JUST GO AWAY....

If you are angry about the bonuses paid to AIG executives, then go away and read something else. What follows here is not for you. If you pump your fist and say "yeah!" when you hear Barney Frank, or Nancy Pelosi or Harry Ried or Barack Obama rant like whining little brats about how unfair and greedy private business is, then please just ignore this and go back to drinking your unemployment checks or smoking your welfare payments. You are beyond help. Let's pause for a moment and try to understand why anyone cares about the word "bonus" and how it relates particularly to AIG.  "Bonus" is a great word for demagogues to beat on with thier ugly sticks. When you hear the word "Bonus" it has the implication of something "extra" given to someone for performance above and beyond the call of duty. But, in the world of business, which a lot of people are not savvy to... it can mean a lot of different things. Instead of the word bonus, let's substitute the words tax payment. With AIG, it is basically the same thing. Salaries there are being met with the help of your tax money. A lot of people don't like that to begin with. I'm one of those people. But  in a practical sense what exactly is our tax money enabling AIG to do?  Our tax money is, among other things, enabling AIG to secure the insurance policies of businesses all around the country and the world, so that they can cover thier potential liabilities and function and provide services to you and me. To some degree a rather useful purpose. But, I wasn't asked if I thought AIG's crumbling finances should be propped up with the money that comes out of my paycheck. No one was asked that. So let's turn the video camera away from the smooth glass and steel tower of AIG that so often has been featured in the news media for a moment, and pan across the United States congress. Let's pan way, way back to a point where the entire floor of the House of Representatives is in view. Now let's do a split screen.  Another camera in the Senate is now panned way back to show you the entire Senate floor on the right side of your screen. And let's have a rolling tag line under the image keeps us updated on what the President is doing. There, in those two bodies of legislature and in the executive office, are the biggest, boldest, most outrageous peddlers of deciet and treachery this country has ever faced. And they have all gotten bonuses, every last one of them, from your tax money. But they don't want you to know that.  They would rather have you angry at AIG executives, because it takes your attention away from the hideous, overstuffed bonuses all those Representatives and Senators in congress have stolen from you. Earlier while talking about AIG I said, lets substitute the words "tax payment" for the word bonus.  Now, lets substitute the word "Earmark" for the word bonus. Same thing, but far, far more insidious. The executives at AIG who recieved salaried bonuses covered by tax payments had a contractual agreement to recive that specific amount of money as compensation for doing specific work.  But your state Senator, your state Representative... makes no such deal with you.  They take thier bonus money from your paycheck without restraint, without asking your permission, without the requirement of performing specific tasks in return for it, without having to explain it to you, without having to ever acknowledge that they took it. In fact sometimes we don't find out till much, much later exactly how much bonus money they took for themselves in form of earmarks, and exactly what they spent it on, because they try to hide it, bury it deep..., deep inside of innocent looking bills, like pirates burying thier stolen treasure in a deep hole on some deserted island hoping to keep it from  prying eyes. But what happened recently?  You started noticing.  You started catching these pirates stealing your money and burying it away for themselves. And that made you mad. Pirates don't like angry mobs. Angry mobs scare them because an angry mob might decide that they don't want these pirates around any more and might kick them off thier ship. So what did these pirates who stole bonuses for themselves in the form of secret earmarks do?  They formulated a plan to divert attention from thier thieving ways. They gave away your money to a legitimate business that was failing , to make themselves seem like good guys, like the mafia boss who gives a little of his ill gotten blood money back to the poor people in his neighborhood to make himself seem like a hero. And these pirates made you hate the legitimate business for using the money they gave them to save them. They played you. Obama's trying to pull off a mock triangulation routine but it's not going to work. He can't put himself above a fray that he created. He was out there the other day berating congress and saying he's just trying to fix problems he inhereted. Obama has two stage props that he uses wherever he goes. The Teleprompter and the Bush Administration. That way nothing is his fault, and he doesn't have to remember anything he wants to say. You notice how perturbed Obama gets when a press corp memeber tries to ask him a tough question? Obama is like an infant. He's a little toddler that all the adults think is cute and adorable and who fusses and wets his diaper anytime he's given the least little pressure from anyone in media. His teleprompter is his security blanket, our taxes are his pacifier, Pelosi is his mommy, Reid is his daddy, and Barney Frank is is strange cousin from Boston. I have not seen any signs of real leadership from Obama. His brain was injected with the folly of liberal hate throughout his formative years and we now have a liberal infant filled with hate for wealth and an attitude clearly... very very clearly ... in which he feels that he is a superior bieng to anyone who has personal wealth, which he currently defines as anyone netting over 250K. He is the essence of untaintable purity in his own mind and he is bent on cleansing the infection of wealthiness from our society. He believes there is integrity in the failure to achieve, purity in poverty, and that the only "good" folks are those who are forever struggling to make ends meet. But if you make it, he'll take it. If you achieve, he'll relieve you of your money. Looks like his poll numbers are slipping, so it's off to have a few laughs with Leno and tour the country like a one man stand up comedy act or the Michael Jackson of politics trying to redeem his image by standing around for press cameras in some cool shades and blowing kisses to the crowds.  This is our President? Do we really need this? Sheesh.

CRAWLING OUT OF THE DARKNESS....

We are not amused Mr. President, Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Reid and Mr. Frank.  All the vitriol and hatered you are spewing at the AIG Corporation is not going to distract us from the fact that you have just spent this country into bankruptcy for the foreseeable future and accomplished nothing in the process. Your hypocritical ranting and raving at "executives" and bonuses is not going to make us forget about your socialist agenda to seize control of the healthcare industry, the banking industry, to force economically unsound environmental policies on businesses that will raise costs for all Americans, your rollback of laws designed to keep us safe from terrorism, and your irresponsible continuation of the banking regulations that required a percentage of loans to be granted to those who could not afford them.

Obama has , up to very recently, been ripping down the economy and saying that government is "the only one" that can fix it. He didn't actually disown that statement yet, that only government can fix it...  ( though he should reverse that idea )... but, trying to suddenly put a positive spin on the economy makes him come off as either hypocritical or a bit suspicious. When a politician "says" one thing and "acts" in the opposite manner, we have a leader who does not believe in his own words, and that is not a good thing.  Obama needs to back up his statement about people staying positive about the economy by showing that "he" is positive about the economy by stopping all government bailouts and letting the market go through natural corrections based on capitalism, and simply and plainly remove barriers to freedom by cutting taxes across the board and letting people keep more of thier own money and thus boost consumption to new heights. If he did that, I would be cheering him on. but he's not doing that. We know he won't do that, because he doesn't really believe in a free market system and wants to control the economic outcome of everyone's lives so that he, in his own mind, can play the hero , can play the savior of the country and institute the sort of socialist ideas he deeply believes in.  Recessions are cyclical and it will turn around regardless of Obama's and Pelosi's and Reid's hideous spending and ... , when it does eventually turn around Obama and his cohorts will lie about it by saying it was his stimulus package that caused the economy to rebound when in fact the so-called stimulus probably will be the cause of a "delay" in the economy rebounding.

OBAMA'S PUPPET MASTERS

I observed, from the time of his rising through the primaries, that the biggest liberals in government were rushing out to praise and endorse Obama over Hillary Clinton. Initially that struck me as a bit odd. My theory was that the Clinton's made some political enemies in thier own party by being such dominating figures.  I think that is absolutley true  now and i am really convinced that this is what carried Obama into office.  Much as I disagree with both the Clinton's political views, they both knew how to play the middle of the road and how to keep the ultra liberal left wing of thier party from going overboard. I think , people like Ted kenedy, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry.. etc.. extemist liberals who were playing up Obama early on... saw a useful fool in Obama. They saw a puppet who could be a tool of the ultra left wing socialists to drive thier agenda through congress.  It strikes me that this is coming home to roost now.  President Obama is fast draining the political capital that carried him into office with grossly out of proportion spending bills that even those with little to no economic background can clearly see is not a good thing. There is rising anger across the country at the tidal wave of spending. I think we are seeing the lack of experience rearing its head. I suspect..., that Obama is thoroughly overwhelmed with the task of being President and is so caught up in the  volitile pressures of security, economy, and foriegn affairs..., a hideous pressure that all Presidents face...the like of which he never really understood till he got into position... that he is not capable of stepping back to analyze the impact of his own drive to get all these big liberal agenda items accomplished. And I think that is exactly what the hard core leftists in congress want. They want him as thier rubber stamp and they bascially have accomplished that.  I think... part of the reason for the rushing of the big ticket liberal economic bills through congress is because he is getting pressure from the elitist constituent groups and politicians who propped him up during his campaign and are expecting payback. Also, he does believe in central planning. Obama is a big government liberal and the idea of big government control comes naturally to him. But I also think..., he's being manipulated to some degree by puppet masters around him who are much more experienced and have big socialist agends they want to see happen.  I never thought Obama was ready to be President, and I think he's proving it.  I don't think we have a president who is in control.

OBAMA BECOMES DON CORLEONE

The reason some corporate executives are playing both sides of the coin, standing up for Conservative fiscal policy and then bizzarely praising Obama is not hard to figure out. Obama has become a thug. Every bailout has been used by Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Obama, etc..., as extortion for taking control of those businesses. This is almost like loan sharking. It's insidious. It's like some shady guy in a trenchcoat stepping out of a dark alley and whispering in your ear, "hey, buddy, I hear you're having money problems... well... I can help". And you basically sign your life away to him in exchange for financial help. Is this what Obama voters wanted? Is this Hope and Change? Is it the business of our government to be a thug to private businesses and to people who make over 250K? Think about the role reversal that is going on here. The US federal government descends from the people, it is owned and operated by you and me. But, with the current trend, with the outrageous spending and taxing, the elected representatives of the people have taken on a new vision for our government, a vision whereby the body of our government represents our parents, and we are mere children being given an allowance, and being spanked and sent to the stand in corner for daring to question it's authority. You know, everyone saw what happened to "Joe the plumber" when he said he didn't like Obama's plans. No one wants to be attacked by the highest sitting political leader in the world with the resources at his fingertips to litterally destroy a person's life, and Obama and his team has proven they will do so if it means shutting down voices of opposition that might be taken seriously.

I've been trying to put this administration and congress into a perspective that boils it down to it's goals and ideology overall. What I observe, is that the leaders in power in our federal government right now have become an adversary of the people, of the foundational documents of our nation, and of the greater vision of our founding fathers. Our government is fighting us. Obama et-al are throwing punches at our way of life, while trying to convince us that every punch we take is good for us, and strengthens us, while the real goal of our adversary is to weaken us , the masses, until we give up and admit we are a defeated bunch of misanthropes. Never, I don't think in all of our history, has such a fluid abomination as the wilful destruction of capitalism and self determination been put forward as it is now. Obama once said "we are the ones we've been waiting for", well, let's modify that to realistically fit his administration. "We have met the enemy, and he is us". That should be the Obama slogan for his administration. He is an enemy of the American way of life. But elections have consequences.  And we now face what the majority elected.

We could say that Reagan was an actor who made you believe he was sincere about his view of the country whenever he spoke, and he was... he was always genuine. Obama is not an actor but he puts on an act whenever he speaks, complete with a script and cue cards. He is such a poser as President, he is running the exeuctive branch as if it were a branch of ACORN. I think obama voters are beginning to peer into his mask and see something they don't like. It's stunning how much socialism has been rammed into legislation since he took office. It is overwhelming and it is so destructive that even Obama voters can not help but notice.

Just one more thing, I'm all for our political leaders promoting a positive view and inspiring people toward consumption, BUT as I recall McCain was lambasted, broiled, fried, and served up like sushi by Obama, his cronies, and everyone in the media for daring to say that the fundamentals of our economy are sound. Obama recently saying ( paraphrasing...) that we should trust in most our financial institutions and that most have conducted sound fiscal policies and that in some basic ways our economy is okay, sounds STRIKINGLY similar. But he will , of course, get a pass on it that McCain did not. I beleive McCain was actually forced to apologize for his "insensitivity" for remarking on the same thing that Obama basically just said. The difference is, I think McCain really did and does have faith in the strength of the American work ethic, and Obama is just talking to hear himself sound Presidential because many pundits were asking why he doesn't present a more positive and inspirational view for our economy, and he doesn't actually mean a single word of it.

Every day I check real estate listings on my local areas to track prices and trends, looking at investment properties. About twice a month for the past 6 months, almost without fail, home owners have been kocking 5 to 10 percent off the price of thier homes in a desperate attempt to sell. A beautiful townhouse across the street from me started off at 289K about 6 months ago, it just sold at 244K. Now here's the thing. There are plenty of people who would have loved to have that house. And it would have sold much sooner and for much closer to the original asking price, if disposable income was in greater command for the consumer. This is not rocket science, really. It's not hard. If .... I know this is a radical thought... but if , instead of baling out banks, all tax paying consumers were given a 20% cut in federal income tax, and capital gains was cut by just 20%, if more disposable assests , more liquid assets were left in the hands of the consumer... buying and selling would skyrocket. There would be a swift correction and markets would rise to new heights. It's so simple. More money in your pocket, more opportunity to buy the things you want and/or need. But we now face massive spending that too many people are just rolling over for. What happened to government taking the burden OFF of people? Cutting the tax burden is such a simple idea, there should be no cloudiness in the minds of the masses, but Obama's administration works to put those clouds up there

KEEPING THE BIG AMERICAN IMAGE ALIVE?

I find it very disturbing that the self-annointed Conservative illuminati bloggers and media pundits in the DC beltway still find themselves reluctant to proclaim the prinicples of the ideology.  This highlights why the Republicans are crumbling as an institution.  The tremendous opportunity being wasted by those on our side who seek to criticize Conservatism as out-of-touch or a values system that doesn't belong in this day and age is heartbreaking. This is a moment in history that is crying out for unity all the way back to our founding fathers. It is important that we all stand on solid ground with an approach to reaching out by defining the prinicples of Conservatism, and bringing home the foundational values of Conservatism as a rising tide lifting all boats, wanting everyone big or small to succeed, sweeping away the debris of red tape and government tax burdens to open opportunites as wide as they can be. A leader motivates people with grand vision, not policy wonking. Look at Obama, he sold a fantasy to a public that was ready to buy into anything that would change What they felt was wrong with the Bush administration. It was a phony pledge of cutting waste and restoring consumer confidence, ending war and making peace with world leaders who want to destroy us. It was all a ruse, just like his phony economic summit and phony healthcare summit where he asks people to form groups and come up with answers to all of our problems in a few hours. Absolute garbage and nonsense, a sideshow designed to make it seem like he's being bi-partisan or non-partisan. Conservatism is a real philosphy with principles that work. Conservatism is not a complicated philosophy, it's a common sense approach to life that people more often than not follow without even realizing it. There's a golden moment here, when the heralds of Conservative values should all be standing up to enjoin a common cause, to restore the real vision of this country, the freedom from which everything great that we have attained as a nation has arisen. To restore the reverence the Constitution deserves as the document that has so far kept us from falling into the tar pits of socialism and communism. To put the real history of our country back into its proper perspective. At this pivotal moment we can't afford to have petty bruised egos in the punditry of elitist Conservative circles trying to undercut the push to salvage the American way of life.

I think what the liberals fear most about talking about thier goals of a socialized American society, is that they KNOW liberal ideas can not withstand being debated. Liberalism falls flat on its face when it has to be defended in logical rational context. When exposed, liberalism makes no sense at all, and in fact is clearly antithetical to freedom. The liberals know that Obama's agenda is pure socialism and can only succeed without debate. I work in customer service at a major international company that is currently in the process of laying off about 2400 people worldwide. People who I know and have worked with have been cut, fortunately no one in my immediate group, but it certainly puts focus on the fact that a slowdown in the economy effects everyone, even big coporations that are in the black financially such as the one I work for have had to make some cutbacks due to a depressed market, cutbacks that effect people's livelihood. All the spending bills being crafted and passed in DC are not going to drive people to increase personal consumption. Most people know this about thier own situations. And that's why there's is palpable disgust with the exorbitant spending coming out of DC. It not only will do nothing to restore the consumer base of the country's business, but it also drives down the markets that invest in  businesses because of the uncertainty that comes from the government artifically propping up failing consumer industries. Putting pressure on big companies by raising taxes on them is putting people OUT OF WORK. The evidence is everywhere.    Everything that is great about our culture and society arises from one single overarching ideal, freedom.  Socialism and facism, both of which are in the process of happening, is pure poison to freedom. Our founders gave us an incredible document for structuring our government so that it does not become a debacle like the socialized European nations who are collapsing under thier own failing systems. We need to turn the country's vision, heart, and soul back to understanding why we have progressed as far as we have. And why this agenda of destructive government intrusion is exactly the opposite vision that our founders had for this country.

OBAMA - ECONOMIC TERRORIST

People can, and often do, try to perpare themselves for potential disaster. When you're sitting in an airplane and the captain tells you to brace for impact, you do what you can.  You make sure you know where that flotation device is, you grip the arms of the seat, you pray... but the ground is coming up fast and you know there's nothing at all you can do to stop it. You just hold on tight and pray you survive. When Obama won the election, I knew what was coming.  You knew what was coming..., most of us who are Conservatives and politically aware , knew what was coming.  But to actually SEE it, to see the speed of that impact racing up to hit us in the face as it's doing right now... is just stunning.  It's devastating and heartbreaking. Obama is the plane crash we knew was coming, but the impact is no less powerful or disheartening because of that fore-knowledge. The Stimulus bill passing into law was like getting that announcement from the captain to brace for impact.  The 4 trillion dollar budget is like the point of impact, when the nose of the plane plunges into the tarmack, and the screams of the passengers are hard to hear over the sound of twisting metal and exploding fuel tanks. And it's only been a few months. To actually see the nightmare scenario of the stinking carcass of socialism and central planning rise up like a great tsunami with its shadow falling across the country, flush with life from an infusion of our taxes, is like somthing from a steven king horror movie.   We have to make progress in turning this beast around at the next mid-term election cycle, or it will bury us for generations. Obama is the only plane crash that has a cheering section. The liberals are toasting this plane crash and it just makes me sick to see it happening. Because he has a rubber-stamp Democrat majority, Obama basically has a free hand to destroy our way of life in a way that the terrorist enemies of our country can only dream of. And we can't stop him, except by voting him out when the time comes, or maybe weakening the numbers of congressional democrats at the next mid-term. Obama has proven..., that he will destroy our economy in the name of maintaining Democrat power, and his own power, if that's what it takes.

I heard Bob Shrum ( Democrat political consultant) today on the fox show Brian And The Judge say "the people don't care about the pork ( in the upcoming ominbus spending bill). It's trivial.". I was of course outraged that he would dare to say that. But this is the genuine attitude of these socialists. That in itself was a teachable moment to anyone who heard it. There are radical liberals who think that the masses want all this insane spending and don't care what it's being spent on. Shrum actually was trying to defend money for earmarks such as tattoo removal, and swine odor management. His argument..."hey, these things need funding , and they're important to someone...", and again he said "the people don't care about this.". Amazing. And I'm sure you heard Obama putting the screws to Bush as the goat for his liberal agenda. Obama and all his cohorts are going to blame Bush throughout this Presdiency as the scapegoat for anything they want to do. Obama is a coward, he doesn't have the testicular fortitude to stand up and admit this has always been what he wanted to do and that he would have done it regardless of Bush. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Conservative president articulating Conservatism..., rather than a phoney baloney radcial socialist hiding behind a thin veneer of Conservative language as he sells his goals of central planning? It just continues to emphasize the dysfunctional nature of liberalism, that it has to hide behind a Conservative couch for fear of being exposed. It is cowardly, menacing, decietful, you name it. It's disgusting.

OBAMA WON

Obama won. He likes to remind us of that when Conservatives criticize his stimulus package. But, just because he won., doesn't mean we need to stand by and allow him to drive down the economy even further with huge frivilous spending. Ostensibly, loans for purchasing homes were given to many people who could not afford them, in order to help them obtain the "American dream". At least that was the cloak in which these bad loans were made and were encouraged to be made by the Federal government telling private banks they "had" to allow this or face penalties. But, in light of this boondoggle of a stimulus that is "allegedly" somehow supposed work to undo the damage done by this policy, we all need to ask ourselves, what is that "American dream"? Is it simply owning your own home...? Or is it achieving a financial level of indpendence... that then permits you to afford owning your own home? The American dream since the country was founded has been individual freedom. Without that , we have nothing. Zip, zero, nada, nothing. The freedom to work and save for the things you want in life is inherent in the greatness of our country. People should not be thought of as "deprived" simply because they can't afford to buy and maintain a house. But.., we have a country and a population that has turned freedom on its head. Instead of being free to work hard and save and earn the things you want to have in life, many people now feel entitled to anything they want simply because they are United States citizens. It's no longer about working to achieve, but feeling entitled , demanding entitlements, and then figuring out later how to handle paying for it or be given an out with some tax funded program. As a population we seem to feel entitled to a house, entitled to a lifetime of medical care, entitled to well paying jobs, entitled to attend college, and entitled to an endless line of credit to get whatever we want regardless of the means to pay for it. This is a huge challenge to overcome. The government does not owe individuals a particular standard of living, and our earnings should not be taxed for the purpose of granting such percieved entitlements as owning a home. Now, Obama's boondoggle of a stimulus law is pure socialist manure and we should be worried that he was so easily able to get this passed through congress. The radicals like Obama have it backwards. We do not work for him, he works for us. Our job as citizens is not to provide him with an endless river of taxes to build his socialist playground with while he and his cronies decide how much of our earned money we are entitled to keep for ourselves. Cutting income taxes and captial gains taxes would be a huge boost to helping people be able to "AFFORD" owning thier own home.

If we have to have a mortgage bailout... ( and I don't think that we have to...) then here's my plan to help people who can no longer afford to pay thier mortgage.  It's much better than Obama's plan... and it's astoundingly simple, and it does not penalize anyone, and it helps every home owner who has a mortgage.  Tax forgiveness. Instead of taking tax money from paul to pay peter so that peter can meet his mortgage obligations, reduce all person's federal income tax by a level equivalent to their mortgage payment, to allow every person to meet thier mortgage... for the remaining term of the mortgage. After which time these people's income tax is restored to the standard level for thier income. Selling the house would require to pay back federal income tax equal to the amount that was forgiven. Make this plan optional , so that people who are paying mortgages can opt-in or opt-out at any time ( and as many times as they feel is needed) during the length of thier mortgage. This way the amount that they would have to pay back in tax upon selling the house is up to the individual who can choose at periods of time to take on the full mortgage burden himself at his normal income tax rate, thereby elminiating the tax payback for that period of time, and/or switch to the tax forgiveness option to reduce full burden of the mortgage. This also helps those who have already been foreclosed by helping them through reduced taxes to obtain a new mortgage.

AN EXPOSED BOOB

Barney Frank was grilling CEO's yesterday at the congressional class warfare barbecue. Hearing his tax-fattened jowls mumble and babble about what he thinks top executive pay in private companies should be was sickening. Listening to Barney Frank talk is like listening to cow flatulence. Al Gore should be putting cork in frank's mouth to keep him from contributing to global warming. I swear that gas bag could power a fleet of dirigibles on a world wide journey with one exhale of his breath while he berates CEO's for taking bonuses. That fool is working hard to get people to forget his role in the Freddie Mac / Fannie Mae debacle by pretending to be a hero as he plays class warfare games. How we can be so ignorant in my home state as to re-elect that blathering  boob to office over and over is beyond my comprehension. Barney Frank needs to buy a bra for his mouth, because he is definitely an over exposed boob.

OBAMA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

Obama Claus is coming to town..., have you been good little boys and girls?  Well then, step right up and sit in his lap and ask Obama Claus for whatever your heart desires.  After all, that's what the President of the United States has transformed into behind the mask of Barack Obama, a gift giving entity who pulls money out of seemingly thin air. Except that this version of Saint Nicholas has far worse in store for you than a lump of coal in your stocking if you're not a good little brainless liberal and don't follow his plan for world peace and economic happiness. Obama Claus has been circling above the country in his magic tax-powered sleigh pulled by bloated egomaniacs .. "on Nancy ,on Barney, on Barbara and Harry...., "... and has been declaring from the top of his lungs... “A failure to act, and act now ( meaning a failure to pass his grease pit of a plan to socialize the country with massive liberal welfare and confiscation of private industry), will turn crisis into a catastrophe and guarantee a longer recession, a less robust recovery, and a more uncertain future.". He goes on to say "... I can tell you with complete confidence that a failure to act will only deepen this crisis as well as the pain felt by millions of Americans. the U.S. faces a profound economic emergency".  Gosh, is this how Obama spreads a message of  Hope and Change to the country?  Obama Claus managed to get the cooperation of three liberal ( RINO ) Republicans in the senate to close off debate on the Senate version of the grease pit bill.  Senators Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins got into thier pajamas and slid under the soiled bedsheets with all 58 Democrats on the procedural motion cheering on socialism for the country with a vote of 61 - 38 to smack down any delaying tactics by the Republican conservatives. Obama Claus is determined to give us gifts from his magic sack of tax gold whether we want them or not, all with the end result of making our "economy" ( does he even know what that is..? ) better.  Here's some of the ways Obama Claus is going to use this grease pit bill to ease the suffering of those who are being laid off... with a 50 million dollar injection to the Endowment For the Arts..., 650 million dollars for digital TV coupons, 150 million dollars for the Smithsonian Institution..., 1 billion dollars for the Census bureau ....4.2 billion for "community organizers" such as ACORN... , 400 million for global-warming research...yes... if you are now scratching your heads as to what this does to put Joe The Plumber back in his job, you're not alone. Obama Claus calls it a stimulus package, but what it is in reality is... well... it's in part a tax funded payoff to all of the liberal thugs and kneecappers who pumped up Obama during his campaign and in part an attempt to hide tax funding for government programs that might have otherwise had to face debate on thier own. Sadly for Obama Claus, people are beginning to catch on, and a rising wave of anger over the stinking pile of gut wrenching grease filling this bill is taking hold in the offices of elected officials. Hey... Obama Claus...YOU CAN'T PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG. Remember that one? This stimulus bill is the biggest pig ever to roll out of DC.  Obama is not only putting lipstick on this stimulus package, he's also putting a ballroom gown, glass slippers and a wig on it and is taking it out to dinner. Any Republican who supports this package should be ashamed. The House Republicans did the right thing by unifying against it. They need to stay strong. While there's no doubt that we are in the midst of a cultural/political war for the salvation of our free market economy, I still find myself immensely amused at the precariously balanced agenda of the Obama administration. Everything that he has instigated since taking office is leading to a showdown. He's building up a tower of socialism on styrofoam pillars and simply has no ability to hide what he's doing except by distracting people with populist class warfare. I sincerely believe he will turn out to be one of the worst Presidents our country has ever had to endure.

RUSH LIMBAUGH MAKES THE DEMOCRATS TREMBLE

Let's briefly look at just a few examples of Liberals in thier role of dissent, protest, and expression of "free speech". In 1989 the world was exposed to "Art" in the form of a plastic crucifix submerged in urine. It was titled  **** Christ. ( the asterisks are a word beginning with the letter P and ending in ISS)  Supporters claimed it to be an issue of free speech and thus the artist's right to express his opinion. In another infamous example, The Berkeley California City Council voted to send a message to the Marines that they're not welcome in the city. It also voted to give Code Pink its own parking spot outside the Marine recruiting center, which allows a group member to protest during the center's office hours. Code Pink founder Jodie Evans said ""We're trying to end the war, and military recruiting is a way that continues war. One of the pillars of war are soldiers that fight it.". Clearly an attack on the men and women risking thier lives to protect our country, but... of course... that's lauded as free speech. Whenever Liberals protest, mock, denigrate, ridicule, with ad hominem attacks, or at times violent attacks, the symbols or monuments or institutions of our country that define conservative values , millions of liberal media types rush to thier defense. The ACLU leaps out of the bushes with thier tails wagging ready to help them, and anyone who criticizes thier protests as wrong headed is labeled as intolerant and phobic. And now we get to Rush Limbaugh, a Conservative political analyst who with rational context, relevancy, and intellectual honesty declared that he hopes Obama fails. Fails in his goals of redistribution of wealth and government central planning. Fails in his plans to weaken the defense of the country by doing things to embolden our enemies such as shutting down Guantanamo bay detention center and granting Iraqi and other middle eastern tyrants propaganda opportunities with unconditional face to face talks. For expressing his opinion, intellectually supported and mild by far in comparison to the riotous over-emotional approach of the left in thier methods of protest and dissent, he is now the focus of attack by liberal militants in the Democrat party ( The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ) who can not bear to have any of thier political icons or deities critiqued, especially not thier dubious leader Barack Hussein Obama. Rush Limbaugh has what none, not one..., of the Liberal media dogs and left wing kook groups has, the ability to coherently and rationally defend his views.  And he has the courage to speak his mind without fearing what a tidal wave of liberal critics will undoubtedly say and do as a result. The Republicans in DC could learn something by observing how Rush Limbaugh vigorously defends the institutions that made this country great, fearlessly denouncing the intellectually vacant arguments of all the liberal architects of socialism who are given credence in the news and entertainment media and pop culture. One might assume , that since the Democrat party won the Presidential election, and holds majorities on both houses of congress, that they wouldn't be so concerned what one .... ONE.... political commentator says on his radio talk show.  Beyond being an outrageous attack on Mr. Limbaugh, this is interesting for what it says about the insecurity of the Democrats. If Obama's own party believes he is not strong enough to survive some critique on a talk show, we need to be very worried about how he will respond in the face of a national emergency,... and maybe this just proves that Rush Limbaugh's criticism of Obama is exactly right.

OBAMA'S POET??

I'm not sure how long that poet, Elziabeth Alexander worked on her poem for Obama's inauguration..., but it certainly defies normal analysis in the context of Obama becoming President.  Yet, I consider myself somewhat of a poet. Here , then, is a poem I just now crafted with about 15 minutes of thought, that I feel probably is far more relevent. I call it , OUR COMMON BOND;

Freedom beats
In our country's heart,
A uniting desire
From our history's start,
It's a torch with a light
That has rallied our will,
From the smallest of towns
Up to Capitol Hill,
Whatever our struggles without and within..,
What binds us together is far beyond skin,
Far beyond race or religion or creed,
What draws us to fight when our country's in need,
Is the most basic of rights,
The most common of seed,
The freedom that GOD to all humans decreed.
Politics pulls us in myriad ways,
But the thing that unites us through all of our days,
Is the sacred unwavering right to defend
The path we will take to our destiny's end.

OBAMA'S INAUGURATION DEBACLE - ONE WORD CRITIQUE

Here is my review of Obama's Inauguration speech.  THUD!  That's all.   Instead of giving a speech he could have stood up there, and said "pardon me..." pulled out a handkerchief and blown his nose, then walked away... and it would have been equally as relevent as the speech he made. As for reverend Lowry's so-called Benediction, sounds like he studied at the feet of Pastor Wright, closing his "prayer" with an inappropriate silly and insulting rhyme. I suspect the massive crowds were supremely disappointed all the way through this debacle.

BARACK OBAMA IS A HERO

Barack Obama, you are a hero to all the great carnival barkers who ever sold a ten cent ticket to a scam sideshow. When I consider the greatest men in the history of our country who have held the office of President, none can claim the one great trait you bring to that most noble of political "houses".  And that trait is....nothing. You have proven that there is no resume needed for leadership of the free world, other than for being in the opposite party during a weak economy. To all the people who have no experience in their jobs, no qualifying background that provides a basis for promotion, you are an inspiration.  In a business world sense, you have leapt from being an entry-level clerk, to being CEO , with no internship in between. You did it by selling empty promises and vague notions of hope and change while providing no clear plan for success. You are an advertising firm's dream come true. For those of us who bought pet rocks, mood rings, hoola hoops and chia pets, voting for you has been the culmination of our national obsession with fads and gimmicks. You are the closet space saver, the super steak knife set, the miracle juicer and the vacuum-seal plastic bowl set of our Presidential hopes. And like so many of those gimmicks that wear thin and end up being far less than we hoped for, you too will satisfy the fad requirement of diminishing our expectations and souring our optimism. Decades from now when a new generation looks back on past Presidents, your election to the Presidency will be remembered in the same way we remember any fad...., with a nostalgic, somewhat embarrassed smile and shake of the head in wonderment that we could ever have done something so silly.

STILL THE CHILDREN CRY....,

As a nation we've been psychologically neutered. We have given psycho-chiatrists along with willing culprits in the liberal children's interests and congressmen, the status of GOD and have not challenged them when they say that children are so all important that we can not punish them, nor reprimand them, nor actually give them failing grades or losing scores when they fail in academia or competition, nor deny them any sexual exploration they choose to engage in but instead foster it by helping them with condoms. We have been convinced that children are little ceramic angels on a shelf that we need to tend carefully, not jostle in any way, and treat like priceless objects of art that can do no wrong. We have been liberalized. It's one of the 100% wins for liberalism. We can't dare speak out against anyone proposing higher spending and taxes when it's labeled as "for the children". The liberals have really bamboozled the masses on this one.  This is liberalism at it's most deadly, at it's darkest. When liberalism attacks the foundation of normal , natural learning at the elementary level, and implants in the minds of children that they are deities who rule, rather than ignorant children who must learn, it sets them up for absolute destruction. Liberals may think it builds thier self esteem ( though I don't think they really believe that... I think there's another agenda behind this...), but it does precisely the opposite. It will send children into confusion, despair and morbidity as they grow up when they finally confront the fact that thier every whim is not going to be carried out... when they finally realize that they are very, very fallible creatures. Those are the sheltered coddled kids who suddenly will realize that the world is far more unfair than they were led to believe and fall into a morbid form of self pity. In an almost ingenious way, however, it sets up liberal ideologues to hold power over the resulting adults who can not fend for themselves because they never learned how. This is an age of cultural decay and the rot is thick in some places. By tiny steps and little nudges that don’t upset the apple cart, we have been inching toward a society that will welcome a socialized form of government as way of life. Life is complicated, often filled with more failures than successes, stresses and emotional strains, joys and tragedies. But that’s life. If we allow our financial failures to be mitigated by tax money, our personal failings to be blamed on others or on society, and our moral vestment in the ethic of working for what we need and for what we want… to be superseded by an attitude of entitlement …, then we are not engaged in life. Such a scenario places us in a plastic bubble controlled by a faceless societal leviathan known as our Federal Government who will take the role of surrogate parent from prenatal to postmortem. This should be relegated to the vistas of science fiction and fantasy, not a part of our real world.

UNCOORDINATED BALLERINAS

We need someone with GUTS to be the Republican party's Conservative leader. That is what is so infuriating, so frustrating, so deep down disturbing about the Party at this point. Look, we can see liberals all the time boldly standing up for the things they believe, regardless of how illogical they are..., but where is the boldness among Republicans? Where is that energy and drive and absolute commitment to purpose in a Conservative leader among Republicans? The liberal Democrats have the GUTS to do and say what they want. The Republicans lack GUTS, they lack COURAGE. Compared to the Democrats they're a bunch of flitting ballerinas tiptoeing and pirouetting around every controversial issue. And they're not even good at that. They're uncoordinated disjointed ballerinas. Maybe I'm just getting tired. Maybe it's just a fantasy and I'm being foolish to believe our country can produce another great thinker like Jefferson or Adams who knows what it takes to be an inspirational ideological leader among men. It seems like we throw opportunities away when they come to us. I was inspired about the possibility of a Palin VP possibly becoming a Palin presidency, but maybe..., maybe it was doomed to fail regardless. The longer we let liberalism seep into the fabric of our culture the harder it's going to be to find the Conservative who will take it all on and prove that our country's government can be restored to it's proper place and role as our founders intended.

We seem to have lost some former Conservative advocates like Gingrich, who want to take a moderate approach now... not be critical of Obama... etc..., and I think we should not try to pull them back in thier current state... because if they will throw away standing firm for Conservatism for the sake of appearing malleable and polite and gently concerned... basically be the New Tone Republicans ..., then we can't trust thier approach or thier dedication to Conservative ideology. We need someone with the GUTS to be a Conservative leader in political office. It's become plain that Conservatism is on par with the stance the Whigs of the Revolutionary War took against the Loyalists... a bunch of colonists who didn't want to upset the status, who felt that things would be better under the Monarchy. The colonial era Loyalists are like the Moderates of the Republican party today. This is a Revolutionary War of sorts, but instead of military battles we are fighting decay and rot within the Party leadership. Just like it took a General Washington to keep the fight going, to never give it up even under the harshest conditions, we need someone with that same grit to carry the Conservative banner high and be proud to do so. Conservatives... genuine Conservatives should be proud to defend the things we believe. We should be energized and motivated to bring the positive values of freedom and life to the table and have no fear of declaring those ideals openly and with strength. We can't fight a battle like this from a position of cowardice and soft tones. We can't rally people by expressing moderate views.

Now, as for Obama..., lately Obama had some stupid things to say. He has some unique gall to declare that Wall Street needs adult supervision. The liberals have blamed greed for everything except the problems that THEY caused. This statement by Obama shows, what we already know..., that he is an enemy of free market capitalism and that he intends to use anecdotes about greedy CEO's to deflect any blame from himself and his cronies on the banking committees. As for the vitriol and rage from the liberal gay and lesbian activists over Obama's choosing of Rick Warren to appear at his Inauguration, this is only the beginning. This is what we can expect during an Obama administration that portends to be the best friend of every wacky left wing cause under the sun. Any time he makes a token gesture, for show, toward a conservative cause , we are going to see nut cases swinging from the lamp poles and shrieking about Obama being a turncoat. This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Remember all the anger Conservatives had and still have over the political party-hoping antics of McCain? We were told by pundits and reporters and analysts to "grow up" , "get real" , "stop fighting against our own party". But you know they won't dare say that about the gays and lesbians. They won't take it out on the radicals special interest groups and they won't take it out on Obama. They will find a Conservative to spear over any such issues.
