NO MORE BABY TALK...,

On the radio today I heard a soundbite of a voice saying we need to work with the President, and when we have disagreements engage in calm debate ( paraphrasing ) as to our opposition. That was John McCain.  If you heard him, then you heard that gentle, calm , laid back voice of his, talking about how we need to be civil and calm and realize Obama has a very difficult job. Very soothing isn't it?  I love the heroism and admire the sacrifice John McCain made for our country during his time in the military. But he sucks wind as a politician. Period.  He's a compromiser, and we don't need that now. This is not the time for compromise when the American way of life is being roped and gagged and lined up for execution by the firing squad of Obama, Pelosi, Reid , Frank, Dodd and thier ilk. This is the time for anyone who is a real patriot to stand up and start shouting and pounding on the podium to wake up the idiots who voted for Obama. This is when we need an opposition of Parliamentarian Daniel Hannan's quality on a daily basis ripping apart the economic and social train wreck that is the Obama administration. But, let me be clear..., I don't blame Obama for his push to socialism, fascism, and central planning.  I don't blame Pelosi or Reid or Frank for helping it get to his desk so he can make it law.  They are doing exactly what they believe in. They are extremist radical progressives with a full blooded socialist agenda to take over control of every single aspect of our  society from how much money we should be earning, to what sort of medical care each individual should be allotted, to what sort of cars we should be permitted to drive, to what sort of education we should have, to who should be running businesses and which ones deserve to stand and which deserve to die, and to take as much money as they can from our paychecks and investments in order to make thier dreams of tyranny and total dominance come true.  No, I don't blame them at all..., because..., they are simply being the animals that they are.  Just like I don't blame a rhinoceros for charging blindly at anyone who comes near it, or wasps for stinging anyone who gets too close to thier nest, I don't blame radicals for being radical.  I blame my fellow citizens for the ignorance, stupidity, and downright malleability of thier weak minds that made them ignore all the warning signs, all the attempts to educate them as to the extreme radicals we have in our government and what would happen if we put a monster radical like the smooth-talking Obama into the White House. We are getting the hammer put to our heads because of ignorance in our population.  Because of the lame , weak miserable effort by our fellow citizens to understand that looking into the background is key, vital , absolutely imperative to understanding the goals and character of the candidate.  But no, we had well-intentioned but misdirected people shouting thier heads off that we were all misanthropic savages for daring to question Obama's relationship with Wright, Ayers, etc...,  and the uninformed dupes of the masses went along with that because it was populist nonsense to believe that we can't be too critical of anyone of a minority race running for President and that we simply can't hope to understand the culture of his background.  Well, now, in order to remedy this radical agenda that is driving to chop the head off of our constitution and tear the guts out of our nation we need to re-invigorate our fellow citizens with the desire for self determination and turn them away from looking at government as a mother who is there to make everything right, but the time for trying to do that with genteel psychobable talk is over. There's no more time to give a disillusioned Obama voter a cookie and put comforting arm around him and say "I know it looks bad, but times will be better one day.".   We need to make sure our neighbors know they were looked at by Democrats as if they were dunces and that Democrats and News media made fools of them by conditioning them to think like liberals and ignore the danger of who Obama really is, and that they... our fellow citizens..., are fully responsible for the socialist monsters that now inhabit our congress and white house. If you want to know what to do when your local state representative or your state senator is up for re-election, demand that they pledge in writing to cut all federal taxes and spending by 20%, revoke they powers granted to the Treasury Secretary by the Tarp law, and shut down permanently FreddieMac and FannieMae lending institutions, pass a bill for tort reform particularly that will reasonably limit some damage awards in medical malpractice lawsuits so as to help normalize medical costs for doctors and institutions,  and that they will voluntarily limit themselves to two terms and will not run again for political office ever again after that.  We need term limits on all politicians so that there is a cycle of fresh thinking moving into government on a regular basis. Short of having the term limits become law, which will be very difficult, we need to get that pledge from the candidates.  There needs to be a new mindset in DC, and a new level of the greater population taking a very hard and close look at all candidates no matter who they are.

OBAMA BECOMES DON CORLEONE

The reason some corporate executives are playing both sides of the coin, standing up for Conservative fiscal policy and then bizzarely praising Obama is not hard to figure out. Obama has become a thug. Every bailout has been used by Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Obama, etc..., as extortion for taking control of those businesses. This is almost like loan sharking. It's insidious. It's like some shady guy in a trenchcoat stepping out of a dark alley and whispering in your ear, "hey, buddy, I hear you're having money problems... well... I can help". And you basically sign your life away to him in exchange for financial help. Is this what Obama voters wanted? Is this Hope and Change? Is it the business of our government to be a thug to private businesses and to people who make over 250K? Think about the role reversal that is going on here. The US federal government descends from the people, it is owned and operated by you and me. But, with the current trend, with the outrageous spending and taxing, the elected representatives of the people have taken on a new vision for our government, a vision whereby the body of our government represents our parents, and we are mere children being given an allowance, and being spanked and sent to the stand in corner for daring to question it's authority. You know, everyone saw what happened to "Joe the plumber" when he said he didn't like Obama's plans. No one wants to be attacked by the highest sitting political leader in the world with the resources at his fingertips to litterally destroy a person's life, and Obama and his team has proven they will do so if it means shutting down voices of opposition that might be taken seriously.

I've been trying to put this administration and congress into a perspective that boils it down to it's goals and ideology overall. What I observe, is that the leaders in power in our federal government right now have become an adversary of the people, of the foundational documents of our nation, and of the greater vision of our founding fathers. Our government is fighting us. Obama et-al are throwing punches at our way of life, while trying to convince us that every punch we take is good for us, and strengthens us, while the real goal of our adversary is to weaken us , the masses, until we give up and admit we are a defeated bunch of misanthropes. Never, I don't think in all of our history, has such a fluid abomination as the wilful destruction of capitalism and self determination been put forward as it is now. Obama once said "we are the ones we've been waiting for", well, let's modify that to realistically fit his administration. "We have met the enemy, and he is us". That should be the Obama slogan for his administration. He is an enemy of the American way of life. But elections have consequences.  And we now face what the majority elected.

We could say that Reagan was an actor who made you believe he was sincere about his view of the country whenever he spoke, and he was... he was always genuine. Obama is not an actor but he puts on an act whenever he speaks, complete with a script and cue cards. He is such a poser as President, he is running the exeuctive branch as if it were a branch of ACORN. I think obama voters are beginning to peer into his mask and see something they don't like. It's stunning how much socialism has been rammed into legislation since he took office. It is overwhelming and it is so destructive that even Obama voters can not help but notice.

Just one more thing, I'm all for our political leaders promoting a positive view and inspiring people toward consumption, BUT as I recall McCain was lambasted, broiled, fried, and served up like sushi by Obama, his cronies, and everyone in the media for daring to say that the fundamentals of our economy are sound. Obama recently saying ( paraphrasing...) that we should trust in most our financial institutions and that most have conducted sound fiscal policies and that in some basic ways our economy is okay, sounds STRIKINGLY similar. But he will , of course, get a pass on it that McCain did not. I beleive McCain was actually forced to apologize for his "insensitivity" for remarking on the same thing that Obama basically just said. The difference is, I think McCain really did and does have faith in the strength of the American work ethic, and Obama is just talking to hear himself sound Presidential because many pundits were asking why he doesn't present a more positive and inspirational view for our economy, and he doesn't actually mean a single word of it.

Every day I check real estate listings on my local areas to track prices and trends, looking at investment properties. About twice a month for the past 6 months, almost without fail, home owners have been kocking 5 to 10 percent off the price of thier homes in a desperate attempt to sell. A beautiful townhouse across the street from me started off at 289K about 6 months ago, it just sold at 244K. Now here's the thing. There are plenty of people who would have loved to have that house. And it would have sold much sooner and for much closer to the original asking price, if disposable income was in greater command for the consumer. This is not rocket science, really. It's not hard. If .... I know this is a radical thought... but if , instead of baling out banks, all tax paying consumers were given a 20% cut in federal income tax, and capital gains was cut by just 20%, if more disposable assests , more liquid assets were left in the hands of the consumer... buying and selling would skyrocket. There would be a swift correction and markets would rise to new heights. It's so simple. More money in your pocket, more opportunity to buy the things you want and/or need. But we now face massive spending that too many people are just rolling over for. What happened to government taking the burden OFF of people? Cutting the tax burden is such a simple idea, there should be no cloudiness in the minds of the masses, but Obama's administration works to put those clouds up there

IT'S TIME FOR CONSERVATIVES TO BREAK THE GLASS CEILING

The most obvious lesson people should be learning right away from all the bailout failures and frustrations, is that the people who control government revenues are the most politically powerful people on earth and will tolerate no one telling them they can't do what they want to do, and that includes the Constitution, and the citizens of the country.  It's Obama fever now for the liberals in congress. The Democrats are giddy right now with visions of massive spending like never before. Can you see the incrementalism occurring here? It's staggering, it's literally staggering. When they talk about granting the domestic auto manufacturers tens of billions of dollars to restructure... and in doing so ... they say they will create new bureaucracies such as an automobile czar, and oversight committees to rule GM, Ford, and Chrysler... it's pure incrementalism. And it's only the start. This is how the socialist agenda will take control of the biggest segments of our economy and make them government run entitites. This is massive. And it's frightening because they know it will work if they can sneak this sort of phased socialist takeover in under the radar. Everybody should be very worried about this. People want to feel good about the country. The liberalized media, political leader extremists like Al Gore, propped-up race baiters like jackson and Sharpton, all the radical groups who claim the US is a land of intolerance,  Obama himself saying that the US needs to reform its image..., have been working hard for years to convince people we are the dregs of the world, we are selfish greedy, resource wasting, polluting, race intolerant, war mongers. Where has the visible counter argument been except on the internet, occassionally on Fox News, a few periodicals for example the National Review and the Weekly Standard and a few nationally syndicated radio shows like Sean Hannity's, Laura Ingrham's and Rush Limbaugh's, ... , when you have the public being pounded with a sledgehammer of liberal talking points for years, and the opposition being falsely discredited with lies that do not get investigated or revealed as lies but perpetuated by the news media ( the alleged voice of "the people" ). The message that we need to get into the public arena is being stifled at the edges by an overwhelming broadside from the massive fleet of liberal agendas.  And when we have gutless , self-absorbed politicians on our side who are afraid of confidently defining right and wrong, who are reduced to liberalized media wonks looking to massage thier message to be sure they dont offend any particular group of voters.. of course we were doomed to lose this election, and probably many more, unless we stand on uncompromising principles. How can you realistically vote for a wobbly plate of Jell-o? Obama is a stuffed shirt full of phoney promises, but formed an issue on which he would not move, namely his phoney tax cut for 95% of citizens and raising the rate on the evil rich people AND here's where I think the pivotal point was..., he represented an iconic figure who ... with a LACK of anything more powerful being articulated and offered from the Republicans.., represented the most significant positive thing to vote for offered in either campaign, a breaking of the minority glass ceiling in the Presidency. That is a feel-good issue that McCain did not find a way to trump. He SHOULD have found a way to trump it... he COULD have found a way to trump it with a vital core Conservative message delivered with confidence and unabashed reverence for ALL the traditions that make the country great.. but he was awash in his maverick personna and his fear of upsetting some blocks of voters. Fear..., fear of the media has crippled the Republican party. You know, if a Republican Conservative would simply say... "screw the media..." and be staunch, it wouldn't matter how the media spins it. A genuine Conservative message is what it is at face value, there is no massaging or nuancing in Conservatism. Sarah Palin said at the Convetion that she wasn't going to DC to please the media. If only we could give that steel spine of resolve to the party, wonders could occur. The media talks about glass ceilings being broken, well..., there's been a glass ceiling that's been in existence now for years, built by the intolerant left with the willing aid of national media in order to keep traditional values down... it's time for Conservatives to break through that glass ceiling.

HERE COMES THE TAX TYPHOON - OBAMA'S LIES ARE COMING HOME TO ROOST

First, McCain's answer on Leno's show to criticism of Sarah Palin shows that he is bitter about the loss and it suggests that he is fine with letting Sarah take the hit for his own bad campaign. It calls into question what kind of leader he would be, who turns his back on his own campaign ally. Secondly, regarding the Democrat proposed bailout of the auto industry and the cash Christmas present to the country. It is sad to hear those hard working guys who put in time at GM ( et al) basically begging the case to bailout thier livelihood. I can understand how it must feel to have that pressure on you as an employee on the brink. And while I sympathize with any hard working guys who lose thier job through no fault of thier own, "WE" the American public, are not responsible for the downfall of the US auto industrial complex. Therefore "WE" should not be bailing them out. The auto manufacturers need to face the music and deal with the anger of thier own employees, not try to PASS that anger to the PUBLIC because "WE" don't want to spend public money to bailout another industry. Those angry workers at GM have a right to be angry, but NOT at YOU and ME... they need to direct thier anger at the company that so badly mismanaged thier business that they are now on the brink of disaster "and".... and.... they need to also look to the congress and president who continually ratchet up the demand for higher and higher fuel efficiencies in Domestic auto manufacturers who CAN NOT be expected to meet those demands reasonably and produce market competitive vehicles. The whole CAFE standards practice is a fiasco that in its own way contributes to the problem the auto manufacturers face now. Also, maybe some of these hard working GM union guys should maybe check out working for Toyota. It means giving up the union, but I hear Toyota does very well by thier employees regardless. And lets agree..., we got a disaster with the election of Obama.  The out-of-control spending proposals in the form of bailouts and stimulus packages that are currently flying from the flapping gums of Nancy Pelosi are an indication of the tidal wave of debt we are facing for future generations with an Obama administration. The Democrats have taken out thier super powered deluxe tax sucking vaccume and have it aimed at our wallets and pocket books, and we've got no realistic way to stop them now. Zip, zero, nada.  Not till the next election cycle. Obama has been a tax hungry radical liberal his entire known career, now he's President and has gotten a congress to match his ambitions, and we are about to face the music for having elected him and a liberal democrat congress to back him up.  The only question is, how long will it be until the people who fell for his phony baloney tax cut for 95% of Americans rhetoric will realize they've been conned.  If Pelosi gets her way, it won't be long.  50 billion to bail out GM ( which Obama already said he is in favor of) , a 500 billion infrastructure stimulus package that includes  a one time cash gift to a segment of the population to spend for Christmas , ( allegedly a proposed $2000 dollars for each family making under 140K per year ). Lump that in with the 850 billion mortgage bailout earlier, and we're talking about over 1.5  trillion dollars in spending giveaway's and Obama hasn't even taken the oath of office yet. There will be a lot more to come as well.  Let's see what the congressional Republicans do in the face of this disaster. If they want to redeem themselves, then it's time for them to stop any and all bi-partisan agreements on any and all Democrat plans for spending and bailouts.  Let the Democrats fall flat on thier faces all by themselves with this tax and spend typhoon they're building as they prepare to grow the debt and destroy the economy.

AN INCREMENTAL DESTRUCTION OF FREEDOM

That it's even being considered to bail out the auto industry ( again ), is a crime against the founding principles of our country, and puts the government ( and thus the nation)  squarely onto the slippery slope of fascism, in fact at this point we have already fully engaged a part of our economy in fascist measure, with the tether of the lone rope keeping us from falling into the black hole below fraying at the edges. You must realize what it means to have the government taking ownership of formerly private industries. Does the name Hugo Chavez ring a bell?  For "the good of the country" he took away private ownership of all oil companies in Venezuela. There is a theory called incrementalism, which states that the masses will accept anything if it is done gradually, allowing slow acclimation by the public.  We are THERE. We are in the midst of incremental government takeover, inch-by-inch,  of any industry on which the wealth of the nation is measured. The only brake we have is the right to vote, and possibly the Supreme Court, if it will intervene in this ..., which is itself questionable. The right to vote has proven USELESS in this past election cycle since the masses have voted in the most liberal president in history and given him a majority party control of the congress. The blindness of the public eye to the incrementalism of the weakening of free market capitalism is ASTOUNDING. Not that McCain would have been a lot better, after all he voted to allow Paulson to do the ridiculous things he's done so far with his multi-billion dollar budget. This is why we need genuine Conservatives to win the positions of power in our government, to stop this incremental destruction of our system of capitalism and economic freedom.

HOW REPUBLICANS CAN WIN THE NEXT ELECTION

Why are Republicans losing? The Republicans as a party have been working it backwards. They start out with trying to figure out what will get them the most votes, they do focus groups and polling, and then adjust the party message to try to appease the widest margin of voters that they can perceive of. They do not begin with a clear unwavering Conservative message and then try to convince people of the greatness of Conservative principles. Strength comes from the core values of principles that work. People admire and respect principles that work. What people don't admire is weakness and malleability in a leader. We don't want shape shifting leaders who will cross-dress in the name of compromise and weaken the image and power of the Presidency. His personal story of courage in combat aside ( we all admire his bravery in the armed forces).., How many times did McCain "the politician" talk about reaching across the aisle as if that were the golden key to a magical world of harmony and light and he was it's angelic keeper? I felt like RETCHING across the aisle every time he said it. How many times did he BOAST... ( good grief ) about spitting in the face of his own party?! That is sick stuff, to swing a hammer down on the people who are backing you..."not" because he's fighting corruption or unethical behavior ( as Sarah Palin was ) in his own party, but because he doesn't believe in the Republican party platform of Conservatism and he doesn't care to stand on the principles and goals of his own party and it's leader but to do whatever he damned well pleases regardless of how it hurts Republican coalitions formed to stand against the Democrats on certain issues. That reeks of back stabbing disloyalty and fosters mistrust.  There's no mystery as to why McCain was, and is one of the most reviled and loathed politicians among Movement Conservatives and was soundly rejected by a great number of them until he picked Sarah Palin to be his VP. He is not a leader of anything, he's a monkey wrench who tosses himself into the gears of Republican political machines built to defy the Democrats. In Obama's acceptance speech the other night, Obama was talking about "remaking" the nation. What country is Obama talking about, Kosovo..., Cuba? Who the hell is he to tell us that the United States needs to be remade? Is that his idea of compassion? We know what compassion is. Conservatism is the definition of compassion because it has faith in the principles of self determination and individual greatness. You know, at one time not too long ago, the people got it. The Contract With America was a conservative agenda and "the people" swept Republicans into Power because of it as the contract was well articulated by people like Newt Gingrich..., who sadly now has gone squishy on Conservatism himself. Part of the problem lingers from the failure of follow up on that surge of Republican power during the Clinton administration. There has been a lingering degradation of trust in the notion of follow-through in those who articulate Conservatism, mainly because when it has been attempted in congress it's been blocked by Democrats and compromise bills have been formed by the squishy centrist Republicans who want to be seen as the "Great Compromisers" who win the day for everyone. We need not only to articulate the principles of Conservatism, but SHOW how it has been applied successfully in every day life, and get Conservative agendas back into the MAINSTREAM consciousness of the Republican congress. To show that we can get legislation passed that supports Conservative principles. Lowering taxes, removing bans on gun ownership, opening up school choice vouchers..., etc.., We also need a Conservative manual. A cleanly expressed statement listing Conservative principles that everyone can easily read and understand. And it MUST be unwavering. Maybe call it the Ten Commandments of Conservatism. Make it a widely known and seen document. Part of the problem with attaining more commonplace understanding is the effort to muddle what Conservatism means. That effort has been made by the left wing media who declare Conservatives as thick headed relics of the past who hate minorities and only support thier rich friends and PACs. The battle to overcome the lies about Conservatism has been waged for years from the edges of the broadcast media systems, web logs, and elite publications. And while headway is slowly being made, it's very slow. What has happened within the political system is that Republicans have been gradually buying the left wing media press. When liberals and Conservatives clash in congress and legislation gets stalled, the press always makes out the Republicans to be villains over it, saying that "the public" wants "something" to be passed or they will be up in arms... and Republicans go squishy and compromise, bend the knee and accept defeat in the form of a fractional victory in order to appease the press so that they will not have nasty stories printed or reported about them. We've got to make it understood by our representatives that we want them to fight not only the Democrats but the press as well, that it is an example of strength and leadership to stand on Conservative principle, even if it means a so-called popular piece of legislation gets shot down over it. Genuine Conservatives are courageous people..., if they are the real article. We've got to make it so that GRIDLOCK means the same as fighting for the people of the country over compromising to the power of the Democrat dictatorship. A whole dynamic needs to be changed in the way elected officials approach thier jobs. I keep thinking of that golden opportunity we missed, when our Republican congress was standing against the Democrats on the bailout bill. Imagine if they had never given in. Imagine the power of that principled Conservative moment winning the day. Imagine if they hadn't squished and agreed to that abomination. It is THAT sort of moment missed time after time after time that is a DIRECT result of the mangled wobbly leadership of people like John McCain who believe that bad legislation is better than none. This is why strength of leadership matters. This is why being a moderate-centrist is predestined failure.

DEMOCRATS ARE WORRIED - ARE EMPLOYING INTIMIDATION TACTICS

The news media is set to call this election for Obama.  They don't like to have thier opinion polling data discredited by the voting populace, and they want Obama to win no matter what. I heard several news anchors saying they will call it as soon as they get exit polling data, even if you and I are still at the polling stations voting.  They will call it as soon as they can in order to depress as much turnout for McCain as they possibly can. In other words they are ready to jump on board to any flimsy data they get to declare it's over and hope to convince Republicans to stay home. But McCain is not prepared to let them get away with it.  McCain's campaign launched a law suit yesterday in Virginia to demand that absentee military ballots be counted.  The election board had declared that because 10's of thousands of military ballots didn't reach the military personel within 45 days prior to the election that the ballots would not be counted.  These ballots of course would be favorable to McCain since most of the active military voters favor him for President. The point is that this shows that McCain is going to fight for this win.  If we get a close tally, like Florida was for Bush in 2000, McCain will fight for it.  This is good, because there is evidence of the possibility for rampant tampering with results by the left. Also the NAACP lost a law suit in Virginia trying to force changes to the voting regulations that would favor Obama constituents.  That's also a good sign. It's good because it was a fast decision and it was against changing polling station rules at the last minute. That means the Democrats may actaully have to win it legitmately, at least in Virginia.  There is a good chance that the opinion polls up to now showing Obama with a lead have been misleading. I am absolutely convinced, more now than ever before, that McCain can win this if all registered Republicans show up to vote. Republican vote monitors are being forced from polling stations by Democrats who have a majority status in certain districts. That's an indication that the Democrats are SCARED.  They are very very worried that they are going to lose this, so they have abandoned any subterfuge, and are openly intimidating voters.  Obama has done a good job of selling the idea that his voters will get free stuff, free gas, free medicine, free houses, great jobs, if they simply vote for him.  He's got a lot of weak minded people bamboozled which is why it's going to be up to the thinkers, the pragmatists to win this election, over the "feelers" and the emotional voters who don't care if Obama is lying to them.

WHY BOTHER VOTING?

No one can tell you what you think, no one can tell you how to vote, and in this country no one can tell you that your vote doesn't matter.  Right now, all the pundits have declared the election over. They have already decided, based on opinion polls, what states have been won by which candidate. This is nothing but a farce and an attempt to depress voter turnout.  Remember, an opinion poll is not fact. It is opinion based on a how a small sample of  people answers some crafted polling questions.  The only factual data regarding who wins what states in this election is the data from the real ballots marked by the electorate on election day. Until the ballots are counted and the electoral votes officially scored, no one can make any official claim that one state or another is not in contention. Opinion polls count for absolutely nothing at all in our election process. Rassmussen, Gallop, Wall Street Journal, et al.., are not mentioned in the constitution, and while they have a right to print opinion polls they have no right to have thier data be given any measure of trust and validity. Whatever value thier opinion polls are given is solely up to you. Personally I don't consider polls at all. I don't let movie critics decide what movies I'll watch, and I don't let food critics decide what restaurants I'll patronize.  I make my own choices. If you are someone who makes your own decisions in life, then ignore what the pundits want you to believe and go vote for whoever you feel is best. When the President takes the oath of office he swears an oath to defend and uphold the constitution.  As citizens we should do the same. It is our role to defend the vaules and principles that formed this nation as a land free from the tyranny of monarchy and gives every citizen a voice with the ability to choose our leaders.

A VICTORY FOR IGNORANCE - A DANGER FOR EVERYONE

There's nothing more dangerous to our political institutions than ignorant voters. Whether corralled and herded to the voting booth by voter cattle drives as means of mindlessly stuffing the ballot box, or well intentioned citizens who want to do thier civic duty and vote but don't pay attention until 24 hours before election day and only know the candidates by a few quick commercial sound bites. To potentially tip the balance of any election of the leadership of our country based on a mass of ignorant uninformed voters is a genuine shame, especially when it doesn't have to happen that way. Dissemination of facts to the public is what an election campaign should be all about. The rest of it is up to us, the average "informed" citizen standing on a soap box and spreading the news to as many friends and neighbors and associates as possible, and finally to the individual who intends to vote.., to take the steps necessary to learn all they can about the candidates. But we live in a time of instant gratification and an overflow of information coming at us from all angles Where we expect that anything we need to know can be learned in minutes. The age of information has made it imperative to take time. to step back, and try to discern truth, from innuendo, from outright lies.  But today anyone can be made to seem as if they are providing legitimate information because once trustworthy sources of news have become tainted outposts of biased opinion and very few of the politically ignorant people bother to check facts and look for corroboration. Also, with the advent of a massive influx of information, attention spans have dwindled.  There is so much distraction that staying focused is now a real effort. It's become easy to wander off into a maze of misinformation. If Barack Obama ends up winning this election, it will be a victory of ignorance, a triumph of distraction from fact, and evidence that we have a lot of work to do to make politics a more important matter for a large segment of our population.

POLLING DATA - DYING IS OUR ONLY CHOICE

Well, the trend with pundits and pollsters is now this. They say... "If Obama wins...., X.....,( X being whatever state they think will decide it all).... then it's all over. Go home, go to bed, give it up all of you Republicans". So, we are supposed to keep an eye on either Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Virginia..., or whatever..., you name it..., and if we see Obama winning that particular state then we shouldn't bother voting , it's just a waste of time to try, and we should go home and prepare for an Obama presidency. Rassmussen was trying this nonsense today on Fox News, "If Virginia breaks early for Obama.... it's all over"..., he says. Others say, "If Obama wins Pennsylvania it's over", "If Obama wins Florida it's over", and of course none of them think McCain has any chance anyways. So why bother having an election? According to pundits all we need to know is told to us in the current polls. Since the polls are treated the same as if the actual voting has already taken place, lets just average all the opinion polls right now, and give the presidency this afternoon to whoever is ahead, which of course will be Obama. Then we don't have to "waste" our time being involved in our country's future by exercising our constitutional right to vote, we can just let pollsters decide who will win based on the response to thier crafted opinion poll questions. And why stop at the Presidential election? Let's do this for all elections at the state level, as well as elected judges, sheriffs...., Polls for Everyone. We can change the name of our country to Poll-land! This will guarantee that the Democrats win every time in a national election since national polling data is always weighted in favor of Democrats. And since that will be the case, there's no point in any opposition party, so we may as well disband the Republican party, and we may as well stop criticizing anything Democrats do since that won't change the polling data.  Freedom of the press or free speech basically becomes a moot point. And since we would have no control over our destiny, why bother working? The government will be taking care of everything that the old-fashioned idea of independence and free market Capitalism once offered to citizens. So that's it. Then why bother living?  The government under Democrat domination will legalize assisted suicide and make Dr. Jack Kevorkian's death machines available to everyone, and we can just slip out of existence as our country melts down into a socialist cesspool of failing systems that were meant to feed, clothe, house and care for us all from the cradle to the grave. With no incentive to achieve more than mediocrity we will finally fall from being a superpower to being a third world nation that can't afford to sustain itself under an ever increasing tax burden. Isn't this great?  This is basically what we can look forward to ,if we simply put all our faith in pollsters. Personally, I don't care who says "it's over", it isn't over until the votes are counted. They can try to tell me I shouldn't bother voting, but they won't succeed in delivering that sucker punch to "me".  I intend to be the first one in line at my local polling station on election day. And if the pollsters and pundits don't appreciate it, they can know where they can stick thier polling data.

BILL CLINTON PROVED IT..., MORALITY MATTERS

I think character is an imperative part of leadership, and I think it speaks ill of the citizens in general when the press suggests that it doesn't matter to us who Obama allies himself with personally. I recall Bill Clinton's first run at the White House. All the "bimbo eruptions" as they were termed, and how many on the opposing side tried to point out that this is a character flaw that shows he will be an untrustworthy leader.  His supporters told us, "hey it's his personal life, and it's completely separate from professional life, so leave him alone".  Of course we know what happened in the oval office, that we all pay to maintain with our tax money. I think Bill clearly proved if you do it to your wife ( affairs, infidelity), you'll probably do it to the country as well. But that's just one example. How many times has an infidelity , or ( use of call girls as a certain governor is now famous for) ended a political career on the spot?  Quite a lot. While adultery is certainly very bad, associating with people who want to see our government and our allies destroyed, who hate the united states, is even worse.  It's wrong to take the question of morality out of leadership ability. It's key. And I think if a strong enough case can be made, then it definitely should be one of the determining factors in who you will give your vote of trust to. I wrote a little poem here about my views on Obama, and his policies.  I call it The Obama Blues...,

Obama and his friends
have a plan of attack,
My money's going down,
They say it's not coming back...,
Now I've learned it hard,
What they believe,
They're draining the blood
From those who achieve.

I worked and I scraped
To make a good living,
I do my share of
Helping and giving,
But it's never enough
For the left wing vote,
They want what I earn
To keep others afloat.

Joe found out
You can't say a thing
If freedom of speech
means dissing the king,
You'll be run on a rail
Straight out of town
If you don't bow your head
To the Democrat crown.

Pulling it back,
And washing it out,
Fighting for freedom
Is truly in doubt,
When the plan is to stop
As the war's being won,
And meeting our foe
Like a petulant son.

So for goodness sake DON'T VOTE OBAMA!

TURNING THE PAGE ON LIBERALISM - HATE ISN'T HATE WHEN A LIBERAL HATES YOU

They're getting bold. The liberals are slipping and letting thier real plans surface because they sense an Obama victory and they think that means socialism is the wave of the future. This may be even more dangerous than suspected. An Obama presidency will be used by liberals as an excuse to claim a national mandate to socialize healthcare, energy companies, home ownership, ban fatty foods, extend the waiting period for gun ownership to 90 days.., and it goes on and on. It seems like, once Obama slipped and let the cat out of the bag with Joe The Plumber, liberals got all excited about hoping on the bandwagon. This can't be a good trend. An Obama win could realistically signal the start of a disasterous social experiment via a liberal congress taking advantage of dislike for Bush as a mandate for the extreme opposite. I have an inherent trust in the goodness of... and generally the wisdom of... the vast majority of our country's population. Yet there is no doubt that an aging baby boom generation with significant segments raised without the sorts of ethics thier parents or grandparents had been raised with is so focused on "themselves" that they may not be looking very far down the road.  It will take those of us who are focused on the future to bring those of us who are focused only on the present to thier senses, and we may have to drag "them" metaphorically into the controlling seats of government. It boggles the mind in astounding ways to conceive of the notion that anyone familiar with Obama's fiscal record and stated goals would look to him as the answer for a struggling economy. Everyone has been told, by the Republicans and Conservatives, from every venue, of the dangers of an Obama presidency, but if we are to believe the opinion polls, a large enough segment simply don't care. They are trained to know only one thing, whatever party is in Power during a presidential election must be tossed out if the economy has problems. It's like an inbred DNA program. It doesn't matter that the "other" party might be worse, it's all about decades of political programming. So, what can "we" the people do..., in these remaining days to bring the light of knowledge shining down on the less intuitive members of the population. That "may" be an impossible task. To overcome decades of programming in a matter of days is a tall order. We bring out evidence of the truth for those whose senses have been dulled by decades of liberal exposure, but they've been trained by the media, colleges, whatever.. to be skeptical of anything that smacks of Conservative values. The problem is leadership. There are no universally respected national figures who are decrying an Obama presidency. The icons of our society are mostly trash. When you have Oprah and The View setting the tone for daytime talk, when you have sports figures and whole teams tied up in scandals, when you have the hollywood left producing trash that trashes the US, when you have a political party with a moderate tone that seeks compromise and bi-partisanship at the expense of foundational principle.., "where" is a powerful national figure who can grab the attention of the country who will set the record straight on Obama, national defense and socialism? Changing minds at the grass roots is a long process. The NEW media is pouring out the truth every day, we are all desperately trying to make it understood that we face a seminal moment in our history as to how we approach governance of the country. I'm not sure that there is much more we can do. It may be a generational change that is the only way to really fix this. Kids growing up and seeing the self destructive behavior of the irrational ideals of liberalism and of living only for the moment. AND ONE MORE THING... You know that outrageous Halloween display showing an effigy of Sarah Palin hanging by a noose? Where is the same outrage in the press who were all upset over the "false" accusations that McCain/Palin rallies where fomenting hate? Why aren't they harping on a real display of genuine hate with the same eagerness? And where is the rabid investigation into this guy's past who put up the display, any outstanding taxes, any personal problems, what he does for a living and where he works, his political affiliations.... just like those dirt sniffing pigs did to Joe the Plumber? Where is it? We know press outrage simply is not there when the Republican candidate is the target of hate because of the same old double standard the press has held for decades. When liberals engage in open displays of hate it's never called "hate" it's simply lauded and defended by the press as free speech.

THE LAST GASP OF THE NEW YORK TIMES

Newspapers, such as the New York Times, are agenda driven and they attempt to shape opinion with thier choice of stories, they do not let events determine what is news worthy. The constantly declining circulation proves that they are sinking to feeding an ever tightening niche audience of radicals who expect partisan attacks on any political issue rather than fair and balanced and truthful reporting. They print for thier spoon fed audiences and not for the wide open masses. The new media, the blogosphere, talk radio, XM, newsletters that cater to individual tastes, and networks like Fox News that are not driven by an inside agenda but rather by delivering a factual accounting of the  events of the day or the week..., have served to cut down once giant news media machines like the NY Times to the point where they only appeal to thier own rigidly ideological readership.  The Audit Bureau of Circulations reports that the daily version of the NY Times is at a current circulation of 1,077,256 which is down from the previous year, and they continue to sink.

Now, on to the latest attacks on Sarah Palin. At a recent fund raising event she said the following ;

"We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, pro-America areas of this great nation. This is where we find the kindness and the goodness and the courage of everyday Americans. Those who are running our factories and teaching our kids and growing our food and are fighting our wars for us. Those who are protecting us in uniform. Those who are protecting the virtues of freedom."

For this innocent statement she has been ridiculed, derided, and in general attacked as she always is by the politically motivated left wing press for every statement she makes on anything at all.  The mistake Sarah made here, and always makes,  is that she forgets she's not allowed to express her own opinion.  Her opinion of what makes America great must  match the views of the left wing press, or she's ridiculed as a rube from an outland of snowblind posers. Well, Sarah said it herself back at her convention speech, she's not going to DC to please the media.  And we love that attitude in her. We love it when the liberal press is flummoxed and angry and panicked and flabergasted at Sarah, because it exposes them for the hyper-partisan yellow dog Democrats they are, as they attempt to hide behind a window dressing of impartiality and fairness. Sarah is absolutely correct to point out that some areas of our country produce a higher ratio of openly displayed genuine patriotism than others. We all know, even the liberal press knows..., that there are rabid anti-American hate mongers foaming at the mouth in all sorts of places around our country.  Barack Obama could introduce you to several of the more prominent ones since he has allied himself with some of the most vicious examples. We have been long exposed to the inbred hatered of middle America by the liberals of this country who think that the average American is a racist, redneck ingnoramus... as that fumble-mouthed idiot congressman John Murtha recently expressed. The entire Democrat leadership on Captiol Hill could easily be declared a gaggle of facist anti-American anti-patriotic narcissists. They held our troops in Iraq hostage time after time by fighting against success, against funding, and deriding the effort at every turn.  It's about time we have some courageous political figure like Governor Palin to point out that this country does have a distinct lack of patriotism in some circles. We already know this is the truth, but it takes a real leader to state fearlessly that fact in an open forum in front of a hostile media. Sarah has what it takes to do that. Frankly we'd all be much better off with  a President Palin than a President Obama or a President Biden.

THE MEDIA WOOD CHIPPER IS CLOGGED WITH THE BONES OF OBAMA'S CRITICS

It's kind of funny, but mostly frightening.  Joe Wurzelbacher , often called "Joe the plumber"  because he works for a plumbing and heating company, has become a national icon for what's wrong with the Obama campaign. You have seen the attacks on Joe since he became the definition of the difference between McCain and Obama, the assaults on Joe's tax problems, accusations of not being a real plumber, how Obama says it's unrealistic to think of a plumber making over 250k. The attacks on Joe are the deliberate and savage work of the Obama camp and thier willing assassination teams in the liberal news media. Do you know..., that the media and the Obama camp have caused a situation which may shut down the company that Joe works for? In the course of digging like wild eyed ferral dogs on a search for a way to crucify Joe and turn him into an evil creature, the dirt sniffing hogs in the media discovered that the company  Joe works for didn't insist that Joe have a state accredited journeyman's or apprenticeship license.  Well, guess what?  "Somehow" ( ...we can guess how...) that news was carried to the Toledo Plumbing Board Of Control and now the board says they are considering sanctions against Newell Plumbing & Heating and Joe himself.  This is the Palin attack sydrome all over again.  Anyone who represents Real America in opposition to Obama must be destroyed by Obama and his cohorts in the media, in order to silence them.  The real story with Joe, is the resulting attempt to hide, bury, cloak, and deflect Obama's absolutely socialist slip of the tongue as Obama accidentally exposed more of his own true nature and agenda than he wanted to while responding to Joe's question about why he should be taxed more if he wants to run a plumbing business that could make over 250k a year. This is amazing.  We got a glance, for just a minute..., on live television... at the REAL OBAMA... and when they realized what happened, the liberal media and Obama's campaign crew let out a long loud scream of horror in thier dark cloistered back rooms realizing that WE might actually figure out what Obama really intends. The carefully crafted, molded and painted tin foil image of Obama as a reformer was shredded by Obama himself temporarily as he uttered the now famous phrase "we need to spread the wealth around" in regard to why he wants to raise taxes. So the media scramble to cart Joe the plumber off into the night and dispose of him in a bloody wood-chipper ensued at a fever pitch.  God help us all, if Obama becomes president.  We will no longer be free to oppose tin horn socialists like Obama without fear of having the collective body of the socialism adoring media coming after us with thier dogs and machine guns. If anything can be said to come close in current times on a national scale in our country to reminding us of Nazi Germany, it's the hate filled incarnation of the modern left wing press.

OBAMA ADMITS HIS FEAR OF FOX NEWS

Fox News was launched in 1996 as a competitor to CNN.  Today, according to the polling agency Rasmussen Reports, 87% of people who regularly view Fox News say they favor voting for McCain.  65% of CNN's viewers say they will vote Democrat. 63% of  MSNBC viewers are leaning toward Obama.  According Neilsen Ratings..., Fox News Channel averages about 2.2 million viewers quarterly, CNN averages about 1.3 million, MSNBC about 867 thousand.  According to Newsmax , in an interview that will run this weekend in the NY Times magazine, Obama rips Fox News as he says "“I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls,” , "Because the way I’m portrayed 24/7 is as a freak. I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?"

Well, now.  Isn't this interesting?  First, it's plainly obvious that Obama fears Fox News because it has the highest ratings and audience share of any cable news network and isn't biased in favor of him. Therefore, the truth might actually slip out about Obama on Fox News, and that just can't be tolerated by Obama. Obama must be able to manipulate the news media, and if he can't, then he attacks it.  But , beyond that, his comment shows that he has some startling biases of his own.  He believes you and I and everyone else who tunes into Fox News has a problem with people who drive Volvo's....?, that's an odd thing to pick on...., and we have a problem somehow with people who don't own a gun...?... a bizarre conclusion ...., and God forbid we encounter someone sipping a latte, that just drives us into the red zone..., which is an enitrely ignorant thought on his part.  And do you really care if Obama reads the NY Times?  I don't care what he reads.  And, is he "portrayed as a freak by Fox?" , absolutley not.   Now, yes, I do have a problem with people who are arrogant and liberal and politically correct.  Looking at his comment, I think this is how he seems himself.  No one knows better than Obama, what he is. His use of the word "freak" is probably the most telling.  This smacks of VERY high insecurity. To paint with a broad brush 2.2 million people as seeing him as a Freak simply because Fox News is not biased, shows that he is angry, bitter, and self conscious.
