TEMPER TANTRUMS AND REVENGE FOR CLINTON

The businesses that took TARP funds and now are desperate to repay it, should have done a better risk assessment on what it means to take that TARP money in the first place. But what is infuriating to me, is that we are talking about money coming out of our wallets, money that doesn't even exist yet that will put future generations into debt, money that some institutions want to give back ... GIVE BACK... OUR MONEY...  but Obama and our wonderful Treasury Secretary are "refusing" to allow these businesses to pay it back. Even the most vile of loan sharks would be happy to get paid back the money they lent out. You know what this is? This is reverse extortsion. Instead of demanding money from these banks to "protect" them , Obama is demanding that they take money ... to make them complicit in the socialist schemes of an out of control regime. It's like the cop who doesn't want to take a payoff like other cops he heard about who have taken it and are now the slaves of the crooks who gave them the payoff, but they tell him he has no choice, take it or we make life hell for you.
 
Now, switching to another topic in the news..., we all know that President Obama should never have released the memos detailing interrogation techniques. CIA Directors past and present have said this was a very bad idea, to release these details and even had advised against it before hand. But Obama has an agenda that supersedes the safety of our country. It doesn't matter to him what people far more experienced and knowledgeable than him on this matter have to say, it doesn't matter to him that he has put a knife in the backs of the front line CIA operatives who were risking thier own safety to do what was needed to protect this country. It doesn't matter to him that all the men and women who died fighting terrorists have been stepped on by his personal prejudices and that this released information will set back the war on terror by increasing the boldness of organiztions like Al-Queda and Hamas and others who look at the United States as evil. Obama's agenda invloves poking his finger in the eye of George Bush and the past administration as much as he can to indulge his liberal extremeist propaganda and keep the left wing radicals who support him happy. Personally I don't want to see methods that work being removed from the potential tools that our CIA can use to obtain intelligence that will secure our county's safety. But that is not the position of President Obama. Still, if he felt he had to remove a set of interrogation options from the CIA .., he did not have to make the details available to the world. Instead, Obama could have conducted a very quiet review of the interrogation processes in use now and if Obama felt that methods were still out of line with legal definitions, then he could have instituted further adjustments to bring interrogation methods into line, adjustments that could have been applied quietly..., QUIETLY..., without fanfare, and without our enemies having any knowledge of any change,and if he felt the need to announce anything about it, he could very simply have said something like "I have reviewed the methods being employed and am convinced they are legal". Then he could have said that he would release information about past interrogations after a thorough threat assessment and determination as to whether it would pose harm to the nation. Then he simply could have kept the details under wraps for the forseeable future and that would have been a perfectly acceptable thing a president to do as allegedly the top man defending our country from harm. But for Obama the release of data about interrogations seems more like a game , or even moreso like a goat. Obama has been using President Bush as a goat for everything he wants to do that is the least bit controversial. I think he willingly released the information about interrogations as a way of keeping the Bush bashing alive so that he can perpetually use Bush as a rag to blot out his own socialist plans for the country domestically and abroad. Our freedoms as citizens of the US have not been damaged by the legally questionable methods employed in interrogation of captured terror suspects and known terrorists. The harsh methods which are debated as torture were employed as a last resort, and only in limited cases where CIA operatives were reasonably certain that the subject had information that could save our fellow citizen's lives. If anything, I would argue that these interrogations helped to assure that our freedoms were secured via the protection and insurance of our domestic tranquility, as is stated in the preamble to the Constitution as one of the reasons for establishment of the document itself. It's kind of funny, now, we're getting down into the mire of things like how many times being waterboarded is enough. It's one thing to debate if a process like waterboarding is torture, it's another thing to try to almost nitpick the number of times it is to employed before it's successful. This is what the release of these memos has done. We are now reduced to being armchair interrogators. Most all of the former CIA members I've heard talking about this have said the hard interrogation tactics worked. That's really where the line is drawn on that level. The cutting into the knees of our CIA professionals possibly puts rendition practices as a means of obtaining intelligence back online as a serious alternative. I looked around for instances in the past of any other country's leader willingly doing something like Obama has just done, deliberately making thier country weaker and more vulnerable by willingly exposing information vital to the safety of thier homeland. I can't find anything like it. Ultimately Obama has reduced the effectiveness of CIA interrogations, reduced the fear of our enemies over what might happen to them if they are caught, he has embarrassed our nation yet again with this sort of tabloid expose whch falls in line so nicely with his great apology tour of Europe and South America. Obama is wearing thin and has become one of the most divisive Presidents in US history. Now with President Obama's instigation of this episode we have the spectre being raised by the Obama Justice Department, and now Obama himself not ruling it out, of the possibilty of a war-crimes style investigation of everyone or anyone involved from the Bush administraton in making decisions to use harsh interrogation on captive terror combatants such as sleep deprivation, waterboarding, stress positions, and so on. This is nonsense. Ever since the impeachment trial of President Clinton, the left wing activists and hate mongers have been itching to get some sort of revenge on Republicans for that. If this goes forward, if a show trial investigation of President Bush and his staff or administration is actually instigated, this will be nothing more than a childish temper tantrum from the left out of pure hateful vengeance and nothing to do with any love of the Constitution and freedom. It will spell doom for the Democrats in the next election cycle, as if they haven't already made clowns of themselves in the past 90 days.

SO IT'S TORTURE.... IT'S TIME TO GET REAL

President Obama, a man who loves to make his own country look as bad as he can, has approved of the release of documents detailing interrogation methods used on terror suspects. There are many good, decent, honest citizens living in our country with great respect for our land and the law.  Personally, I do respect the law, and strive never to break it, the worst I've ever broken the law is when I got a ticket for going through a red light, and I will admit to speeding anywhere from 5 to 10 miles an hour above posted limits.  While I always do my best to abide by the law..., if it comes down to having to make a choice ..., I would say that I love and respect the freedom and life of my fellow countrymen more than I love and respect the exact letter of the law of the land, and so my view is in that regard when it comes to interrogation of captured terrorists or suspects. For the sake of moving past the surface debate, I will concede the point of view of those who wish to call interrogation methods like waterboarding torture.  For me, it's irrelevent in that matter. For me, if it comes down to being the only remaining option then I don't care if our CIA or military have to skin the captured "combatants"  alive to get them to cough up information. And if they don't... and they die while being "tortured" ... then that's one less vile beast out roaming the wilderness who will try sinking its fangs into my neighbors and family or blow up one or more of our courageous soldiers on the battlefield. Should the law be changed to allow torture of captured terrorists if other methods of interrogation fail?  Absolutley. The sooner the better. Should torture be an option now to potentially be used on captured terrorists and terror suspects, while the law technically forbids it?  Absolutely, if that's what it takes. But those who do so while it is illegal, should be prepared to take the potential risk of being tried and imprisoned for breaking the law.  And I am certain the list of volunteers willing to take that chance would be long enough to encircle the globe. For his part, Obama at least did the right thing in saying there would be no prosecution of those who already engaged "torture" interrogations. Obama calls it a "dark and painful chapter in our history" while ignoring how it saved lives and that is was never the first option.   I have seen enough unclassified material on the results of intelligence gained through "torture" to feel confident it has worked enough times successfully, not in every case, but then we have experts in the field of interrogation who should be able to determine the candidate on whom it would work best and , of course,  it should only be used as a last resort.  When all other methods of gaining intelligence have failed, and only when there is substantive reason to believe the individual facing it has covert knowledge that can save our lives. And just to be very clear, this is in regard to captured "combatants" at Guantanamo prison who, in my humble opinion, do not, and should not,  fall under the protection of the US Constitution or the Geneva Convention.

DHS SNIPERS HAVE THEIR RIFLES AIMED AT YOU

Many people lately have been discussing the DHS ( Department Of Homeland Security ) report on the alleged threat from people who are basically Conservative issue folks. The report is called "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment".

 I read this report recently and the report singles out three big issues that are alleged to be indications of potential threats to the country because they may spur people who are concerned about these issues to violence.

The issues are;

Increased Gun Control, lack of action on the problem of increasing illegal aliens, and expansion of government control. And yes... Right To life as well.

These are looked at as extremist issues in this report. Now here's the really withering part..., and the most significant part ... you need to pay attention to this... a footnote in tiny print at the very bottom of page two of the report says the following in defining who the dangerous right-wing extremists are...,  this is an exact quote from the DHS report...,

 "* (U) Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and
adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups),
and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or
rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a
single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."
 
When I read this I felt a wave of absolute disgust and a chilling concern come over me with regard to the attitude and objectives of people in the Obama administration. This definition of who poses the dangers expounded upon this the report is broad in scope and potentially inciteful in context. This is what has most people outraged. And rightfully so.
 
The news media, excepting FOX news, yesterday tried to basically lump the Tea Party protests in with the violent extremists that report from the DHS was meant to warn law enforcement about. But all that the liberal press needs to do is look at many of the liberal protests that take place in our country and make a fair comparison. They would see that by comparison, the Conservative issue concerns being expressed at the Tea Parties were handled much differently.

  Look at some of the truly nasty left wing protest groups who interrupt military funerals, throw condoms at priests, rant and rave and scream with hateful rhetoric... and compare that to the Tea Party protest groups yesterday who were wildly enthusiastic while also presenting an image of respect and maturity in a reasonably controlled atmosphere for thier cause without the vicious name calling and hanging effigies that you would see in more liberal types of protests... which type of rally presents a more dangerous uncontrolled atmosphere? The most negative and vicious attacks coming out of the tea parties was from the left wing media who were there to try to throw a monkey wrench into the works and spin the protests as crazy kook fringe nuts who had no case.

TOILET PAPER TYRANNY

I've never heard Obama sound so negative on the future and economy and then spin his own agenda as being so positive, such a dichotomy of contradictive statements, as he did in his most recent speech.  Is this the hope and change he campaigned on?
 
Regarding the real effect of government intervention, this is why we are seeing grass roots tea parties all around the country today.  I'm heartened by the idea of these rallies, but at the same time I'm concerned that they may not get the attention they deserve. The only real effect these tea parties will have is if they can inspire and rally more and more citizens to the cause of pushing back the grip that the Obama administration has put on our private enterprise and economic freedom.  In no way will these wonderful , inspired rallies turn Obama, Frank, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd et-al into a fiscally conservative bunch. The exercise of freedom of the press and to demonstrate and protest and to exercise freedom of association and also to celebrate the real meaning of freedom are meant to give those who feel helpless against what's happening in our federal government a voice with which to be heard, and a call to arms of a sort. The liberal press will not stop being liberal, and the spinning at CNN , NBC, and all the left lurching media will be in full bloom in the face of these gatherings, but this is a foundational war. It's a war to save our way of life from being destroyed by a terrible mistake made by..., us...., by our nation... in electing a terrible representative of the people. President Obama does not reflect our country's ideals, foundational principles or love of freedom. With his fascist agenda of government intervention in every aspect of our lives, and his hatered of free enterprise and his loathing of those who have succeeded and reaped the rewards of wealth that freedom can bring, and his congress of yes-men who genuflect to his altar of tyranny, he is bent on using the Constitution of our country as his personal roll of toilet paper while wagging his finger in disgust at those of us who he thinks are too ignorant to understand his great schemes of reshaping the country in his image. Our founding documents are not waste material to be thrown into a recycling bin and remade into something else. If the President does not respect every page and word of the Constitution he has sworn to defend, then his word and his promise means nothing at all.

HOPE IS NOT A FOREIGN POLICY

You can't base US policy on "hope". We can sit around forever "hoping" that Palestinians will stop attacking Israel as we advocate peace, and we can open up trading with Cuba "hoping" that it will change things for Cuban people, neither of which will happen because of us "hoping" for it.  HOPE is not a foriegn policy, it's a slick campaign advertisement for Obama's Presidential aspirations. When you have real, visible, changes in place proving that Cuba is moving toward freedom and free markets, you can ease restrictions. Otherwise you end up enriching an oppressive regime as we have done with China and Saudi Arabia. What good is it to open trade markets to Cuba when the Cuban government simply confiscates property and money as it sees fit on the hard working backs of its long suffering population. Cuban nationals who have been imprisoned by Castro for daring to speak out against his tyranny will not be saved by the lifting of trade or travel restrictions. Rewarding the tyranny of the Cuban government by making thier regime more powerful as a trade partner with the United States is only going to embolden the tyrant.  As for amnesty for illegal aliens in the United States, the problem is that it's not a fair application of our domestic laws. For the law to be superseded by the whims of a political party for political goals allowing a certain subset of residents who have arrived in this country under cover with no intent of becoming legal legitimate normalized citizens, To suddenly be rewarded by not having to obey the same process that others seeking legal citizenship through proper channels have to follow is an outrage to all legal United States citizens and a rebuke of the rule of law. That is why the outrage in the public built up last time, and why it still exists.

LAY DOWN AND DIE - IS NOT THE AMERICAN WAY

The crew and Captain of the Maersk Alabama get's an A++ for actions above and beyond the call of duty and not giving up thier ship to the Somali pirates.  The Navy gets an A+ for it's professionalism, focus on objective and completion of the objective. President Obama gets an A for not messing it all up. The Maersk shipping company gets a C for being unwilling to allow arms on board for the crew even though they were aware of the likelihood that their merchant vessel would be attacked.
 
Quote..."Merchant crews aren't supposed to fight pirates, short of using high-pressure hoses to try to stop them from climbing aboard, said John F. Reinhart, president and CEO of Maersk Line Ltd.
 
Well, Mr Reinhart, do you perhaps suppose that this is why the pirates are so bold about attacking Merchant vessels? Hmmm? Do you suppose they've figured out that Merchant crews are not armed and are told not to fight the pirates if they board the vessel?  Hmmmmm?  Do you think the pirates would be so bold if the crews were prepared to repel any Somali pirate attacks with armed force?
 
We've got to get out of the mentality that laying down and submitting to the demands of terrorists and thugs is the best way to handle them. A mindset of submissiveness is exactly what these pirates and terrorists want.  People shouldn't do anything stupid, but if the opportunity presents itself to fight back people have the natural right to defend themselves and fight for their lives and property. One way of making that opportunity to fight back a reality is to prepare for a known probability of a deadly encounter by arming and training the good guys to do exactly that. I will close this for now with a quote from General George Washington as he addressed the Continental Army before leading them into the first major battle of the Revolutionary War...,

THE ARROGANCE OF CHARITY

Recently, on his little world tour including the G20 economic summit in London, President Barack Obama said to the gathered European socialists that his country, we..., the United States Of America.., have been arrogant.  That we need to practice humility.

United States citizens gave approximately 306 billion dollars to charity in 2007, more than at any time in our country's history according to the center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
 
Is that arrogance, Mr. President...?

According to the government agency USAID which works through the State Department to aid countries who have suffered disasters or extreme poverty, The Us provided $1,620,422,634 in food and related assistance worldwide in 2007, $1,475,127,549 in 2008.
 
Arrogance, Mr. President...?  We need to practice humility, Mr. President?
 
Countless thousands of United States soldiers, our sons and daughters, husbands and wives, spilt blood and died defending freedom in foreign countries in defense of our values of freedom at home.
 
Yet, you say We are arrogant, Mr. President...?

 
It was your goal to raise taxes on Charitable donations Mr. President, it is your budget that weakens the finances of the armed forces. You sought to interfere with the proven charity and good will of the United States citizenry, and reduce the value of our military strength, while deeming it necessary to inhibit the freedom of our country's market place as a self anointed dictator of the financial decisions in all forms of business.
 
Who is the arrogant one... Mr. President?
 
You, Mr. President, are supposed to be our country's greatest representative when traveling abroad. You should seek to always place the United States in the best light, to promote the greatness and charity and strength of our nation.  When you stand on forign soil and denigrate this land and it's past Presidents you join the racous rabble of beligerant anti-American protestors who despise the United States for its greatness and success. Stop your whining about past administrations and stop dissing your home. It's time to show humility and respect for the office, and for the country that made it possible for you to be in that position.

DUST IN THE WIND....,

  The role of the Securities And Exchange Commission is fair and reasonable as far as it goes, but for our government to extend its hand any further is highly dangerous to the stability and security of our nation. The problem with it stems from over reliance on government to take care of the problems that are in fact the problems of private investors and company directors. The government has already spent all of our money. It's gone. It is now paying for its budget on borrowed money and it makes no sense to put such a fiscally irresponsible institution as the federal government in charge of deciding the course of action of any part of our private financial industry . Government will make decisions about business dealings and operations based on a political model, when it should be a business model. We've been led off on the wrong foot to begin with. We have to change the way we have been conditioned to think. In a capitalist society, which is a society grounded in freedom for the individual, there is no such thing as a business that is too big to fail. That is simply a basic economic fact of capital driven markets. But societaly, we have been conditioned by liberal progressives as economic pundits and news media "experts" to believe that we are doomed if a company like AIG fails. Any time that we look to government to take care of problems that arise from personally irresponsible behavior, whether that behavior is from the top executives at a company who have made bad business decisions, or individuals who have bitten off more than they can chew with personal financial decisions, we abdicate responsibility for ourselves. When we don't look within to find the problems and fix it, but look to an overbearing external power to sweep in and take control forcing changes that we have not vetted, making decisions about how much prosperity we are allowed, and revoking our right to serve our own best interests, we have given up our right to self determination. We have thrown away the freedom that was God given, in favor of having our destinies controlled by strings from a faceless body of government. In most states, the age of eighteen is the age at which a child is no longer legally considered a minor. Our governments have basically said.., "you have been alive for eighteen years, it's time you take responsibility for your behavior and not make it your parent's duty.". But, here we are with the likes of President Obama and Barney Frank declaring that we are not responsible for the problems we encounter when we buy a home we can't afford, when businesses we invest in fail to profit, or just plain fail, when major industries loose market share and thousands get laid off, when some people become fiscally wealthy and others don't, none of that is the fault of the people who are at the downside of those issues and the resulting consequences, we are merely victims of a faceless evil demon with great red horns whose name is Greed. The fraternity of socialists in our federal government are slapping the money out of your hands that you earned and taking it away from you, telling you that you don't know what's good for you so "we who sit in government" will give you what you need and you will become our mindless foster child for the rest of your life. At that point, life , liberty, and the pursuit of happiness becomes dust in the wind. You have to look in the mirror and decide whether you are the master of your own fate, or whether your master sits on a committee in congress, or even a chair in the White House.

OBAMA DOES LEWINSKY...

 The Obama fascism happening here does not seem to be waking up enough of our fellow citizens as yet. This is like some dark social revolution fantasy that the liberals in Hollywood would come up with for a movie. We are missing men Rush. By that I mean we are missing REAL MEN! The blood and guts self built men who champion freedom, because freedom is what led them to succeed... a man who will put his foot down and say SCREW YOU GEITHNER , OBAMA, FRANK, PELOSI AND REID..., TAKE YOUR OFFER OF TAX MONEY AND STICK IT WHERE THE SUN DOSEN'T SHINE. Where are the heroes out there in these struggling companies who will tell Obama to stuff it? It's disappointment after disappointment to see nothing.. zip , zero, goose-egg from the leaders of industry and business in the way of real courage and determination to be independent and to live or die by thier own hand and the right to make thier own destinies. We ( the collective masses) are more powerful as citizens united, than Obama and his right and left testicles known as the House and Senate are. The whole power grab is Obama's wet dream and he's ejaculating all over the country, spraying his socialist seed in as many places as he can to try to change the face of our country into his own image. Obama is doing to America what Bill Clinton did to Monica Lewinsky in the oval office.

HANGING THOMAS JEFFERSON...,

The crux of the debate regarding GM and Chrysler and AIG and all the others is not the minutia of should the CEO be fired or not, the debate is on the principles of government's role versus the role of private business.  If we don't look at that, then we lose to the central planners, to the big government socialists who want our attention diverted precisely to the smaller argument of who should be running GM at the top, and the bonuses at AIG, and not the debacle of government taking over operations of privately owned business. I know it's difficult , with all the excitement and controversy, to step back and keep the big picture in focus, but if we lose that big picture we lose everything. This not a random romp by government egos who are trying to help one or two businesses stay afloat, this is nothing short of a complete flip of the government's role in limited interference. You have to understand that our freedom as citizens depends entirely on a very limited role of a central government. Up until the Obama Presidency, we have had some measure of restraint on this front. There has been a weak, but maintained modicum , a spark of respect for the principles of self determination and freedom to succeed or fail, allowing capitalism to absorb the failures and make successes from them.   But mass ignorance, driven by populist emotions have carried a radical socialist to the highest chair in government, and given him a fully functional right and left arm in the Senate and the House or Representatives that are working in conjunction with him put a hangman's noose around the necks of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Ben Franklin and all the founders of our nation whose brilliance long ago gave us a foundation of freedom to grow a nation upon. We are fast forgetting what freedom is and what it means to lose it.   It was those great figures from our past who declared their freedom from a self ordained Monarch, a singular power-grabbing authority who in some ways is very like Barack Obama today. The founders of our nation were willing to fight to have their freedom from an oppressive King and to be able to choose their own destinies, to rise or fall by the merit of their individual efforts rather than to have their futures and lives determined by an overlord. The fight is not about whether AIG should give out bonuses, or GM should lose it's CEO, it's about whether we rule ourselves, or the government rules us.  It's about whether we declare for freedom, or lay down and let the central government crush us under it's boot heel. We need to remember how to be free, and not willingly tie puppet strings to our own arms and legs and let our government play us like fools in a side show in the name of saving us from ourselves.

NO MORE BABY TALK...,

On the radio today I heard a soundbite of a voice saying we need to work with the President, and when we have disagreements engage in calm debate ( paraphrasing ) as to our opposition. That was John McCain.  If you heard him, then you heard that gentle, calm , laid back voice of his, talking about how we need to be civil and calm and realize Obama has a very difficult job. Very soothing isn't it?  I love the heroism and admire the sacrifice John McCain made for our country during his time in the military. But he sucks wind as a politician. Period.  He's a compromiser, and we don't need that now. This is not the time for compromise when the American way of life is being roped and gagged and lined up for execution by the firing squad of Obama, Pelosi, Reid , Frank, Dodd and thier ilk. This is the time for anyone who is a real patriot to stand up and start shouting and pounding on the podium to wake up the idiots who voted for Obama. This is when we need an opposition of Parliamentarian Daniel Hannan's quality on a daily basis ripping apart the economic and social train wreck that is the Obama administration. But, let me be clear..., I don't blame Obama for his push to socialism, fascism, and central planning.  I don't blame Pelosi or Reid or Frank for helping it get to his desk so he can make it law.  They are doing exactly what they believe in. They are extremist radical progressives with a full blooded socialist agenda to take over control of every single aspect of our  society from how much money we should be earning, to what sort of medical care each individual should be allotted, to what sort of cars we should be permitted to drive, to what sort of education we should have, to who should be running businesses and which ones deserve to stand and which deserve to die, and to take as much money as they can from our paychecks and investments in order to make thier dreams of tyranny and total dominance come true.  No, I don't blame them at all..., because..., they are simply being the animals that they are.  Just like I don't blame a rhinoceros for charging blindly at anyone who comes near it, or wasps for stinging anyone who gets too close to thier nest, I don't blame radicals for being radical.  I blame my fellow citizens for the ignorance, stupidity, and downright malleability of thier weak minds that made them ignore all the warning signs, all the attempts to educate them as to the extreme radicals we have in our government and what would happen if we put a monster radical like the smooth-talking Obama into the White House. We are getting the hammer put to our heads because of ignorance in our population.  Because of the lame , weak miserable effort by our fellow citizens to understand that looking into the background is key, vital , absolutely imperative to understanding the goals and character of the candidate.  But no, we had well-intentioned but misdirected people shouting thier heads off that we were all misanthropic savages for daring to question Obama's relationship with Wright, Ayers, etc...,  and the uninformed dupes of the masses went along with that because it was populist nonsense to believe that we can't be too critical of anyone of a minority race running for President and that we simply can't hope to understand the culture of his background.  Well, now, in order to remedy this radical agenda that is driving to chop the head off of our constitution and tear the guts out of our nation we need to re-invigorate our fellow citizens with the desire for self determination and turn them away from looking at government as a mother who is there to make everything right, but the time for trying to do that with genteel psychobable talk is over. There's no more time to give a disillusioned Obama voter a cookie and put comforting arm around him and say "I know it looks bad, but times will be better one day.".   We need to make sure our neighbors know they were looked at by Democrats as if they were dunces and that Democrats and News media made fools of them by conditioning them to think like liberals and ignore the danger of who Obama really is, and that they... our fellow citizens..., are fully responsible for the socialist monsters that now inhabit our congress and white house. If you want to know what to do when your local state representative or your state senator is up for re-election, demand that they pledge in writing to cut all federal taxes and spending by 20%, revoke they powers granted to the Treasury Secretary by the Tarp law, and shut down permanently FreddieMac and FannieMae lending institutions, pass a bill for tort reform particularly that will reasonably limit some damage awards in medical malpractice lawsuits so as to help normalize medical costs for doctors and institutions,  and that they will voluntarily limit themselves to two terms and will not run again for political office ever again after that.  We need term limits on all politicians so that there is a cycle of fresh thinking moving into government on a regular basis. Short of having the term limits become law, which will be very difficult, we need to get that pledge from the candidates.  There needs to be a new mindset in DC, and a new level of the greater population taking a very hard and close look at all candidates no matter who they are.

TRAGIC - MORE PRIDE IN PARLIAMENT THAN IN CONGRESS?

Two days ago European Parliament member Daniel Hannan openly and eloquently and forcefully berated British Prime Minister Grodon Brown. Here are some quotes from his 3 minute speech while they were at a meeting 2 days ago during a session of Parliament in Strasbourg France....,
 
"The truth, Prime Minister, is that you have run out of our money.  The country as a whole is now in negative equity.  Every British child is born owing around 20,000 pounds.  Servicing the interest on that debt is going to cost more than educating the child.  Now, it's not that you're not apologizing.  Like everyone else I've long accepted that you're pathologically incapable of accepting responsibility for these things.  It's that you're carrying on willfully, worsening our situation, wantonly spending what little we have left.  Last year, in the last 12 months, a hundred thousand private sector jobs have been lost, and yet you've created 30,000 public sector jobs.  Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecedented engorgement of the unproductive bit." "You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.  And when you repeat in that wooden and perfunctory way that our situation is better than others, that we're well placed to weather the storm, I have to tell you, you sound like a Brezhnev era apparatchik giving the party line.  You know and we know, and you know that we know that it's nonsense!  Everyone knows that Britain is worse off than any other country as we go into these hard times.  The IMF has said so.  The European Commission has said so.  The markets have said so, which is why our currency has devalued by 30%, and soon the voters, too, will get their chance to say so.  They can see what the markets have already seen, that you are the devalued prime minister of a devalued government."
 
Now, I hate to say this, and I should be ashamed to admit this as a proud United States citizen, but I am more proud of that member of the European Parliament who stood up in front of the whole world and berated the British Prime Minister eloquently, forcefully and with clear rational language defending freedom and free market enterprise BETTER... that's right... BETTER and with more COURAGE than almost anyone in our congress or in our national press media has had the will power to do to President Obama and his cohorts, those who need that same exact berating before a national audience.., so that we can all see what Obama's response would be.  Would he just laugh it off like Gordon Brown did to Daniel Hannan?  Like Obama did in Leno? Or would he reply with his own eloquent defense of his budget, Ominbus, TARP, etc...?  I don't think Obama can logically or rationally defend all the spending he has signed into law and permitted to be spent. If that same memeber of the European Parliament who heroically stood up and defended AMERICAN market values and freedom... ( yes... he defended OUR homegrown market oriented values even though he was making the case for his own country I felt as if he were speaking for us as well..,)  if he stood up at an Obama press conference and said exactly the same thing to Obama..., I can tell you right now there would be cheers and applause thundering through this nation for that brave guy.  Isn't it rather sad that the type of hero we need in our government seems only to be found in a foreign governemnt... a governemnt ( by the way..) that Obama doesn't think the US has any special relationship with?  I'll tell you what, remember during the campaign McCain saying that there is no time for on the job training when it comes to being President? Look at the strain the Obama administration has managed to put on relationships with our own allies since he took office. I suppose it counts as "change" , ( though not for the better...), so where is the "hope' he promised? He seems to have thrown all hope out the window with massive rising debts that will be saddled with our children for generations. I would rather have that European Parliamentarian Daniel Hannan as our President than Barack Obama. At least Hannan understands economics and how not to add burden to a troubled economy. Now I want to also acknowledge a brave soul in our own government, Representative Michelle Bachmann of the House Financial Services Committee, who pressed Geithner to show her where in the United States Constitution the Treasury has the authority to take control of failing banks and seize private businesses that it feels are on the verge of failure, as he wants the power to do.  Geithner's answer was that it's constitutional because congress voted for it and the President signed it, which of course does not necessarily make a law nor the power granted by that law constitutional, it only points out that the "processes" of congress and the President are constitutional, not the resulting law.Geithner and Obama and Pelosi and Frank are pushing for the biggest takeover and intrusion by them into our country's privacy rights and private businesses in our nation's history.  This administration is pushing us down the drain into a black hole that will bankrupt us in less than a decade.

RE-DECLARING OUR INDEPENDENCE

 
The Declaration of Independence: ( WITH NOTES ADDED BY ME... in parenthesis)

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal... ( this includes the executives at AIG, the management and employees of Wal Mart, speculators in the stock market, and people at all income levels from the wealthiest to those with no income)...that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life ( abortion is not a "right") , Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness ( the amount of money at your disposal increases the ease at which you can pursue liberty and happiness, thus the more you are taxed the more the government chokes your options for such pursuits) .--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed ...( our government is not there to rule us, we own it, it functions at our discretion and we will reign it in when it goes too far)..., --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends,...( ...when our government tries to determine the fate, future and obligations of the people and forgets that it's role is to serve rather than to limit freedom...) it is the Right of the People to alter ...( elect new leaders)... or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes ( .. the Constitution must not be ignored as a matter of convenience )...; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government( ... or perhaps restore to primary importance the founding principles and guiding documents of a great Republic to govern as was the original intent by replacing corrupt leaders with those who respect the Constitution)... The history of the present King of Great Britain ...( or perhaps... the present political leaders in DC )..is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.

 This first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence lays out the basic reasons for pursuing redress of grievances against a government that has gone out of control.  My notes inserted into it were meant simply to point out the modern equivalence of some of those grievances. It seems that  far too many of our elected leaders have forgotten or forsaken the principles and ideas of our nation's founding. We have a governing body now that seems to have lost its way from the principles primarily embodied in the right to liberty. Freedom. From freedom all the rest of it becomes possible.

IT'S AS BAD AS WE IMAGINED...

  As you recall, in recent months every time a spending program or bill was announced , the market dropped.  Every time Obama or anyone in the senate or Treasury announced plans to prop up industries with TARP, the market went south.  We need to very carefully examine what might be causing a fluctuation or rally, and realize also that consumer confidence is fickle to the point where the wrong words coming out of Obama's or Pelosi's or Reid's or Frank's mouths could send investors pulling back.  Also, companies have plans to deal with drops in market value and plans for boosting sales. Let's not rule out the private sector's ability to take the initiative to turn numbers around.  Recessions historically have rebounds and it would be unfortunate to assume that the governments attempts at socialistic take over of banks and over the top spending on things like universal health care and cap and trade and a litany of other things is what makes an economy sound and raises confidence.  It's rather the opposite.  It remains to be seen what becomes of any rally in the markets and what exactly is moving the consumer indexes. Government intervention tends to make investors frightened, and past moves by the administration and congress proves that wall street does not respond well to them. How, for example, does an investor know if or when AIG ( now AIU? ) is in the black because of sound business decisions or simply because of TARP funds covering thier debts? We may never, EVER, again have any reason to be confident in AIG.  Look at what has happened to the poor shmucks working there. They have been savaged by personal attacks from the President on down to Barney Frank and have had death threats launched at employees. They have had a horrific media blitz that increased in savagery since they were propped up by TARP. The reputation of AIG has been burned at the stake like they used to burn witches in old England, by the very people who said it was too big to fail. This is very sick stuff. Do you think.. right now... that the people who owned and operated AIG are now wishing they had gone through chapter 11?  I think they definitely would have been far, far better off and I think they all know it.  I think there's a real question mark on the Obama administration now as to whether Obama et-al actually knows what they are doing or even cares what happens in the markets. Yes, we have to wonder. Does the behavior and approach of this administration really show that they have any concern about the market? Looked at realistically, the answer is no. The goal of the administration seems to be obtaining and holding the power to micromanage the country's economy regardless of who it crushes in the process so that IT can decide what is fair and who the winners and losers in our society should be.  It is a totalitarian approach to central planning that has got to be making quite a few Obama voters scratch thier heads as they ask themselves, is this really what we voted for?

BARNEY FRANK IS HOMO-PATHETIC

Representative Barney Frank, you recently called Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia a "Homophobe" for having an opinion that individual state legislatures should decide for themselves on matters of law regarding sexual behavior rather than making it a judge's job to do so.  You, Mr. Frank, are Homopathetic. That's someone who uses the word Homophobe or Homophobic like a handful of mud to throw in other people's eyes. A person who has no respect at all for Homosexuals. That's right, you drag out the word homophobe like a dragon blowing plumes of fire showing your abject disrespect for homosexuals even though you are one. Your words and actions prove that your mind is weak and suspect as to its stability. You use the political cutting edge of a Homosexual agenda like a murderer uses a knife in a mad rage to stab his victims over and over hoping to kill them off, you are a sick sick man Mr. Frank. You prove repeatedly that you have no mind with which to debate those whom you have a philosophical and political difference of opinion toward. You are an embarrassment to the people of Massachusetts, to the country of the United States, and to the world as an a example of an out of control political disease that keeps finding a way to crawl back to fester in our halls of congress. You do not deserve to represent anyone and I truly hope my fellow citizens will come to thier senses and refuse to re-elect you the next time your name appears on our state ballot.
