THE REPUBLICAN JIMMY CARTER

Poor old former Republican Senator Dole, a great man, a war hero, who nowadays is being played like a useful idiot that the Democrats srcaped up from retirement and suckered with a chance to feel important again in the context of current events. I hate to say it but he's become the Jimmy Carter of the Republican Party. He, and former Senator Daschle ( of all people...), have been working together to promote acceptance of the healthcare reform bill by the Republican party, with "bi-partisan" reforms... ( ha ha).  And , the media, so very very predictable..., love it when a Republican "finds his soul" ( as the liberals might see it...) and seeks "redemption" in the form of submission to the liberal Democrat agenda.  Republicans should keep away from any Democrat healthcare bill as if it were poison. The Democrats want to mix a poison potion of government run healthcare for the nation..., so why should Republicans drink ANY of that poison? Why should they dilute it a little and then take a swallow of the poison? The right and principled thing to do is slam any and all healthcare bills that attempt in any way to increase regulation and extend the reach of the government into our private lives and choices. If Republicans want to do something to increase medical insurance competition and promote tort reform, that's fine, they should introduce a separate bill to do that, and ONLY that..., but should keep away from the boondoggle that Obama wants to inflict on the country. Democrats don't want to bear the repercussions from this mess that Obama wants for healthcare.... alone. They want the Republicans to siphon off some of the poison into themselves, like sucking the venom from a rattlesnake bite, in order to soften the grim impact of the Democrat party's re-election prospects. You see, the strategy is not hard to figure out. IF , the Democrats can sucker Republicans into sucking on this venom sack called government Healthcare, then that leaves the angry public hating both parties equally. And thus does not give the public confidence that Republicans would do things differently. Thus, it evens the odds that repercussions from voting up a healthcare bill will effect negative returns on election results. Now, Republicans know this is the political tactic the Democrats are trying to employ when they accuse the Republicans of partisan politics and call them the party of NO. This is something we want partisanship on, because we should all WANT to have sensible politicians taking a principled stand against this boondoggle bill. Republican partisanship against this bill is a good thing.

OBAMA'S FRENCH-KISS TO MUSLIMS

This speech Obama gave in Cairo was ill advised. I don't think there was anything he could have said that would appease his critics domestically or abroad. I think the end result is a wash. Those who were critics of Obama before the speech have not changed their minds. Those who loved him, still love him. The segment of Muslims who hated and mistrusted him still hate and mistrust him. The reasons for hatered by radical elements of Islam for western democracies is not going to be appeased or resolved with a speech. It is a religious fanatacism that no words will talk them out of. Only by supporting and promoting and vigorously protecting ( and that may mean military support ) footholds of Democracy in the middle east where Democracy has a chance to bloom will it eventually overtake the radicals and push them into a deeper and deeper corner and deeper and deeper isolation. President Obama carries with him the failed premise that all liberal progressives hold. As an ideology, liberals on the extreme left believe that by the simple goodwill of thier empathy, words, and personality, they can change the world and stop those who hate. This is why contrition is a big part of his approach. Liberals believe in apology as a cure for conflict. It's part of the overall ideology. Unfortuantely , the approach doesn't work. You can no more change the minds of radical elements with a handshake and a hug than you can change any religion or religious practice with a speech. It would have been a far better use of his time to try to convince muslims of the value of a working and productive relationship with Israel and the benefits of commerce and shared technology with them, to promote the reasons why capitalism and free markets are valuable and can change societies for the better, to mention the reasons for the formation of our own country as a breakaway from tyranny and oppression, to show how we defeated a monarch and maybe through example of our struggle in the US to maintain freedom and democracy inspire muslims with a foundational example for overthrowing their own tyrannical leaders. But, unfortunately he didn't choose to discuss that. The news media has been praising Obama's speech to the hilt, glorifying it as comparable to Reagan's speech at the Berlin Wall as he demanded that Gorbachev tear it down.  Of course the speeches are not comparable. Obama made no bold demands of the Muslim world but instead praised them with lies about what contributions were made by the Muslim world to mankind. Does it seem to you that Obama had far, far more praise for Islam and the Muslim culture than for his own country and it's core of Christian values? He refused to be pegged as having special symapthies for Islam or Muslims during his campaign, but what are we supposed to think after hearing his toungue-kiss to Muslims?
What passes for televsion news media today is simply not news media. There are no more real reporters. Brian Williams, Kaite Couric, Charles Gibson, etc.. have a record button on their heads, the Obama administration presses it, leaves a message, and then Williams, Coric, etc... plays it back to their dubious audiences. Thats' what the major press outlets have been reduced to, human tape recorders for left leaning politicians to use to advance their liberal agendas.

GOODBYE REPUBLICANS - HERE'S YOUR TERMINATION NOTICE

Hello and welcome to whomever of you may be gazing at my little blog today. And I would also like to extend a very special "Good Morning" to a fine old group of fellows out there. Good Morning Republican party. Good morning General Powell, Senator McCain, Mr. Steel, Senator Ridge, and the rest of you who have expressed reservations about being too critical of Judge Sotomayor for the position of Supreme Court Justice. We appreciate the service, the time, the effort you have given your grand old party. Now, if you will please open and read the letters you have just been handed we would greatly appreciate that. Please don't feel too badly.  It's simply that your services are no longer needed.  Please walk single file as you exit the stage, you will find transportation outside ready to take you permanently back to your private civilian lives. When, as a political party of alleged moral principle and opposition to the spread of the structural disease known as liberalism, it becomes a debate as to whether a debate should be made against the rise to power in the highest unchallengeable lifetime appointment in government a person whose proven rhetoric and body of work represents the antithesis of our foundational freedoms, it is time to clean out the house. When, as a political party founded on preservation of the essential moral and structural framework of the documents which gave rise to independence and freedom and self determination for our nation, the party itself can no longer see the enemy for who it is, it is time to clean out the house. It's so very plain that Liberals and those who call themselves "progressives" want to destroy the Republican party, it rather goes without saying. It's so crystal clear that Powell and the other self proclaimed moderates are the tools being used by enemies of Conservatism for that end. To listen to the lies... the perverse lies... from those who seek to destroy Republicans and more precisely destroy Conservatives... that they are trying to "SAVE" the Republican party is an insult that cuts to the heart of anyone with a scrap or more of intellect. And the thing is , we all know that this is what it's all about. The left wing media knows it, the liberal analysts know it, and the moderates know it. And yet we are treated to this fantasy theater of the likes of Powell clomping around on a media stage like pinnocchio, a useful idiotic puppet of the people who want to destroy the Republicans and he is a willing and happy mouthpiece for them. He sits there like a vetriloquist's dummy mouthing the words of the liberals who hate Republicans and want to dilute Conservatives out of existence as a power, which of course will put the final nail in the Republican coffin. Either Powell and his fantasy-weavers have an Obama-Complex and want to be lead by a Republican version of Obama, in which case if they succeed there is no more Party, or they are happily working to destroy the party principles that they desperately hate and their satisfaction will come from taking it down into the final flames of Hell where it appears is the only fire hot enough in their minds to purge the party of the sin of Conservatism.

With regard to recent dangerous actions of North Korea, just a thought... what if... China is using North Korea as a cover to test their own nuclear weapons technology? Given the provocative and radical nature of North Korea's leader why not let him be the front man and scapegoat for testing tht China wants to do? I'm not sure of that, it's just something that occurred to me as I was considering the situation. Anyway, the question I'm looking to have answered is will the Republicans come up with the right response, regardless of whether Obama will implement it. Republicans , according to liberals... ( and of course if we follow the "moderate approach" we must always view Republicans through the liberal lens..., ), are war mongering nuts. So, if Republicans as a party follow suit with Powell leading the way, they will want to "sit down" and "talk" with Kim Jong-il and try to convince him that this is a bad thing he's doing, like some sort of political version of the Jehovah's Witness but without the moral conviction of their beliefs. Instead of being strong on foreign policy and defense which is , or was..., something Republicans had a lock on..., they will kowtow to the pied piper of liberalism beause those Republicans who gaze through the liberal lens see their opportunity as being right now... with the election of Obama being thier proof that "they" are the type of leaders the country really wants. The right approach is to lead... lead the way by laying down the law, not talking but ordering North Korea to immediately cease or face immediate response. We CAN'T just sit here like a bunch of blithering dolts while that little pig Jong-il makes a mockery of US power. Faliure to bring the North Korean government under control, to allow them to mock us, is going to undermine the war on terror, and further deteriorate our effectiveness and image around the world. For God's sake..., our ALLIES are in the line of their fire. We need to have a US Navy battleship off the coast of North Korea and start doing some "test" firings of its cannons in the general direction of North Korea.

TEMPER TANTRUMS AND REVENGE FOR CLINTON

The businesses that took TARP funds and now are desperate to repay it, should have done a better risk assessment on what it means to take that TARP money in the first place. But what is infuriating to me, is that we are talking about money coming out of our wallets, money that doesn't even exist yet that will put future generations into debt, money that some institutions want to give back ... GIVE BACK... OUR MONEY...  but Obama and our wonderful Treasury Secretary are "refusing" to allow these businesses to pay it back. Even the most vile of loan sharks would be happy to get paid back the money they lent out. You know what this is? This is reverse extortsion. Instead of demanding money from these banks to "protect" them , Obama is demanding that they take money ... to make them complicit in the socialist schemes of an out of control regime. It's like the cop who doesn't want to take a payoff like other cops he heard about who have taken it and are now the slaves of the crooks who gave them the payoff, but they tell him he has no choice, take it or we make life hell for you.

Now, switching to another topic in the news..., we all know that President Obama should never have released the memos detailing interrogation techniques. CIA Directors past and present have said this was a very bad idea, to release these details and even had advised against it before hand. But Obama has an agenda that supersedes the safety of our country. It doesn't matter to him what people far more experienced and knowledgeable than him on this matter have to say, it doesn't matter to him that he has put a knife in the backs of the front line CIA operatives who were risking thier own safety to do what was needed to protect this country. It doesn't matter to him that all the men and women who died fighting terrorists have been stepped on by his personal prejudices and that this released information will set back the war on terror by increasing the boldness of organiztions like Al-Queda and Hamas and others who look at the United States as evil. Obama's agenda invloves poking his finger in the eye of George Bush and the past administration as much as he can to indulge his liberal extremeist propaganda and keep the left wing radicals who support him happy. Personally I don't want to see methods that work being removed from the potential tools that our CIA can use to obtain intelligence that will secure our county's safety. But that is not the position of President Obama. Still, if he felt he had to remove a set of interrogation options from the CIA .., he did not have to make the details available to the world. Instead, Obama could have conducted a very quiet review of the interrogation processes in use now and if Obama felt that methods were still out of line with legal definitions, then he could have instituted further adjustments to bring interrogation methods into line, adjustments that could have been applied quietly..., QUIETLY..., without fanfare, and without our enemies having any knowledge of any change, and if he felt the need to announce anything about it, he could very simply have said something like "I have reviewed the methods being employed and am convinced they are legal". Then he could have said that he would release information about past interrogations after a thorough threat assessment and determination as to whether it would pose harm to the nation. Then he simply could have kept the details under wraps for the forseeable future and that would have been a perfectly acceptable thing a president to do as allegedly the top man defending our country from harm. But for Obama the release of data about interrogations seems more like a game , or even moreso like a goat. Obama has been using President Bush as a goat for everything he wants to do that is the least bit controversial. I think he willingly released the information about interrogations as a way of keeping the Bush bashing alive so that he can perpetually use Bush as a rag to blot out his own socialist plans for the country domestically and abroad. Our freedoms as citizens of the US have not been damaged by the legally questionable methods employed in interrogation of captured terror suspects and known terrorists. The harsh methods which are debated as torture were employed as a last resort, and only in limited cases where CIA operatives were reasonably certain that the subject had information that could save our fellow citizen's lives. If anything, I would argue that these interrogations helped to assure that our freedoms were secured via the protection and insurance of our domestic tranquility, as is stated in the preamble to the Constitution as one of the reasons for establishment of the document itself. It's kind of funny, now, we're getting down into the mire of things like how many times being waterboarded is enough. It's one thing to debate if a process like waterboarding is torture, it's another thing to try to almost nitpick the number of times it is to employed before it's successful. This is what the release of these memos has done. We are now reduced to being armchair interrogators. Most all of the former CIA members I've heard talking about this have said the hard interrogation tactics worked. That's really where the line is drawn on that level. The cutting into the knees of our CIA professionals possibly puts rendition practices as a means of obtaining intelligence back online as a serious alternative. I looked around for instances in the past of any other country's leader willingly doing something like Obama has just done, deliberately making thier country weaker and more vulnerable by willingly exposing information vital to the safety of thier homeland. I can't find anything like it. Ultimately Obama has reduced the effectiveness of CIA interrogations, reduced the fear of our enemies over what might happen to them if they are caught, he has embarrassed our nation yet again with this sort of tabloid expose whch falls in line so nicely with his great apology tour of Europe and South America. Obama is wearing thin and has become one of the most divisive Presidents in US history. Now with President Obama's instigation of this episode we have the spectre being raised by the Obama Justice Department, and now Obama himself not ruling it out, of the possibilty of a war-crimes style investigation of everyone or anyone involved from the Bush administraton in making decisions to use harsh interrogation on captive terror combatants such as sleep deprivation, waterboarding, stress positions, and so on. This is nonsense. Ever since the impeachment trial of President Clinton, the left wing activists and hate mongers have been itching to get some sort of revenge on Republicans for that. If this goes forward, if a show trial investigation of President Bush and his staff or administration is actually instigated, this will be nothing more than a childish temper tantrum from the left out of pure hateful vengeance and nothing to do with any love of the Constitution and freedom. It will spell doom for the Democrats in the next election cycle, as if they haven't already made clowns of themselves in the past 90 days.

DHS SNIPERS HAVE THEIR RIFLES AIMED AT YOU

Many people lately have been discussing the DHS ( Department Of Homeland Security ) report on the alleged threat from people who are basically Conservative issue folks. The report is called "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment".

I read this report recently and the report singles out three big issues that are alleged to be indications of potential threats to the country because they may spur people who are concerned about these issues to violence.

The issues are;

Increased Gun Control, lack of action on the problem of increasing illegal aliens, and expansion of government control. And yes... Right To life as well.

These are looked at as extremist issues in this report. Now here's the really withering part..., and the most significant part ... you need to pay attention to this... a footnote in tiny print at the very bottom of page two of the report says the following in defining who the dangerous right-wing extremists are...,  this is an exact quote from the DHS report...,

"* (U) Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and
adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups),
and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or
rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a
single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

When I read this I felt a wave of absolute disgust and a chilling concern come over me with regard to the attitude and objectives of people in the Obama administration. This definition of who poses the dangers expounded upon this the report is broad in scope and potentially inciteful in context. This is what has most people outraged. And rightfully so.

The news media, excepting FOX news, yesterday tried to basically lump the Tea Party protests in with the violent extremists that report from the DHS was meant to warn law enforcement about. But all that the liberal press needs to do is look at many of the liberal protests that take place in our country and make a fair comparison. They would see that by comparison, the Conservative issue concerns being expressed at the Tea Parties were handled much differently.

Look at some of the truly nasty left wing protest groups who interrupt military funerals, throw condoms at priests, rant and rave and scream with hateful rhetoric... and compare that to the Tea Party protest groups yesterday who were wildly enthusiastic while also presenting an image of respect and maturity in a reasonably controlled atmosphere for thier cause without the vicious name calling and hanging effigies that you would see in more liberal types of protests... which type of rally presents a more dangerous uncontrolled atmosphere? The most negative and vicious attacks coming out of the tea parties was from the left wing media who were there to try to throw a monkey wrench into the works and spin the protests as crazy kook fringe nuts who had no case.

NO MORE BABY TALK...,

On the radio today I heard a soundbite of a voice saying we need to work with the President, and when we have disagreements engage in calm debate ( paraphrasing ) as to our opposition. That was John McCain.  If you heard him, then you heard that gentle, calm , laid back voice of his, talking about how we need to be civil and calm and realize Obama has a very difficult job. Very soothing isn't it?  I love the heroism and admire the sacrifice John McCain made for our country during his time in the military. But he sucks wind as a politician. Period.  He's a compromiser, and we don't need that now. This is not the time for compromise when the American way of life is being roped and gagged and lined up for execution by the firing squad of Obama, Pelosi, Reid , Frank, Dodd and thier ilk. This is the time for anyone who is a real patriot to stand up and start shouting and pounding on the podium to wake up the idiots who voted for Obama. This is when we need an opposition of Parliamentarian Daniel Hannan's quality on a daily basis ripping apart the economic and social train wreck that is the Obama administration. But, let me be clear..., I don't blame Obama for his push to socialism, fascism, and central planning.  I don't blame Pelosi or Reid or Frank for helping it get to his desk so he can make it law.  They are doing exactly what they believe in. They are extremist radical progressives with a full blooded socialist agenda to take over control of every single aspect of our  society from how much money we should be earning, to what sort of medical care each individual should be allotted, to what sort of cars we should be permitted to drive, to what sort of education we should have, to who should be running businesses and which ones deserve to stand and which deserve to die, and to take as much money as they can from our paychecks and investments in order to make thier dreams of tyranny and total dominance come true.  No, I don't blame them at all..., because..., they are simply being the animals that they are.  Just like I don't blame a rhinoceros for charging blindly at anyone who comes near it, or wasps for stinging anyone who gets too close to thier nest, I don't blame radicals for being radical.  I blame my fellow citizens for the ignorance, stupidity, and downright malleability of thier weak minds that made them ignore all the warning signs, all the attempts to educate them as to the extreme radicals we have in our government and what would happen if we put a monster radical like the smooth-talking Obama into the White House. We are getting the hammer put to our heads because of ignorance in our population.  Because of the lame , weak miserable effort by our fellow citizens to understand that looking into the background is key, vital , absolutely imperative to understanding the goals and character of the candidate.  But no, we had well-intentioned but misdirected people shouting thier heads off that we were all misanthropic savages for daring to question Obama's relationship with Wright, Ayers, etc...,  and the uninformed dupes of the masses went along with that because it was populist nonsense to believe that we can't be too critical of anyone of a minority race running for President and that we simply can't hope to understand the culture of his background.  Well, now, in order to remedy this radical agenda that is driving to chop the head off of our constitution and tear the guts out of our nation we need to re-invigorate our fellow citizens with the desire for self determination and turn them away from looking at government as a mother who is there to make everything right, but the time for trying to do that with genteel psychobable talk is over. There's no more time to give a disillusioned Obama voter a cookie and put comforting arm around him and say "I know it looks bad, but times will be better one day.".   We need to make sure our neighbors know they were looked at by Democrats as if they were dunces and that Democrats and News media made fools of them by conditioning them to think like liberals and ignore the danger of who Obama really is, and that they... our fellow citizens..., are fully responsible for the socialist monsters that now inhabit our congress and white house. If you want to know what to do when your local state representative or your state senator is up for re-election, demand that they pledge in writing to cut all federal taxes and spending by 20%, revoke they powers granted to the Treasury Secretary by the Tarp law, and shut down permanently FreddieMac and FannieMae lending institutions, pass a bill for tort reform particularly that will reasonably limit some damage awards in medical malpractice lawsuits so as to help normalize medical costs for doctors and institutions,  and that they will voluntarily limit themselves to two terms and will not run again for political office ever again after that.  We need term limits on all politicians so that there is a cycle of fresh thinking moving into government on a regular basis. Short of having the term limits become law, which will be very difficult, we need to get that pledge from the candidates.  There needs to be a new mindset in DC, and a new level of the greater population taking a very hard and close look at all candidates no matter who they are.

CRAWLING OUT OF THE DARKNESS....

We are not amused Mr. President, Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Reid and Mr. Frank.  All the vitriol and hatered you are spewing at the AIG Corporation is not going to distract us from the fact that you have just spent this country into bankruptcy for the foreseeable future and accomplished nothing in the process. Your hypocritical ranting and raving at "executives" and bonuses is not going to make us forget about your socialist agenda to seize control of the healthcare industry, the banking industry, to force economically unsound environmental policies on businesses that will raise costs for all Americans, your rollback of laws designed to keep us safe from terrorism, and your irresponsible continuation of the banking regulations that required a percentage of loans to be granted to those who could not afford them.

Obama has , up to very recently, been ripping down the economy and saying that government is "the only one" that can fix it. He didn't actually disown that statement yet, that only government can fix it...  ( though he should reverse that idea )... but, trying to suddenly put a positive spin on the economy makes him come off as either hypocritical or a bit suspicious. When a politician "says" one thing and "acts" in the opposite manner, we have a leader who does not believe in his own words, and that is not a good thing.  Obama needs to back up his statement about people staying positive about the economy by showing that "he" is positive about the economy by stopping all government bailouts and letting the market go through natural corrections based on capitalism, and simply and plainly remove barriers to freedom by cutting taxes across the board and letting people keep more of thier own money and thus boost consumption to new heights. If he did that, I would be cheering him on. but he's not doing that. We know he won't do that, because he doesn't really believe in a free market system and wants to control the economic outcome of everyone's lives so that he, in his own mind, can play the hero , can play the savior of the country and institute the sort of socialist ideas he deeply believes in.  Recessions are cyclical and it will turn around regardless of Obama's and Pelosi's and Reid's hideous spending and ... , when it does eventually turn around Obama and his cohorts will lie about it by saying it was his stimulus package that caused the economy to rebound when in fact the so-called stimulus probably will be the cause of a "delay" in the economy rebounding.

OBAMA'S PUPPET MASTERS

I observed, from the time of his rising through the primaries, that the biggest liberals in government were rushing out to praise and endorse Obama over Hillary Clinton. Initially that struck me as a bit odd. My theory was that the Clinton's made some political enemies in thier own party by being such dominating figures.  I think that is absolutley true  now and i am really convinced that this is what carried Obama into office.  Much as I disagree with both the Clinton's political views, they both knew how to play the middle of the road and how to keep the ultra liberal left wing of thier party from going overboard. I think , people like Ted kenedy, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry.. etc.. extemist liberals who were playing up Obama early on... saw a useful fool in Obama. They saw a puppet who could be a tool of the ultra left wing socialists to drive thier agenda through congress.  It strikes me that this is coming home to roost now.  President Obama is fast draining the political capital that carried him into office with grossly out of proportion spending bills that even those with little to no economic background can clearly see is not a good thing. There is rising anger across the country at the tidal wave of spending. I think we are seeing the lack of experience rearing its head. I suspect..., that Obama is thoroughly overwhelmed with the task of being President and is so caught up in the  volitile pressures of security, economy, and foriegn affairs..., a hideous pressure that all Presidents face...the like of which he never really understood till he got into position... that he is not capable of stepping back to analyze the impact of his own drive to get all these big liberal agenda items accomplished. And I think that is exactly what the hard core leftists in congress want. They want him as thier rubber stamp and they bascially have accomplished that.  I think... part of the reason for the rushing of the big ticket liberal economic bills through congress is because he is getting pressure from the elitist constituent groups and politicians who propped him up during his campaign and are expecting payback. Also, he does believe in central planning. Obama is a big government liberal and the idea of big government control comes naturally to him. But I also think..., he's being manipulated to some degree by puppet masters around him who are much more experienced and have big socialist agends they want to see happen.  I never thought Obama was ready to be President, and I think he's proving it.  I don't think we have a president who is in control.

RUSH LIMBAUGH MAKES THE DEMOCRATS TREMBLE

Let's briefly look at just a few examples of Liberals in thier role of dissent, protest, and expression of "free speech". In 1989 the world was exposed to "Art" in the form of a plastic crucifix submerged in urine. It was titled  **** Christ. ( the asterisks are a word beginning with the letter P and ending in ISS)  Supporters claimed it to be an issue of free speech and thus the artist's right to express his opinion. In another infamous example, The Berkeley California City Council voted to send a message to the Marines that they're not welcome in the city. It also voted to give Code Pink its own parking spot outside the Marine recruiting center, which allows a group member to protest during the center's office hours. Code Pink founder Jodie Evans said ""We're trying to end the war, and military recruiting is a way that continues war. One of the pillars of war are soldiers that fight it.". Clearly an attack on the men and women risking thier lives to protect our country, but... of course... that's lauded as free speech. Whenever Liberals protest, mock, denigrate, ridicule, with ad hominem attacks, or at times violent attacks, the symbols or monuments or institutions of our country that define conservative values , millions of liberal media types rush to thier defense. The ACLU leaps out of the bushes with thier tails wagging ready to help them, and anyone who criticizes thier protests as wrong headed is labeled as intolerant and phobic. And now we get to Rush Limbaugh, a Conservative political analyst who with rational context, relevancy, and intellectual honesty declared that he hopes Obama fails. Fails in his goals of redistribution of wealth and government central planning. Fails in his plans to weaken the defense of the country by doing things to embolden our enemies such as shutting down Guantanamo bay detention center and granting Iraqi and other middle eastern tyrants propaganda opportunities with unconditional face to face talks. For expressing his opinion, intellectually supported and mild by far in comparison to the riotous over-emotional approach of the left in thier methods of protest and dissent, he is now the focus of attack by liberal militants in the Democrat party ( The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ) who can not bear to have any of thier political icons or deities critiqued, especially not thier dubious leader Barack Hussein Obama. Rush Limbaugh has what none, not one..., of the Liberal media dogs and left wing kook groups has, the ability to coherently and rationally defend his views.  And he has the courage to speak his mind without fearing what a tidal wave of liberal critics will undoubtedly say and do as a result. The Republicans in DC could learn something by observing how Rush Limbaugh vigorously defends the institutions that made this country great, fearlessly denouncing the intellectually vacant arguments of all the liberal architects of socialism who are given credence in the news and entertainment media and pop culture. One might assume , that since the Democrat party won the Presidential election, and holds majorities on both houses of congress, that they wouldn't be so concerned what one .... ONE.... political commentator says on his radio talk show.  Beyond being an outrageous attack on Mr. Limbaugh, this is interesting for what it says about the insecurity of the Democrats. If Obama's own party believes he is not strong enough to survive some critique on a talk show, we need to be very worried about how he will respond in the face of a national emergency,... and maybe this just proves that Rush Limbaugh's criticism of Obama is exactly right.

IT'S TIME FOR CONSERVATIVES TO BREAK THE GLASS CEILING

The most obvious lesson people should be learning right away from all the bailout failures and frustrations, is that the people who control government revenues are the most politically powerful people on earth and will tolerate no one telling them they can't do what they want to do, and that includes the Constitution, and the citizens of the country.  It's Obama fever now for the liberals in congress. The Democrats are giddy right now with visions of massive spending like never before. Can you see the incrementalism occurring here? It's staggering, it's literally staggering. When they talk about granting the domestic auto manufacturers tens of billions of dollars to restructure... and in doing so ... they say they will create new bureaucracies such as an automobile czar, and oversight committees to rule GM, Ford, and Chrysler... it's pure incrementalism. And it's only the start. This is how the socialist agenda will take control of the biggest segments of our economy and make them government run entitites. This is massive. And it's frightening because they know it will work if they can sneak this sort of phased socialist takeover in under the radar. Everybody should be very worried about this. People want to feel good about the country. The liberalized media, political leader extremists like Al Gore, propped-up race baiters like jackson and Sharpton, all the radical groups who claim the US is a land of intolerance,  Obama himself saying that the US needs to reform its image..., have been working hard for years to convince people we are the dregs of the world, we are selfish greedy, resource wasting, polluting, race intolerant, war mongers. Where has the visible counter argument been except on the internet, occassionally on Fox News, a few periodicals for example the National Review and the Weekly Standard and a few nationally syndicated radio shows like Sean Hannity's, Laura Ingrham's and Rush Limbaugh's, ... , when you have the public being pounded with a sledgehammer of liberal talking points for years, and the opposition being falsely discredited with lies that do not get investigated or revealed as lies but perpetuated by the news media ( the alleged voice of "the people" ). The message that we need to get into the public arena is being stifled at the edges by an overwhelming broadside from the massive fleet of liberal agendas.  And when we have gutless , self-absorbed politicians on our side who are afraid of confidently defining right and wrong, who are reduced to liberalized media wonks looking to massage thier message to be sure they dont offend any particular group of voters.. of course we were doomed to lose this election, and probably many more, unless we stand on uncompromising principles. How can you realistically vote for a wobbly plate of Jell-o? Obama is a stuffed shirt full of phoney promises, but formed an issue on which he would not move, namely his phoney tax cut for 95% of citizens and raising the rate on the evil rich people AND here's where I think the pivotal point was..., he represented an iconic figure who ... with a LACK of anything more powerful being articulated and offered from the Republicans.., represented the most significant positive thing to vote for offered in either campaign, a breaking of the minority glass ceiling in the Presidency. That is a feel-good issue that McCain did not find a way to trump. He SHOULD have found a way to trump it... he COULD have found a way to trump it with a vital core Conservative message delivered with confidence and unabashed reverence for ALL the traditions that make the country great.. but he was awash in his maverick personna and his fear of upsetting some blocks of voters. Fear..., fear of the media has crippled the Republican party. You know, if a Republican Conservative would simply say... "screw the media..." and be staunch, it wouldn't matter how the media spins it. A genuine Conservative message is what it is at face value, there is no massaging or nuancing in Conservatism. Sarah Palin said at the Convetion that she wasn't going to DC to please the media. If only we could give that steel spine of resolve to the party, wonders could occur. The media talks about glass ceilings being broken, well..., there's been a glass ceiling that's been in existence now for years, built by the intolerant left with the willing aid of national media in order to keep traditional values down... it's time for Conservatives to break through that glass ceiling.

OBAMA'S THE GREATEST - LINDSAY LOHAN'S A RACIST

He hasn't even taken the oath of office yet, and Obama is already the greatest president the country has ever had. At least you would think so from all the adoring love stories the press has been printing and vocalizing over the past week since he won the election. In fact , I've found none.. zip , zero, that have anything at all negative to report about Obama. Here's what I've read, Obama will be the greatest bi-partisan President ever, as shown by his desire to bring on board more than just one Republican to his cabinet, as long as they agree with his world view. And much is being made of his sending Jim Leach ( former Republican rep ) along with Madeline Albright to represent him at the Global economic summit. Leach supported and endorsed Obama's candidacy. So much for Leach being a Republican. Fox is headlining a puff piece on how the Obama's will decorate the White House. Yawn. Humorously, a report has surfaced that the US Secret Service has set up a code name of "Renegade" for Barack Obama. Yes, that's fitting. Though no word on what inspired that code name. MSNBC suggests that Obama's decision to hold "tough" unconditional talks with Iran could help ease tensions between the US and Iran. ( how do you hold a "tough" talk when you base the talk on no conditions?) And then... there's this. According to the New Republic, DC economists and Democrat party members are urging Obama to "scale back" his plans for any sort of tax cut, in response to the "Economic emergency". This, I assume, is the same economic emergency that existed a few weeks ago while Obama was pledging ( ahem ) to cut taxes for 95% of working Americans. Suddenly, the emergency is such that he may need to hold back on that for a while. SO we are told. Now, I'd like a show of hands from the Movement Conservatives... how many people knew this was coming? Good. You can all put your hands down now. Of course, Obama isn't quite in office yet. So we're safe for at least another two months, until Obama's first batch of official executive orders hits the street. Here's a fun sidebar.., poor Lindsay Lohan ( an obama supporter, of course) referred to Obama as our first "colored president" , for which she was chided as having used racist language. I don't suspect Lindsay is a racist, and I'm sure it was just an innocent remark. But she just learned that speech is not free if you have liberal leaders. I guess this means the NAACP ( National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) is a racist organization.

REAGAN IS NOT A DIRTY WORD

I am getting more than a little concerned that we are about to lose the Republican Party to a vast no-man's land of squishy principles and gray definitions. With the collapse of the McCain campaign, an opening presented itself to restore the guiding light of the party to the rock-ribbed Conservative base...., to the Reagan Revolution base. Right now the leadership of the party is basically up for grabs. That means that any party member can try to campaign to obtain the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee. Two Conservative men are trying for it. Michael Steel, in collaboration with Newt Gingrich ( who does not want the chairmanship, but is trying to help Steel get there), are vying for the position. Michael Steel is a fairly Conservative man. Former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, though he is against the death penalty , supports raising minimum wage, and supports affirmative action. On everything else he appears to be straight down the line Conservative.  I like Michael Steel but he's not a full Conservative and so I would rather have someone like Bobby Jindal who, except for one vote on completely eliminating personal income tax which he was against doing ( he is otherwise strongly in favor of cutting all forms of taxes ), is a 100 percent Conservative in every way. But... he's not trying for the leadership position.  That's unfortunate. here's what really troubles me. In a report on Fox News, it was stated that Steel and Gingrich were trying to build a new approach to running the GOP. That's fine, a new approach is needed. The  new approach "should" be a return to Reagan Conservatism.  BUT, Gingrich was quoted as saying THIS

... "my job as an American first is to develop a tri-partisan approach to developing solutions for the challenges we face. I use the word tri-partisan to designate the concept of attracting Democrats, Republicans, and independents to solutions that unify most Americans"..

That may seem like an innocent statement, but if this is the plan to reorganize the Republican leadership, and if it gets launched, the party is doomed.  The Republican Party is already losing its soul and purpose and needs to be steered back to it's founding Conservative principles. If Michael Steel , working with Newt, steer the party into some sort of conglomerate no-man's land of a watered down common denominator to attract multi-platformed views of Democrats and Independents, then there is no Republican Party. Political parties are built on principles, not on bendable talking points, not on bi-partisanship, not on pulling in the most people.  You begin with a foundation, a core, a solid cement of working, successful principles upon which the party is formed by like-minded persons. Then, you try to convince others of the value of joining you and the principles you stand for. Changing your core party principles in order to attract others who don't agree with you on most things, would be like pulling random bricks out from the bottom of brick wall, you weaken the entire structure to the point where it has no intrinsic value. This is the lesson to be learned from McCain's tragic campaign for President. He prided himself on bucking the principles of his Party in the name of bi-partisanship to work with his party's political enemies. But don't misunderstand, there's nothing wrong with Republicans working with Democrats, as long as Republicans do not sell out thier core principles in doing that. But John McCain did just that, he worked on liberal bills and agendas with the likes of Kennedy, Feingold and others that brought about legislation that defied the core principles of Conservatism and weakend the position of the party. We need loyal Conservatives leading the Republican party who will not give in to media pressure, Democrat deals, and personal gains at the expense of weakening the Conservative foundation. And one more thing, Reagan is not a dirty word. I am sick and tired of self-anointed beltway Conservatives declaring that Reagan's approach to politics is over, a thing of the past. It's not over, it's not a thing of the past, and it is as relevant now as it was when he took his first oath of office. Those who want to declare Reagan as irrelevant do not belong in the Republican party.

HOW REPUBLICANS CAN WIN THE NEXT ELECTION

Why are Republicans losing? The Republicans as a party have been working it backwards. They start out with trying to figure out what will get them the most votes, they do focus groups and polling, and then adjust the party message to try to appease the widest margin of voters that they can perceive of. They do not begin with a clear unwavering Conservative message and then try to convince people of the greatness of Conservative principles. Strength comes from the core values of principles that work. People admire and respect principles that work. What people don't admire is weakness and malleability in a leader. We don't want shape shifting leaders who will cross-dress in the name of compromise and weaken the image and power of the Presidency. His personal story of courage in combat aside ( we all admire his bravery in the armed forces).., How many times did McCain "the politician" talk about reaching across the aisle as if that were the golden key to a magical world of harmony and light and he was it's angelic keeper? I felt like RETCHING across the aisle every time he said it. How many times did he BOAST... ( good grief ) about spitting in the face of his own party?! That is sick stuff, to swing a hammer down on the people who are backing you..."not" because he's fighting corruption or unethical behavior ( as Sarah Palin was ) in his own party, but because he doesn't believe in the Republican party platform of Conservatism and he doesn't care to stand on the principles and goals of his own party and it's leader but to do whatever he damned well pleases regardless of how it hurts Republican coalitions formed to stand against the Democrats on certain issues. That reeks of back stabbing disloyalty and fosters mistrust.  There's no mystery as to why McCain was, and is one of the most reviled and loathed politicians among Movement Conservatives and was soundly rejected by a great number of them until he picked Sarah Palin to be his VP. He is not a leader of anything, he's a monkey wrench who tosses himself into the gears of Republican political machines built to defy the Democrats. In Obama's acceptance speech the other night, Obama was talking about "remaking" the nation. What country is Obama talking about, Kosovo..., Cuba? Who the hell is he to tell us that the United States needs to be remade? Is that his idea of compassion? We know what compassion is. Conservatism is the definition of compassion because it has faith in the principles of self determination and individual greatness. You know, at one time not too long ago, the people got it. The Contract With America was a conservative agenda and "the people" swept Republicans into Power because of it as the contract was well articulated by people like Newt Gingrich..., who sadly now has gone squishy on Conservatism himself. Part of the problem lingers from the failure of follow up on that surge of Republican power during the Clinton administration. There has been a lingering degradation of trust in the notion of follow-through in those who articulate Conservatism, mainly because when it has been attempted in congress it's been blocked by Democrats and compromise bills have been formed by the squishy centrist Republicans who want to be seen as the "Great Compromisers" who win the day for everyone. We need not only to articulate the principles of Conservatism, but SHOW how it has been applied successfully in every day life, and get Conservative agendas back into the MAINSTREAM consciousness of the Republican congress. To show that we can get legislation passed that supports Conservative principles. Lowering taxes, removing bans on gun ownership, opening up school choice vouchers..., etc.., We also need a Conservative manual. A cleanly expressed statement listing Conservative principles that everyone can easily read and understand. And it MUST be unwavering. Maybe call it the Ten Commandments of Conservatism. Make it a widely known and seen document. Part of the problem with attaining more commonplace understanding is the effort to muddle what Conservatism means. That effort has been made by the left wing media who declare Conservatives as thick headed relics of the past who hate minorities and only support thier rich friends and PACs. The battle to overcome the lies about Conservatism has been waged for years from the edges of the broadcast media systems, web logs, and elite publications. And while headway is slowly being made, it's very slow. What has happened within the political system is that Republicans have been gradually buying the left wing media press. When liberals and Conservatives clash in congress and legislation gets stalled, the press always makes out the Republicans to be villains over it, saying that "the public" wants "something" to be passed or they will be up in arms... and Republicans go squishy and compromise, bend the knee and accept defeat in the form of a fractional victory in order to appease the press so that they will not have nasty stories printed or reported about them. We've got to make it understood by our representatives that we want them to fight not only the Democrats but the press as well, that it is an example of strength and leadership to stand on Conservative principle, even if it means a so-called popular piece of legislation gets shot down over it. Genuine Conservatives are courageous people..., if they are the real article. We've got to make it so that GRIDLOCK means the same as fighting for the people of the country over compromising to the power of the Democrat dictatorship. A whole dynamic needs to be changed in the way elected officials approach thier jobs. I keep thinking of that golden opportunity we missed, when our Republican congress was standing against the Democrats on the bailout bill. Imagine if they had never given in. Imagine the power of that principled Conservative moment winning the day. Imagine if they hadn't squished and agreed to that abomination. It is THAT sort of moment missed time after time after time that is a DIRECT result of the mangled wobbly leadership of people like John McCain who believe that bad legislation is better than none. This is why strength of leadership matters. This is why being a moderate-centrist is predestined failure.

THE WHEELS HAVE COME OFF THE WAGON

A war for the freedom of our nation has been lost. When it became evident last night that Barack Obama had been elected as President of the United States, for the first time in my life my faith in the basic common sense of my country's citizens..., genuinely was destroyed. When I saw the landslide victory that Obama achieved, I felt a sinking in my heart..., not so much because we now have a genuine radical as President.., I believe we can survive this as a nation ( though it will be a struggle)..., but because so many of my fellow citizens were proven to be so deeply ignorant and so politically shallow regarding the dangers of electing a man like Obama to be the leader of the free world. There is simply no excuse in an age of information, when so much knowledge is so readily available at the fingertips of so many people at nearly instantaneous speed , that the electorate should have been so blind to the improbable competency of an Obama administration. This is a genuine problem. It means, despite the long and strident effort to reach people's hearts and minds with facts, common sense, and a fundamental foundational understanding of the principles of economics, national security and sound environmental policies..., the effort failed tremendously.  This is a sensationally disturbing event. It means that a high rift exists between those who look to the future with a carefully studied clarity of the present choices available, and those who base thier calculations for the future on the purely emotional trends of the moment and mood swings pushed and pulled by the manipulative practices of a deeply liberalized news media and educational institution. From a Conservative Movement seat, one has to wonder at what it would take to untangle the masses from the choking vines of a liberal jungle that apparently can not be cut simply with a collective shout of common sense from the wilderness. There is real evidence here that liberal institutions have successfuly marginalized the message of the Conservative base. A reorganization of the grass roots effort to bring straight forward undiluted Conservative principles back to the sole vision of the Republican party needs to be examined. If this had been a very close election, it would be a less dramatic change in course that we need to examine and a more nuanced approach to revitalizing the message of Conservatism. But with the blowout of this election's results , we need to jump in headlong and start ripping away the squishy moderate bi-partisanship that has marked the downfall of the Republican Party. We have been lead as a party , by fear of disengagement from the liberal press, fear of disturbing the liberal segments of the electorate, and lived by the focus group and the opinion poll. The message of this election to the Republican Party is that this approach is an abject failure. God help us, now we have to deal with trying to muddle through a presidency of the most radical liberal ever to hold the office with matching majorities in both houses of congress. We will get through this, but we will have a lot of work to do to unscramble the mess that an Obama administration is going to make.

TURNING THE PAGE ON LIBERALISM - HATE ISN'T HATE WHEN A LIBERAL HATES YOU

They're getting bold. The liberals are slipping and letting thier real plans surface because they sense an Obama victory and they think that means socialism is the wave of the future. This may be even more dangerous than suspected. An Obama presidency will be used by liberals as an excuse to claim a national mandate to socialize healthcare, energy companies, home ownership, ban fatty foods, extend the waiting period for gun ownership to 90 days.., and it goes on and on. It seems like, once Obama slipped and let the cat out of the bag with Joe The Plumber, liberals got all excited about hoping on the bandwagon. This can't be a good trend. An Obama win could realistically signal the start of a disasterous social experiment via a liberal congress taking advantage of dislike for Bush as a mandate for the extreme opposite. I have an inherent trust in the goodness of... and generally the wisdom of... the vast majority of our country's population. Yet there is no doubt that an aging baby boom generation with significant segments raised without the sorts of ethics thier parents or grandparents had been raised with is so focused on "themselves" that they may not be looking very far down the road.  It will take those of us who are focused on the future to bring those of us who are focused only on the present to thier senses, and we may have to drag "them" metaphorically into the controlling seats of government. It boggles the mind in astounding ways to conceive of the notion that anyone familiar with Obama's fiscal record and stated goals would look to him as the answer for a struggling economy. Everyone has been told, by the Republicans and Conservatives, from every venue, of the dangers of an Obama presidency, but if we are to believe the opinion polls, a large enough segment simply don't care. They are trained to know only one thing, whatever party is in Power during a presidential election must be tossed out if the economy has problems. It's like an inbred DNA program. It doesn't matter that the "other" party might be worse, it's all about decades of political programming. So, what can "we" the people do..., in these remaining days to bring the light of knowledge shining down on the less intuitive members of the population. That "may" be an impossible task. To overcome decades of programming in a matter of days is a tall order. We bring out evidence of the truth for those whose senses have been dulled by decades of liberal exposure, but they've been trained by the media, colleges, whatever.. to be skeptical of anything that smacks of Conservative values. The problem is leadership. There are no universally respected national figures who are decrying an Obama presidency. The icons of our society are mostly trash. When you have Oprah and The View setting the tone for daytime talk, when you have sports figures and whole teams tied up in scandals, when you have the hollywood left producing trash that trashes the US, when you have a political party with a moderate tone that seeks compromise and bi-partisanship at the expense of foundational principle.., "where" is a powerful national figure who can grab the attention of the country who will set the record straight on Obama, national defense and socialism? Changing minds at the grass roots is a long process. The NEW media is pouring out the truth every day, we are all desperately trying to make it understood that we face a seminal moment in our history as to how we approach governance of the country. I'm not sure that there is much more we can do. It may be a generational change that is the only way to really fix this. Kids growing up and seeing the self destructive behavior of the irrational ideals of liberalism and of living only for the moment. AND ONE MORE THING... You know that outrageous Halloween display showing an effigy of Sarah Palin hanging by a noose? Where is the same outrage in the press who were all upset over the "false" accusations that McCain/Palin rallies where fomenting hate? Why aren't they harping on a real display of genuine hate with the same eagerness? And where is the rabid investigation into this guy's past who put up the display, any outstanding taxes, any personal problems, what he does for a living and where he works, his political affiliations.... just like those dirt sniffing pigs did to Joe the Plumber? Where is it? We know press outrage simply is not there when the Republican candidate is the target of hate because of the same old double standard the press has held for decades. When liberals engage in open displays of hate it's never called "hate" it's simply lauded and defended by the press as free speech.
