel important again in the context of current events. I hate to say it but he's become the Jimmy Carter of the Republican Party. He, and former Senator Daschle ( of all people...), have been working together to promote acceptance of the healthcare reform bill by the Republican party, with "bi-partisan" reforms... ( ha ha).  And , the media, so very very predictable..., love it when a Republican "finds his soul" ( as the liberals might see it...) and seeks "redemption" in the form of submission to the liberal Democrat agenda.  Republicans should keep away from any Democrat healthcare bill as if it were poison. The Democrats want to mix a poison potion of government run healthcare for the nation..., so why should Republicans drink ANY of that poison? Why should they dilute it a little and then take a swallow of the poison? The right and principled thing to do is slam any and all healthcare bills that attempt in any way to increase regulation and extend the reach of the government into our private lives and choices. If Republicans want to do something to increase medical insurance competition and promote tort reform, that's fine, they should introduce a separate bill to do that, and ONLY that..., but should keep away from the boondoggle that Obama wants to inflict on the country. Democrats don't want to bear the repercussions from this mess that Obama wants for healthcare.... alone. They want the Republicans to siphon off some of the poison into themselves, like sucking the venom from a rattlesnake bite, in order to soften the grim impact of the Democrat party's re-election prospects. You see, the strategy is not hard to figure out. IF , the Democrats can sucker Republicans into sucking on this venom sack called government Healthcare, then that leaves the angry public hating both parties equally. And thus does not give the public confidence that Republicans would do things differently. Thus, it evens the odds that repercussions from voting up a healthcare bill will effect negative returns on election results. Now, Republicans know this is the political tactic the Democrats are trying to employ when they accuse the Republicans of partisan politics and call them the party of NO. This is something we want partisanship on, because we should all WANT to have sensible politicians taking a principled stand against this boondoggle bill. Republican partisanship against this bill is a good thing.

TOILET PAPER TYRANNY

I've never heard Obama sound so negative on the future and economy and then spin his own agenda as being so positive, such a dichotomy of contradictive statements, as he did in his most recent speech.  Is this the hope and change he campaigned on?
 
Regarding the real effect of government intervention, this is why we are seeing grass roots tea parties all around the country today.  I'm heartened by the idea of these rallies, but at the same time I'm concerned that they may not get the attention they deserve. The only real effect these tea parties will have is if they can inspire and rally more and more citizens to the cause of pushing back the grip that the Obama administration has put on our private enterprise and economic freedom.  In no way will these wonderful , inspired rallies turn Obama, Frank, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd et-al into a fiscally conservative bunch. The exercise of freedom of the press and to demonstrate and protest and to exercise freedom of association and also to celebrate the real meaning of freedom are meant to give those who feel helpless against what's happening in our federal government a voice with which to be heard, and a call to arms of a sort. The liberal press will not stop being liberal, and the spinning at CNN , NBC, and all the left lurching media will be in full bloom in the face of these gatherings, but this is a foundational war. It's a war to save our way of life from being destroyed by a terrible mistake made by..., us...., by our nation... in electing a terrible representative of the people. President Obama does not reflect our country's ideals, foundational principles or love of freedom. With his fascist agenda of government intervention in every aspect of our lives, and his hatered of free enterprise and his loathing of those who have succeeded and reaped the rewards of wealth that freedom can bring, and his congress of yes-men who genuflect to his altar of tyranny, he is bent on using the Constitution of our country as his personal roll of toilet paper while wagging his finger in disgust at those of us who he thinks are too ignorant to understand his great schemes of reshaping the country in his image. Our founding documents are not waste material to be thrown into a recycling bin and remade into something else. If the President does not respect every page and word of the Constitution he has sworn to defend, then his word and his promise means nothing at all.

HANGING THOMAS JEFFERSON...,

The crux of the debate regarding GM and Chrysler and AIG and all the others is not the minutia of should the CEO be fired or not, the debate is on the principles of government's role versus the role of private business.  If we don't look at that, then we lose to the central planners, to the big government socialists who want our attention diverted precisely to the smaller argument of who should be running GM at the top, and the bonuses at AIG, and not the debacle of government taking over operations of privately owned business. I know it's difficult , with all the excitement and controversy, to step back and keep the big picture in focus, but if we lose that big picture we lose everything. This not a random romp by government egos who are trying to help one or two businesses stay afloat, this is nothing short of a complete flip of the government's role in limited interference. You have to understand that our freedom as citizens depends entirely on a very limited role of a central government. Up until the Obama Presidency, we have had some measure of restraint on this front. There has been a weak, but maintained modicum , a spark of respect for the principles of self determination and freedom to succeed or fail, allowing capitalism to absorb the failures and make successes from them.   But mass ignorance, driven by populist emotions have carried a radical socialist to the highest chair in government, and given him a fully functional right and left arm in the Senate and the House or Representatives that are working in conjunction with him put a hangman's noose around the necks of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Ben Franklin and all the founders of our nation whose brilliance long ago gave us a foundation of freedom to grow a nation upon. We are fast forgetting what freedom is and what it means to lose it.   It was those great figures from our past who declared their freedom from a self ordained Monarch, a singular power-grabbing authority who in some ways is very like Barack Obama today. The founders of our nation were willing to fight to have their freedom from an oppressive King and to be able to choose their own destinies, to rise or fall by the merit of their individual efforts rather than to have their futures and lives determined by an overlord. The fight is not about whether AIG should give out bonuses, or GM should lose it's CEO, it's about whether we rule ourselves, or the government rules us.  It's about whether we declare for freedom, or lay down and let the central government crush us under it's boot heel. We need to remember how to be free, and not willingly tie puppet strings to our own arms and legs and let our government play us like fools in a side show in the name of saving us from ourselves.

RE-DECLARING OUR INDEPENDENCE

 
The Declaration of Independence: ( WITH NOTES ADDED BY ME... in parenthesis)

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal... ( this includes the executives at AIG, the management and employees of Wal Mart, speculators in the stock market, and people at all income levels from the wealthiest to those with no income)...that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life ( abortion is not a "right") , Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness ( the amount of money at your disposal increases the ease at which you can pursue liberty and happiness, thus the more you are taxed the more the government chokes your options for such pursuits) .--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed ...( our government is not there to rule us, we own it, it functions at our discretion and we will reign it in when it goes too far)..., --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends,...( ...when our government tries to determine the fate, future and obligations of the people and forgets that it's role is to serve rather than to limit freedom...) it is the Right of the People to alter ...( elect new leaders)... or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes ( .. the Constitution must not be ignored as a matter of convenience )...; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government( ... or perhaps restore to primary importance the founding principles and guiding documents of a great Republic to govern as was the original intent by replacing corrupt leaders with those who respect the Constitution)... The history of the present King of Great Britain ...( or perhaps... the present political leaders in DC )..is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.

 This first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence lays out the basic reasons for pursuing redress of grievances against a government that has gone out of control.  My notes inserted into it were meant simply to point out the modern equivalence of some of those grievances. It seems that  far too many of our elected leaders have forgotten or forsaken the principles and ideas of our nation's founding. We have a governing body now that seems to have lost its way from the principles primarily embodied in the right to liberty. Freedom. From freedom all the rest of it becomes possible.

OBAMA BECOMES DON CORLEONE

The reason some corporate executives are playing both sides of the coin, standing up for Conservative fiscal policy and then bizzarely praising Obama is not hard to figure out. Obama has become a thug. Every bailout has been used by Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Obama, etc..., as extortion for taking control of those businesses. This is almost like loan sharking. It's insidious. It's like some shady guy in a trenchcoat stepping out of a dark alley and whispering in your ear, "hey, buddy, I hear you're having money problems... well... I can help". And you basically sign your life away to him in exchange for financial help. Is this what Obama voters wanted? Is this Hope and Change? Is it the business of our government to be a thug to private businesses and to people who make over 250K? Think about the role reversal that is going on here. The US federal government descends from the people, it is owned and operated by you and me. But, with the current trend, with the outrageous spending and taxing, the elected representatives of the people have taken on a new vision for our government, a vision whereby the body of our government represents our parents, and we are mere children being given an allowance, and being spanked and sent to the stand in corner for daring to question it's authority. You know, everyone saw what happened to "Joe the plumber" when he said he didn't like Obama's plans. No one wants to be attacked by the highest sitting political leader in the world with the resources at his fingertips to litterally destroy a person's life, and Obama and his team has proven they will do so if it means shutting down voices of opposition that might be taken seriously.
 
I've been trying to put this administration and congress into a perspective that boils it down to it's goals and ideology overall. What I observe, is that the leaders in power in our federal government right now have become an adversary of the people, of the foundational documents of our nation, and of the greater vision of our founding fathers. Our government is fighting us. Obama et-al are throwing punches at our way of life, while trying to convince us that every punch we take is good for us, and strengthens us, while the real goal of our adversary is to weaken us , the masses, until we give up and admit we are a defeated bunch of misanthropes. Never, I don't think in all of our history, has such a fluid abomination as the wilful destruction of capitalism and self determination been put forward as it is now. Obama once said "we are the ones we've been waiting for", well, let's modify that to realistically fit his administration. "We have met the enemy, and he is us". That should be the Obama slogan for his administration. He is an enemy of the American way of life. But elections have consequences.  And we now face what the majority elected.
 
We could say that Reagan was an actor who made you believe he was sincere about his view of the country whenever he spoke, and he was... he was always genuine. Obama is not an actor but he puts on an act whenever he speaks, complete with a script and cue cards. He is such a poser as President, he is running the exeuctive branch as if it were a branch of ACORN. I think obama voters are beginning to peer into his mask and see something they don't like. It's stunning how much socialism has been rammed into legislation since he took office. It is overwhelming and it is so destructive that even Obama voters can not help but notice.
 
Just one more thing, I'm all for our political leaders promoting a positive view and inspiring people toward consumption, BUT as I recall McCain was lambasted, broiled, fried, and served up like sushi by Obama, his cronies, and everyone in the media for daring to say that the fundamentals of our economy are sound. Obama recently saying ( paraphrasing...) that we should trust in most our financial institutions and that most have conducted sound fiscal policies and that in some basic ways our economy is okay, sounds STRIKINGLY similar. But he will , of course, get a pass on it that McCain did not. I beleive McCain was actually forced to apologize for his "insensitivity" for remarking on the same thing that Obama basically just said. The difference is, I think McCain really did and does have faith in the strength of the American work ethic, and Obama is just talking to hear himself sound Presidential because many pundits were asking why he doesn't present a more positive and inspirational view for our economy, and he doesn't actually mean a single word of it.
 
Every day I check real estate listings on my local areas to track prices and trends, looking at investment properties. About twice a month for the past 6 months, almost without fail, home owners have been kocking 5 to 10 percent off the price of thier homes in a desperate attempt to sell. A beautiful townhouse across the street from me started off at 289K about 6 months ago, it just sold at 244K. Now here's the thing. There are plenty of people who would have loved to have that house. And it would have sold much sooner and for much closer to the original asking price, if disposable income was in greater command for the consumer. This is not rocket science, really. It's not hard. If .... I know this is a radical thought... but if , instead of baling out banks, all tax paying consumers were given a 20% cut in federal income tax, and capital gains was cut by just 20%, if more disposable assests , more liquid assets were left in the hands of the consumer... buying and selling would skyrocket. There would be a swift correction and markets would rise to new heights. It's so simple. More money in your pocket, more opportunity to buy the things you want and/or need. But we now face massive spending that too many people are just rolling over for. What happened to government taking the burden OFF of people? Cutting the tax burden is such a simple idea, there should be no cloudiness in the minds of the masses, but Obama's administration works to put those clouds up there

KEEPING THE BIG AMERICAN IMAGE ALIVE?

I find it very disturbing that the self-annointed Conservative illuminati bloggers and media pundits in the DC beltway still find themselves reluctant to proclaim the prinicples of the ideology.  This highlights why the Republicans are crumbling as an institution.  The tremendous opportunity being wasted by those on our side who seek to criticize Conservatism as out-of-touch or a values system that doesn't belong in this day and age is heartbreaking. This is a moment in history that is crying out for unity all the way back to our founding fathers. It is important that we all stand on solid ground with an approach to reaching out by defining the prinicples of Conservatism, and bringing home the foundational values of Conservatism as a rising tide lifting all boats, wanting everyone big or small to succeed, sweeping away the debris of red tape and government tax burdens to open opportunites as wide as they can be. A leader motivates people with grand vision, not policy wonking. Look at Obama, he sold a fantasy to a public that was ready to buy into anything that would change What they felt was wrong with the Bush administration. It was a phony pledge of cutting waste and restoring consumer confidence, ending war and making peace with world leaders who want to destroy us. It was all a ruse, just like his phony economic summit and phony healthcare summit where he asks people to form groups and come up with answers to all of our problems in a few hours. Absolute garbage and nonsense, a sideshow designed to make it seem like he's being bi-partisan or non-partisan. Conservatism is a real philosphy with principles that work. Conservatism is not a complicated philosophy, it's a common sense approach to life that people more often than not follow without even realizing it. There's a golden moment here, when the heralds of Conservative values should all be standing up to enjoin a common cause, to restore the real vision of this country, the freedom from which everything great that we have attained as a nation has arisen. To restore the reverence the Constitution deserves as the document that has so far kept us from falling into the tar pits of socialism and communism. To put the real history of our country back into its proper perspective. At this pivotal moment we can't afford to have petty bruised egos in the punditry of elitist Conservative circles trying to undercut the push to salvage the American way of life.
 
 I think what the liberals fear most about talking about thier goals of a socialized American society, is that they KNOW liberal ideas can not withstand being debated. Liberalism falls flat on its face when it has to be defended in logical rational context. When exposed, liberalism makes no sense at all, and in fact is clearly antithetical to freedom. The liberals know that Obama's agenda is pure socialism and can only succeed without debate. I work in customer service at a major international company that is currently in the process of laying off about 2400 people worldwide. People who I know and have worked with have been cut, fortunately no one in my immediate group, but it certainly puts focus on the fact that a slowdown in the economy effects everyone, even big coporations that are in the black financially such as the one I work for have had to make some cutbacks due to a depressed market, cutbacks that effect people's livelihood. All the spending bills being crafted and passed in DC are not going to drive people to increase personal consumption. Most people know this about thier own situations. And that's why there's is palpable disgust with the exorbitant spending coming out of DC. It not only will do nothing to restore the consumer base of the country's business, but it also drives down the markets that invest in  businesses because of the uncertainty that comes from the government artifically propping up failing consumer industries. Putting pressure on big companies by raising taxes on them is putting people OUT OF WORK. The evidence is everywhere.    Everything that is great about our culture and society arises from one single overarching ideal, freedom.  Socialism and facism, both of which are in the process of happening, is pure poison to freedom. Our founders gave us an incredible document for structuring our government so that it does not become a debacle like the socialized European nations who are collapsing under thier own failing systems. We need to turn the country's vision, heart, and soul back to understanding why we have progressed as far as we have. And why this agenda of destructive government intrusion is exactly the opposite vision that our founders had for this country.

OBAMA - ECONOMIC TERRORIST

People can, and often do, try to perpare themselves for potential disaster. When you're sitting in an airplane and the captain tells you to brace for impact, you do what you can.  You make sure you know where that flotation device is, you grip the arms of the seat, you pray... but the ground is coming up fast and you know there's nothing at all you can do to stop it. You just hold on tight and pray you survive. When Obama won the election, I knew what was coming.  You knew what was coming..., most of us who are Conservatives and politically aware , knew what was coming.  But to actually SEE it, to see the speed of that impact racing up to hit us in the face as it's doing right now... is just stunning.  It's devastating and heartbreaking. Obama is the plane crash we knew was coming, but the impact is no less powerful or disheartening because of that fore-knowledge. The Stimulus bill passing into law was like getting that announcement from the captain to brace for impact.  The 4 trillion dollar budget is like the point of impact, when the nose of the plane plunges into the tarmack, and the screams of the passengers are hard to hear over the sound of twisting metal and exploding fuel tanks. And it's only been a few months. To actually see the nightmare scenario of the stinking carcass of socialism and central planning rise up like a great tsunami with its shadow falling across the country, flush with life from an infusion of our taxes, is like somthing from a steven king horror movie.   We have to make progress in turning this beast around at the next mid-term election cycle, or it will bury us for generations. Obama is the only plane crash that has a cheering section. The liberals are toasting this plane crash and it just makes me sick to see it happening. Because he has a rubber-stamp Democrat majority, Obama basically has a free hand to destroy our way of life in a way that the terrorist enemies of our country can only dream of. And we can't stop him, except by voting him out when the time comes, or maybe weakening the numbers of congressional democrats at the next mid-term. Obama has proven..., that he will destroy our economy in the name of maintaining Democrat power, and his own power, if that's what it takes.
 
I heard Bob Shrum ( Democrat political consultant) today on the fox show Brian And The Judge say "the people don't care about the pork ( in the upcoming ominbus spending bill). It's trivial.". I was of course outraged that he would dare to say that. But this is the genuine attitude of these socialists. That in itself was a teachable moment to anyone who heard it. There are radical liberals who think that the masses want all this insane spending and don't care what it's being spent on. Shrum actually was trying to defend money for earmarks such as tattoo removal, and swine odor management. His argument..."hey, these things need funding , and they're important to someone...", and again he said "the people don't care about this.". Amazing. And I'm sure you heard Obama putting the screws to Bush as the goat for his liberal agenda. Obama and all his cohorts are going to blame Bush throughout this Presdiency as the scapegoat for anything they want to do. Obama is a coward, he doesn't have the testicular fortitude to stand up and admit this has always been what he wanted to do and that he would have done it regardless of Bush. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Conservative president articulating Conservatism..., rather than a phoney baloney radcial socialist hiding behind a thin veneer of Conservative language as he sells his goals of central planning? It just continues to emphasize the dysfunctional nature of liberalism, that it has to hide behind a Conservative couch for fear of being exposed. It is cowardly, menacing, decietful, you name it. It's disgusting.

OBAMA WON

Obama won. He likes to remind us of that when Conservatives criticize his stimulus package. But, just because he won., doesn't mean we need to stand by and allow him to drive down the economy even further with huge frivilous spending. Ostensibly, loans for purchasing homes were given to many people who could not afford them, in order to help them obtain the "American dream". At least that was the cloak in which these bad loans were made and were encouraged to be made by the Federal government telling private banks they "had" to allow this or face penalties. But, in light of this boondoggle of a stimulus that is "allegedly" somehow supposed work to undo the damage done by this policy, we all need to ask ourselves, what is that "American dream"? Is it simply owning your own home...? Or is it achieving a financial level of indpendence... that then permits you to afford owning your own home? The American dream since the country was founded has been individual freedom. Without that , we have nothing. Zip, zero, nada, nothing.The freedom to work and save for the things you want in life is inherent in the greatness of our country. People should not be thought of as "deprived" simply because they can't afford to buy and maintain a house. But.., we have a country and a population that has turned freedom on its head. Instead of being free to work hard and save and earn the things you want to have in life, many people now feel entitled to anything they want simply because they are United States citizens. It's no longer about working to achieve, but feeling entitled , demanding entitlements, and then figuring out later how to handle paying for it or be given an out with some tax funded program. As a population we seem to feel entitled to a house, entitled to a lifetime of medical care, entitled to well paying jobs, entitled to attend college, and entitled to an endless line of credit to get whatever we want regardless of the means to pay for it. This is a huge challenge to overcome. The government does not owe individuals a particular standard of living, and our earnings should not be taxed for the purpose of granting such percieved entitlements as owning a home. Now, Obama's boondoggle of a stimulus law is pure socialist manure and we should be worried that he was so easily able to get this passed through congress. The radicals like Obama have it backwards. We do not work for him, he works for us. Our job as citizens is not to provide him with an endless river of taxes to build his socialist playground with while he and his cronies decide how much of our earned money we are entitled to keep for ourselves. Cutting income taxes and captial gains taxes would be a huge boost to helping people be able to "AFFORD" owning thier own home.
 
If we have to have a mortgage bailout... ( and I don't think that we have to...) then here's my plan to help people who can no longer afford to pay thier mortgage.  It's much better than Obama's plan... and it's astoundingly simple, and it does not penalize anyone, and it helps every home owner who has a mortgage.  Tax forgiveness. Instead of taking tax money from paul to pay peter so that peter can meet his mortgage obligations, reduce all person's federal income tax by a level equivalent to their mortgage payment, to allow every person to meet thier mortgage... for the remaining term of the mortgage. After which time these people's income tax is restored to the standard level for thier income. Selling the house would require to pay back federal income tax equal to the amount that was forgiven. Make this plan optional , so that people who are paying mortgages can opt-in or opt-out at any time ( and as many times as they feel is needed) during the length of thier mortgage. This way the amount that they would have to pay back in tax upon selling the house is up to the individual who can choose at periods of time to take on the full mortgage burden himself at his normal income tax rate, thereby elminiating the tax payback for that period of time, and/or switch to the tax forgiveness option to reduce full burden of the mortgage. This also helps those who have already been foreclosed by helping them through reduced taxes to obtain a new mortgage.

OBAMA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

Obama Claus is coming to town..., have you been good little boys and girls?  Well then, step right up and sit in his lap and ask Obama Claus for whatever your heart desires.  After all, that's what the President of the United States has transformed into behind the mask of Barack Obama, a gift giving entity who pulls money out of seemingly thin air. Except that this version of Saint Nicholas has far worse in store for you than a lump of coal in your stocking if you're not a good little brainless liberal and don't follow his plan for world peace and economic happiness. Obama Claus has been circling above the country in his magic tax-powered sleigh pulled by bloated egomaniacs .. "on Nancy ,on Barney, on Barbara and Harry...., "... and has been declaring from the top of his lungs... “A failure to act, and act now ( meaning a failure to pass his grease pit of a plan to socialize the country with massive liberal welfare and confiscation of private industry), will turn crisis into a catastrophe and guarantee a longer recession, a less robust recovery, and a more uncertain future.". He goes on to say "... I can tell you with complete confidence that a failure to act will only deepen this crisis as well as the pain felt by millions of Americans. the U.S. faces a profound economic emergency".  Gosh, is this how Obama spreads a message of  Hope and Change to the country?  Obama Claus managed to get the cooperation of three liberal ( RINO ) Republicans in the senate to close off debate on the Senate version of the grease pit bill.  Senators Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins got into thier pajamas and slid under the soiled bedsheets with all 58 Democrats on the procedural motion cheering on socialism for the country with a vote of 61 - 38 to smack down any delaying tactics by the Republican conservatives. Obama Claus is determined to give us gifts from his magic sack of tax gold whether we want them or not, all with the end result of making our "economy" ( does he even know what that is..? ) better.  Here's some of the ways Obama Claus is going to use this grease pit bill to ease the suffering of those who are being laid off... with a 50 million dollar injection to the Endowment For the Arts..., 650 million dollars for digital TV coupons, 150 million dollars for the Smithsonian Institution..., 1 billion dollars for the Census bureau ....4.2 billion for "community organizers" such as ACORN... , 400 million for global-warming research...yes... if you are now scratching your heads as to what this does to put Joe The Plumber back in his job, you're not alone. Obama Claus calls it a stimulus package, but what it is in reality is... well... it's in part a tax funded payoff to all of the liberal thugs and kneecappers who pumped up Obama during his campaign and in part an attempt to hide tax funding for government programs that might have otherwise had to face debate on thier own. Sadly for Obama Claus, people are beginning to catch on, and a rising wave of anger over the stinking pile of gut wrenching grease filling this bill is taking hold in the offices of elected officials. Hey... Obama Claus...YOU CAN'T PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG. Remember that one? This stimulus bill is the biggest pig ever to roll out of DC.  Obama is not only putting lipstick on this stimulus package, he's also putting a ballroom gown, glass slippers and a wig on it and is taking it out to dinner. Any Republican who supports this package should be ashamed. The House Republicans did the right thing by unifying against it. They need to stay strong. While there's no doubt that we are in the midst of a cultural/political war for the salvation of our free market economy, I still find myself immensely amused at the precariously balanced agenda of the Obama administration. Everything that he has instigated since taking office is leading to a showdown. He's building up a tower of socialism on styrofoam pillars and simply has no ability to hide what he's doing except by distracting people with populist class warfare. I sincerely believe he will turn out to be one of the worst Presidents our country has ever had to endure.

A NATION OF BEGGARS

Henry Ford, inventor of the automobile assembly line, founder of what is today the Ford Motor Company, said the following; "You can't build a reputation on what you are going to do.". In other words, results are what makes or breaks success. Henry ford is no longer with us, and it seems today that the ideals he brought to the manufacture and sales of cars has been lost with him. You can't succeed on a notion or an idea. You can't succeed by saying you will build hybrids and green cars, you have to have to build them and then be able to sell them. And if there's one thing manufacturers learn very quickly, it's that you can't sell what people don't want, no matter how you market it. People like lots of room in thier cars, they like to be able to carry more than three people comfortably in a big strong car that will survive a crash and can handle lots of luggage or groceries or camping equipment. They want big, powerful cars and trucks for thier businesses. And they like to get them at a reasonable price. For a brief time, when gas was over four dollars a gallon, sales of hybrid vehicles were on the rise and orders for them were big. But now sales of cars such as the Toyota Prius are way down from what they were six months ago. So, what has replaced those sales of the hybrid? Big flashy gas guzzling cars. It's what a lot of people want. There's still a niche market for the more expensive Hybrids but sales show they simply are not popular and not desirable unless gas prices force people to make that decision. With gas prices dropping every day, the market forces have returned to pre gasoline price shock consumption. If the federal government forces GM, Ford and Chrysler to change thier focus to the diminutive hybrids and green cars, sales will hit the bottom of the barrel for these companies faster than Barak Obama can say "change you can count on". If you worked in a private business ( and of course a lot of people do..), would you be embarrassed to take a gift of tax money to support your paycheck? I would. I would be embarrassed and ashamed and would never get up and demand that my neighbors pay my salary because I'm suffering, or because they "need" my services. When I hear the GM executives begging, it's embarrassing.  It's an embarrassment on a national scale that we have leaders of industry groveling before a bunch of self serving liberal socialists in congress. These men have no sense of honor, no sense of pride in themselves or the ingenuity that makes the country great. It is a comic tragedy when one of the most innovative industries our country has ever given rise to can not put their own brain trust into action to save themselves from themselves. These CEO's do not deserve to have the jobs they hold, and may God forbid that the youth of our nation look at these leaders of disaster as an example of anything worth becoming.  And when a union leader... or worse.. a typical UAW worker at GM or Ford or Chrysler whines to the media about how they're hurting financially and want the bailout to happen, it sickens me that they would want to play on the sympathies of others , play the violin and expect us all to cry for them, instead of getting themselves out and pulling double duty, extra jobs, whatever it takes to make the bill payments and , call me hard hearted if you want but no tax dollars should go to prop up the benefits and pensions that GM is on the verge of defaulting on. I don't paint them all with a sweeping brushstroke, but it's a sad commentary when an able-bodied person will become a beggar if they think they'll get tax money out of it. There are, of course, people who are genuinely disabled and can not fend for themselves, and we should always be ready to care for those people. But we are not a nation of sob stories, we're a nation of successes built on individual courage and the determination to make it happen. To see our government foster those who would be bums and beggars with promises of spare change in the form of bailouts is just disheartening. I support neither the auto executives nor the Autoworker's Union if that "support" is by way of tax money forcibly taken from me ... and given to them. But that's Obamaism in action. Taking money from those who produce and succeed and giving it to those who don't. If I want to support the auto industry then I will "support" them by purchasing the products they make if they make something I want. It's the government's constitutional duty to provide for the common defense, but it's not the government's duty to provide for failing domestic auto companies and don't bother trying to tell me that Ford, GM and Chrysler are a key part of our national security, you won't be able to sell that bridge here.

IT'S TIME FOR CONSERVATIVES TO BREAK THE GLASS CEILING

The most obvious lesson people should be learning right away from all the bailout failures and frustrations, is that the people who control government revenues are the most politically powerful people on earth and will tolerate no one telling them they can't do what they want to do, and that includes the Constitution, and the citizens of the country.  It's Obama fever now for the liberals in congress. The Democrats are giddy right now with visions of massive spending like never before. Can you see the incrementalism occurring here? It's staggering, it's literally staggering. When they talk about granting the domestic auto manufacturers tens of billions of dollars to restructure... and in doing so ... they say they will create new bureaucracies such as an automobile czar, and oversight committees to rule GM, Ford, and Chrysler... it's pure incrementalism. And it's only the start. This is how the socialist agenda will take control of the biggest segments of our economy and make them government run entitites. This is massive. And it's frightening because they know it will work if they can sneak this sort of phased socialist takeover in under the radar. Everybody should be very worried about this. People want to feel good about the country. The liberalized media, political leader extremists like Al Gore, propped-up race baiters like jackson and Sharpton, all the radical groups who claim the US is a land of intolerance,  Obama himself saying that the US needs to reform its image..., have been working hard for years to convince people we are the dregs of the world, we are selfish greedy, resource wasting, polluting, race intolerant, war mongers. Where has the visible counter argument been except on the internet, occassionally on Fox News, a few periodicals for example the National Review and the Weekly Standard and a few nationally syndicated radio shows like Sean Hannity's, Laura Ingrham's and Rush Limbaugh's, ... , when you have the public being pounded with a sledgehammer of liberal talking points for years, and the opposition being falsely discredited with lies that do not get investigated or revealed as lies but perpetuated by the news media ( the alleged voice of "the people" ). The message that we need to get into the public arena is being stifled at the edges by an overwhelming broadside from the massive fleet of liberal agendas.  And when we have gutless , self-absorbed politicians on our side who are afraid of confidently defining right and wrong, who are reduced to liberalized media wonks looking to massage thier message to be sure they dont offend any particular group of voters.. of course we were doomed to lose this election, and probably many more, unless we stand on uncompromising principles. How can you realistically vote for a wobbly plate of Jell-o? Obama is a stuffed shirt full of phoney promises, but formed an issue on which he would not move, namely his phoney tax cut for 95% of citizens and raising the rate on the evil rich people AND here's where I think the pivotal point was..., he represented an iconic figure who ... with a LACK of anything more powerful being articulated and offered from the Republicans.., represented the most significant positive thing to vote for offered in either campaign, a breaking of the minority glass ceiling in the Presidency. That is a feel-good issue that McCain did not find a way to trump. He SHOULD have found a way to trump it... he COULD have found a way to trump it with a vital core Conservative message delivered with confidence and unabashed reverence for ALL the traditions that make the country great.. but he was awash in his maverick personna and his fear of upsetting some blocks of voters. Fear..., fear of the media has crippled the Republican party. You know, if a Republican Conservative would simply say... "screw the media..." and be staunch, it wouldn't matter how the media spins it. A genuine Conservative message is what it is at face value, there is no massaging or nuancing in Conservatism. Sarah Palin said at the Convetion that she wasn't going to DC to please the media. If only we could give that steel spine of resolve to the party, wonders could occur. The media talks about glass ceilings being broken, well..., there's been a glass ceiling that's been in existence now for years, built by the intolerant left with the willing aid of national media in order to keep traditional values down... it's time for Conservatives to break through that glass ceiling.

REPUBLICANS CAN WIN BACK POWER - STARTING NOW!

 The political party that STOPS the federal government's dangerous slide into the centuries of debilitating debt that this horribly dangerous approach to solving economic problems with various industries is taking, will rise to Power in the next election cycle. The congress has grown into a sickening entity of socialism, resolving to give away hundreds of billions of dollars of "our" money to companies who they randomly decide are worthy of getting our redistributed wealth, and now.. is taking ownership of stock in banks.  Paulson should be fired, forced to resign immediately for abusing the power of the treasury and using billions of taxpayer funds to buy stock in banks, basically committing fraud by using the bailout money for something other than for what it was intended. . Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi should be the target of a special prosecutor for thier role in stopping reforms that might have prevented the mortgage crisis. The Republicans need to fold thier arms and say NO MORE.  Every Republican Senator, every Republican Representative needs to stand shoulder-to-shoulder and vote no on every spending proposal, every spending bill that is a bailout of any industry, any company. Let the Democrats fall flat on thier faces under the anger of the public as they prepare to give away ever more billions of dollars to any struggling company that can call itself a bank, including GM and now American Express. let's see if the Democrats like Pelosi who are salivating like kids in a candy store at all the money they can now play with because an Obama presidency will rubber stamp thier social agendas have the guts to take the heat all by themselves for subsidizing all these businesses with taxpayer funds.  To every bailout , every giveaway proposal raised by Democrats Republicans should counter with a plan to cut taxes and refuse any plan from the Democrats that calls for using tax money to shore-up weak businesses.

DO NOT WISH OBAMA SUCCESS AS PRESIDENT

I am sick and tired of hearing people say we need to wish Obama success as our President. Why should we wish Obama success? No one should hope Obama succeeds in his agenda as President. Why should we want our military weakened, our national stature diminished, our enemies strengthened, our taxes raised, and our medical systems and mortgage industries nationalized?  I hope Obama fails completely as President in what he seeks for this country. If he succeeds, then we all "lose". The only thing I can wish him success at is in raising his own awareness of the stupidity of his own ideas. I wish him success at realizing Conservatism is the best approach to governance, and I wish him success in overcoming his own deeply radical philosophies. I wish him success in realizing that General Petraeus knows more about how to win wars than he does and that he should take the General's advice in how to proceed and that military expenditures need to be strengthened, not cut.  I wish him success in realizing that he needs to Lower taxes on ALL earners and businesses in this country, and not raise any taxes at all and of the need to make the Bush tax cuts permanent and that it was his own party that caused the mortgage crisis, not greed on Wall Street.  I wish him success in waking up from his liberal fantasy dreamland and realizing that talking unconditionally to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran and Basher al-Assad of Syria is like talking to bloodthirsty mass murderers who will use his own obvious weakness against him.

THE MEDIA WOOD CHIPPER IS CLOGGED WITH THE BONES OF OBAMA'S CRITICS

It's kind of funny, but mostly frightening.  Joe Wurzelbacher , often called "Joe the plumber"  because he works for a plumbing and heating company, has become a national icon for what's wrong with the Obama campaign. You have seen the attacks on Joe since he became the definition of the difference between McCain and Obama, the assaults on Joe's tax problems, accusations of not being a real plumber, how Obama says it's unrealistic to think of a plumber making over 250k. The attacks on Joe are the deliberate and savage work of the Obama camp and thier willing assassination teams in the liberal news media. Do you know..., that the media and the Obama camp have caused a situation which may shut down the company that Joe works for? In the course of digging like wild eyed ferral dogs on a search for a way to crucify Joe and turn him into an evil creature, the dirt sniffing hogs in the media discovered that the company  Joe works for didn't insist that Joe have a state accredited journeyman's or apprenticeship license.  Well, guess what?  "Somehow" ( ...we can guess how...) that news was carried to the Toledo Plumbing Board Of Control and now the board says they are considering sanctions against Newell Plumbing & Heating and Joe himself.  This is the Palin attack sydrome all over again.  Anyone who represents Real America in opposition to Obama must be destroyed by Obama and his cohorts in the media, in order to silence them.  The real story with Joe, is the resulting attempt to hide, bury, cloak, and deflect Obama's absolutely socialist slip of the tongue as Obama accidentally exposed more of his own true nature and agenda than he wanted to while responding to Joe's question about why he should be taxed more if he wants to run a plumbing business that could make over 250k a year. This is amazing.  We got a glance, for just a minute..., on live television... at the REAL OBAMA... and when they realized what happened, the liberal media and Obama's campaign crew let out a long loud scream of horror in thier dark cloistered back rooms realizing that WE might actually figure out what Obama really intends. The carefully crafted, molded and painted tin foil image of Obama as a reformer was shredded by Obama himself temporarily as he uttered the now famous phrase "we need to spread the wealth around" in regard to why he wants to raise taxes. So the media scramble to cart Joe the plumber off into the night and dispose of him in a bloody wood-chipper ensued at a fever pitch.  God help us all, if Obama becomes president.  We will no longer be free to oppose tin horn socialists like Obama without fear of having the collective body of the socialism adoring media coming after us with thier dogs and machine guns. If anything can be said to come close in current times on a national scale in our country to reminding us of Nazi Germany, it's the hate filled incarnation of the modern left wing press.

OBAMA "APPRECIATES" YOUR HARD WORK

Most people by now have heard Barack Obama's comment to the over taxed plumber who questioned why his tax rates should go up. obama replied "It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. The plan is to spread the wealth around.".  according to CBS Obama then continued..."“I’m gonna cut taxes a little bit more for the folks who are most in need and for the 5% of the folks who are doing very well - even though they’ve been working hard and I appreciate that – I just want to make sure they’re paying a little bit more in order to pay for those other tax cuts,”. So..., Obama appreciates the hard work of those who make over 250 thousand?  That's a load of steaming donkey manure. He has in fact shown exactly the opposite, promoting dividng the country into "us" versus "them" based on who makes a certain income.  Obama needs everyone to believe, as Obama himself does, that this plumber earns too much money, and that he doesn't deserve to keep what he manages to end up with after taxes.  He needs to be axed even more, and then that extra money that Obama takes from the plumber needs to be redistributed by Obama to whoever "he" thinks deserves it more. Well, Senator Obama,  you POMPOUS THIEVING LIBERAL, you know NOTHING about the people of this country. You know zip, zero, goose egg, nada, empty-set. Your socialist plans of increasing the amount of money the government is taking by force of law... and redistributing... from the hard working  people of our country is without any merit at all.  The hard working people of this country are more generous with thier money to those less fortunate than themselves , than you, Senator Obama, could ever hope to be in your lifetime using a bottomless supply of tax money you pried from the wallets and purses of those who earned it.  Listen up Senator Obama. In 2007 the total giving to charitable organizations from the American people was 306 billion.  Individuals or household donors gave over 229 billion dollars, and , Senator, those corporations you want to soak donated over 15 billion dollars to charity.  The United States of America is the most generous nation on earth by individual giving, not by government socialism.The amount of money we, as individual citizens, have given to those in need is enough to put 15 thousand dollars in the hand of each of 200 million people. So we don't need your plans for giving away money to people in order for you to buy thier votes, we don't need your plans of taking away money from some earners and giving it to others..., cutting taxes for all earners will put more money in everyone's pocket, but you don't like that idea.  We don't need  "you" ... as President because we don't live in communist China or the USSR.
