AN INCREMENTAL DESTRUCTION OF FREEDOM

That it's even being considered to bail out the auto industry ( again ), is a crime against the founding principles of our country, and puts the government ( and thus the nation)  squarely onto the slippery slope of fascism, in fact at this point we have already fully engaged a part of our economy in fascist measure, with the tether of the lone rope keeping us from falling into the black hole below fraying at the edges. You must realize what it means to have the government taking ownership of formerly private industries. Does the name Hugo Chavez ring a bell?  For "the good of the country" he took away private ownership of all oil companies in Venezuela. There is a theory called incrementalism, which states that the masses will accept anything if it is done gradually, allowing slow acclimation by the public.  We are THERE. We are in the midst of incremental government takeover, inch-by-inch,  of any industry on which the wealth of the nation is measured. The only brake we have is the right to vote, and possibly the Supreme Court, if it will intervene in this ..., which is itself questionable. The right to vote has proven USELESS in this past election cycle since the masses have voted in the most liberal president in history and given him a majority party control of the congress. The blindness of the public eye to the incrementalism of the weakening of free market capitalism is ASTOUNDING. Not that McCain would have been a lot better, after all he voted to allow Paulson to do the ridiculous things he's done so far with his multi-billion dollar budget. This is why we need genuine Conservatives to win the positions of power in our government, to stop this incremental destruction of our system of capitalism and economic freedom.

FRANKENSTEIN AND THE SUPREME HILLARY

Camelot, Camelot, Camelot.  All you hear now is whispers about Obama recreating the "Camelot" administration of Kennedy. With his views, JFK would be kicked out of the Democrat party today, the way Joe Lieberman was. He would probably be a Republican. Besides, it's obvious the Democrats don't realize that the story of King Arthur and Camelot was a tragedy. Arthur's Lady Guinevere cheated on him with his best friend Lancelot who he banished from Camelot, then Arthur went crazy and sent all his knights on a futile quest to find the Holy Grail. Instead of referring to the Obama presidency as "Camelot" we should call it "Ingolstadt", the Bavarian town where Victor Frankenstein created his monster. Also, I heard Lanny Davis on the news today suggesting that Obama might appoint Hillary Clinton to a position on the Supreme Court.  God help us.  Is this what the Obama voters really wanted?

FREEDOM GOES ON A BUMPY RIDE

There are generally two schools of thought regarding bullies. The first approach is to take them head-on and show them you will not tolerate being abused. The other approach is to ignore them, don't feed thier ego, and eventually they give up. It's been soundly proven that the second approach is almost always an abysmal failure. Ignoring the bully either entices him to be even more brazen in his attacks, or it appears to give the bully credibility since you won't defend yourself..., or both. So why bring this up? Sarah Palin has been bullied by the press, by Hollywood, by every Democrat pundit, from nearly the very first day that McCain announced her as his choice for a running mate. Her children, her husband, her stature as a mother, her intelligence, have been ridiculed in the way a mindless bully attempts to ridicule who he perceives to be the most defenseless target on the playground. As a politician a certain amount of this comes with the job, and you have to allow it to roll off your back..., to a degree. But there comes a time when it's reached its limit and the bullies need to be taught a lesson. When people who were on your side are turned against you launching the most petty, snide, cowardly, immature attacks from deep in the shadows, helping your enemies to tear you down, it's time to go after those traitors. Senator McCain proves again he is an absolutely bitter ingrate and a waste of time, as he sits idly by allowing lies from his own campaign staffers to be tossed at Governor Palin. Why? Because he never liked Conservatives and thinks they are the problem with the Republican Party. Sarah Palin worked harder than McCain himself in the last nine weeks of the campaign, to try to get him elected. And everyone I know thinks it's also disgraceful that Fox News drools this garbage all over it's network without first waiting for a response from governor Palin so that it can be presented as a fair and balanced report. Cameron should be fired for his hack journalism in aiding this spreading of innuendo and lies and violating the credo of his own network's slogan of fair and balanced.

Also have you heard of Obama's plan to force all public school students to perform community service? This is the sort of thing courts punish criminals with. Obama wants to do this to students. Obama said... "So when I'm President, I will set a goal for all American middle and high school students to perform 50 hours of service a year, and for all college students to perform 100 hours of service a year. This means that by the time you graduate college, you'll have done 17 weeks of service.". So what is this supposed to be, Obama's forced labor camps? Will the students have to wear t-shirts with Obama's image on them while they perform thier forced labor? What's next? Every school room must have a portrait of Obama on the wall that the students have to salute? Looks like we better hold on tight. The Obama presidency is going to be a very bumpy ride for those who cherish freedom.

WORKING WITH REPUBLICANS

Supporters of Obama like to say that he is a uniter, he will listen to good ideas even from Republicans. In 2006 when Democrats gained control of both houses of congress Pelosi said "We will work with Republicans in Congress ", and then proceeded to be the most partisan yellow dog Democrat on Capitol Hill shutting Republicans out of all decision making except when she wanted cover for hyper partisan liberal legislation. She lied, blatanly, and badly. For example, when the Democrats formed a resolution to denounce President Bush for sending 20 thousand more troops to Iraq to commit to the "surge", Pelosi refused to allow Republicans to submit an alternative resolution.  ( 17 Republicans voted in favor of the resolution, the rest voted agains it). And I'm sure everyone still remebers the debacle over Pelosi refusing to allow republicans to have an up or down vote on expanding oil drilling on the coasts when gas was over 4 dollars a gallon nationally. . Now, I don't expect Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, et al... to work with Republicans.  They never have, never will. The only time Democrats are willing to listen to Republicans is when Republicans agree with them. Like McCain did on many occassions. But the bold lies and hypocrisy of Democrats suggesting they will work with Republicans, is remarkable. When pompous donkeys like Obama and Pelosi say they will listen to Republicans..., they say it in the maner of seeing themselves as Gods listening to the feeble wrthings of a bunch of worms. They feel then can "afford" to sound graciuous.., while stepping on the throats of any opposition, because they now hold all the power. They will listen to Republicans like a parent listening to a petulant child and treat them like bratty babies. I hope the Republicans do not try to get along with them. I hope a leader emerges who will fold his arms against his chest ( or hers) and say NO, when the Democrats want a Bi-Partisan vote with Republicans to cover thier sorry butts over a pieces of liberal Democrat legislation that most Americans will hate. We need a leader who will no longer give in to the Democrats on a bailout bill type of debacle. What I'm finding hilarious today is listening to pundits saying that Obama needs to hold a press conference where he tamps down on expectations, reduces excitement, calms down the hyper partisans who think he's going to pay for thier gas and thier food and fill thier pockets with money.  In other words they say he needs to pull back on  his goal to "spread the wealth". Then there was the comments by Poet Maya Angelou a few days after Obama won regarding what Obama winning means for the country.., where she said she realized that the United States was finally "growing up."  So , like Michelle Obama, finally Maya is finally proud the country.  Wow. That sure puts my mind at ease.  And now, finally, there is talk in congress of passing a "Fairness Doctrine" bill.  The original "Fairness Doctrine" policy passed by congress in 1949 was eventually discarded by the FCC in 1987 because it didn't do what it was intended for, it required broadcasters to "afford reasonable opportunity for the discussion of conflicting views of public importance."  Instead, broadcasters avoided any controversial discussions, and the policy ended up hindering freedom of the press.  This should be something that no one wants.

DO NOT WISH OBAMA SUCCESS AS PRESIDENT

I am sick and tired of hearing people say we need to wish Obama success as our President. Why should we wish Obama success? No one should hope Obama succeeds in his agenda as President. Why should we want our military weakened, our national stature diminished, our enemies strengthened, our taxes raised, and our medical systems and mortgage industries nationalized?  I hope Obama fails completely as President in what he seeks for this country. If he succeeds, then we all "lose". The only thing I can wish him success at is in raising his own awareness of the stupidity of his own ideas. I wish him success at realizing Conservatism is the best approach to governance, and I wish him success in overcoming his own deeply radical philosophies. I wish him success in realizing that General Petraeus knows more about how to win wars than he does and that he should take the General's advice in how to proceed and that military expenditures need to be strengthened, not cut.  I wish him success in realizing that he needs to Lower taxes on ALL earners and businesses in this country, and not raise any taxes at all and of the need to make the Bush tax cuts permanent and that it was his own party that caused the mortgage crisis, not greed on Wall Street.  I wish him success in waking up from his liberal fantasy dreamland and realizing that talking unconditionally to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran and Basher al-Assad of Syria is like talking to bloodthirsty mass murderers who will use his own obvious weakness against him.

BARE KNUCKLE CONSERVATISM - IT'S TIME FOR A REPUBLICAN UPRISING

I'm suggesting it's time to stop carrying any water for the Republicans who are trying to squelch Conservatives. It's time to retire the lords of left leaning moderatism in the Republican party, and yes that includes Senator McCain. It's time to take the velvet gloves off and get down to bare knuckle politics. It looks like Fox has decided to join the prostitutes of mainstream news media who have savaged Sarah Palin. Fox's reporter Carl Cameron was panting like a breathless basset hound dribbling his loose gossip all over the network about innuendo over Sarah Palin's wardrobe, temper, and knowledge on certain geo political topics. This has reduced Fox, at least for now, to sounding like one of those supermarket tabloids filled with rumors and nonsense. Hey CARL, what happened to Fair and Balanced? Today on the Fox radio show "Brian and The Judge", Brian Kilmead and Judge Napolitano spewed more of this rotgut innuendo about Sarah all day long. Hasn't Sarah Palin suffered enough abuse at the hands of the media? Hasn't she been beaten up, assaulted, attacked in a myriad of personal vindictive acidic and utterly vile venom-spewing ways to the point where the media fiends are satisfied , or is there never enough sacks of bile they can toss at her? This is what sickens people about news media. When the narcissistic vampires of today's news media claw around in the mud sniffing for any piece of trash they can pluck up in their salivating jaws and vomit onto the public and squeal over. Sarah Palin is a good, decent, hard working woman and mother who had the opportunity of a lifetime offered to her. She accepted the offer of it with good grace and met the challenge as well as anyone could expect. I am so sick of the media long knives slashing at her from all sides. Well, they can sit there and try to smack her around all they want, but the only thing it's going do is build her up  in the Conservative Movement. It's a right of passage for Conservatives to have the mainstream media try to burn you and denigrate you and attempt to destroy you personally. She's already passed that test, and the more the media heaps attacks on her now, the more we admire her and bond with her cause. This attack on Sarah needs to be the call to a Republican uprising of the Conservative Movement base. It's time to fight. This has got to be felt as the very last straw. If we want to see Sarah Palin or Bobby Jindal rise up to take the next election away from Obama, they MUST have a Conservative coalition behind them from within the party leadership. The current wishy washy moderate compromisers have to be replaced with HARD CORE conservatives so that none of this CRAP that Sarah Palin now has to face FROM HER OWN PARTY ever occurs again. Of course now.., we have a radical left wing Democrat elected as President. As far as liberals care this is now the best of all possible worlds. Not only is the new President a Democrat, but he's a radical liberal, and he's black. So, for the left wing, this combination means that everything is beautiful. There will be no more talk of a homeless problem, no more talk of a poverty problem, no more talk of children suffering from lack of insurance, no more children having problems with anything at all. Gangs will stop fighting, terrorists will give up, Israel will sign strong lasting peace treaties with Iran and Syria that actually work, and greenhouse gasses will suddenly be good for the ozone.  Negative talk about the country can't be allowed by Obama's media dogs once Obama takes the office. The world must now be portrayed as perfect. We will need to believe Osama bin Laden will turn himself in to President Obama, who will hug him like a good liberal and lead him off to jail where he will undergo psychological counseling and get food, medicine and cable TV at the expense of the public he committed mass murder on. Crime will drop by 60% just because Obama is such a nice guy, minorities who are struggling under the auspices of government assistance will suddenly become happy and wildly successful and will be given a special minority tax break so that they don't despair after reaching the level of success at which Obama would normally tax them mercilessly. Reparations will be paid to black families to finally close the door on slavery. Everything will be beautiful and we can all walk around with kaleidoscopes taped to our eyeballs as we drown in a tax draining pool of social wealth redistribution.

HOW REPUBLICANS CAN WIN THE NEXT ELECTION

Why are Republicans losing? The Republicans as a party have been working it backwards. They start out with trying to figure out what will get them the most votes, they do focus groups and polling, and then adjust the party message to try to appease the widest margin of voters that they can perceive of. They do not begin with a clear unwavering Conservative message and then try to convince people of the greatness of Conservative principles. Strength comes from the core values of principles that work. People admire and respect principles that work. What people don't admire is weakness and malleability in a leader. We don't want shape shifting leaders who will cross-dress in the name of compromise and weaken the image and power of the Presidency. His personal story of courage in combat aside ( we all admire his bravery in the armed forces).., How many times did McCain "the politician" talk about reaching across the aisle as if that were the golden key to a magical world of harmony and light and he was it's angelic keeper? I felt like RETCHING across the aisle every time he said it. How many times did he BOAST... ( good grief ) about spitting in the face of his own party?! That is sick stuff, to swing a hammer down on the people who are backing you..."not" because he's fighting corruption or unethical behavior ( as Sarah Palin was ) in his own party, but because he doesn't believe in the Republican party platform of Conservatism and he doesn't care to stand on the principles and goals of his own party and it's leader but to do whatever he damned well pleases regardless of how it hurts Republican coalitions formed to stand against the Democrats on certain issues. That reeks of back stabbing disloyalty and fosters mistrust.  There's no mystery as to why McCain was, and is one of the most reviled and loathed politicians among Movement Conservatives and was soundly rejected by a great number of them until he picked Sarah Palin to be his VP. He is not a leader of anything, he's a monkey wrench who tosses himself into the gears of Republican political machines built to defy the Democrats. In Obama's acceptance speech the other night, Obama was talking about "remaking" the nation. What country is Obama talking about, Kosovo..., Cuba? Who the hell is he to tell us that the United States needs to be remade? Is that his idea of compassion? We know what compassion is. Conservatism is the definition of compassion because it has faith in the principles of self determination and individual greatness. You know, at one time not too long ago, the people got it. The Contract With America was a conservative agenda and "the people" swept Republicans into Power because of it as the contract was well articulated by people like Newt Gingrich..., who sadly now has gone squishy on Conservatism himself. Part of the problem lingers from the failure of follow up on that surge of Republican power during the Clinton administration. There has been a lingering degradation of trust in the notion of follow-through in those who articulate Conservatism, mainly because when it has been attempted in congress it's been blocked by Democrats and compromise bills have been formed by the squishy centrist Republicans who want to be seen as the "Great Compromisers" who win the day for everyone. We need not only to articulate the principles of Conservatism, but SHOW how it has been applied successfully in every day life, and get Conservative agendas back into the MAINSTREAM consciousness of the Republican congress. To show that we can get legislation passed that supports Conservative principles. Lowering taxes, removing bans on gun ownership, opening up school choice vouchers..., etc.., We also need a Conservative manual. A cleanly expressed statement listing Conservative principles that everyone can easily read and understand. And it MUST be unwavering. Maybe call it the Ten Commandments of Conservatism. Make it a widely known and seen document. Part of the problem with attaining more commonplace understanding is the effort to muddle what Conservatism means. That effort has been made by the left wing media who declare Conservatives as thick headed relics of the past who hate minorities and only support thier rich friends and PACs. The battle to overcome the lies about Conservatism has been waged for years from the edges of the broadcast media systems, web logs, and elite publications. And while headway is slowly being made, it's very slow. What has happened within the political system is that Republicans have been gradually buying the left wing media press. When liberals and Conservatives clash in congress and legislation gets stalled, the press always makes out the Republicans to be villains over it, saying that "the public" wants "something" to be passed or they will be up in arms... and Republicans go squishy and compromise, bend the knee and accept defeat in the form of a fractional victory in order to appease the press so that they will not have nasty stories printed or reported about them. We've got to make it understood by our representatives that we want them to fight not only the Democrats but the press as well, that it is an example of strength and leadership to stand on Conservative principle, even if it means a so-called popular piece of legislation gets shot down over it. Genuine Conservatives are courageous people..., if they are the real article. We've got to make it so that GRIDLOCK means the same as fighting for the people of the country over compromising to the power of the Democrat dictatorship. A whole dynamic needs to be changed in the way elected officials approach thier jobs. I keep thinking of that golden opportunity we missed, when our Republican congress was standing against the Democrats on the bailout bill. Imagine if they had never given in. Imagine the power of that principled Conservative moment winning the day. Imagine if they hadn't squished and agreed to that abomination. It is THAT sort of moment missed time after time after time that is a DIRECT result of the mangled wobbly leadership of people like John McCain who believe that bad legislation is better than none. This is why strength of leadership matters. This is why being a moderate-centrist is predestined failure.

THE WHEELS HAVE COME OFF THE WAGON

A war for the freedom of our nation has been lost. When it became evident last night that Barack Obama had been elected as President of the United States, for the first time in my life my faith in the basic common sense of my country's citizens..., genuinely was destroyed. When I saw the landslide victory that Obama achieved, I felt a sinking in my heart..., not so much because we now have a genuine radical as President.., I believe we can survive this as a nation ( though it will be a struggle)..., but because so many of my fellow citizens were proven to be so deeply ignorant and so politically shallow regarding the dangers of electing a man like Obama to be the leader of the free world. There is simply no excuse in an age of information, when so much knowledge is so readily available at the fingertips of so many people at nearly instantaneous speed , that the electorate should have been so blind to the improbable competency of an Obama administration. This is a genuine problem. It means, despite the long and strident effort to reach people's hearts and minds with facts, common sense, and a fundamental foundational understanding of the principles of economics, national security and sound environmental policies..., the effort failed tremendously.  This is a sensationally disturbing event. It means that a high rift exists between those who look to the future with a carefully studied clarity of the present choices available, and those who base thier calculations for the future on the purely emotional trends of the moment and mood swings pushed and pulled by the manipulative practices of a deeply liberalized news media and educational institution. From a Conservative Movement seat, one has to wonder at what it would take to untangle the masses from the choking vines of a liberal jungle that apparently can not be cut simply with a collective shout of common sense from the wilderness. There is real evidence here that liberal institutions have successfuly marginalized the message of the Conservative base. A reorganization of the grass roots effort to bring straight forward undiluted Conservative principles back to the sole vision of the Republican party needs to be examined. If this had been a very close election, it would be a less dramatic change in course that we need to examine and a more nuanced approach to revitalizing the message of Conservatism. But with the blowout of this election's results , we need to jump in headlong and start ripping away the squishy moderate bi-partisanship that has marked the downfall of the Republican Party. We have been lead as a party , by fear of disengagement from the liberal press, fear of disturbing the liberal segments of the electorate, and lived by the focus group and the opinion poll. The message of this election to the Republican Party is that this approach is an abject failure. God help us, now we have to deal with trying to muddle through a presidency of the most radical liberal ever to hold the office with matching majorities in both houses of congress. We will get through this, but we will have a lot of work to do to unscramble the mess that an Obama administration is going to make.

DEMOCRATS ARE WORRIED - ARE EMPLOYING INTIMIDATION TACTICS

The news media is set to call this election for Obama.  They don't like to have thier opinion polling data discredited by the voting populace, and they want Obama to win no matter what. I heard several news anchors saying they will call it as soon as they get exit polling data, even if you and I are still at the polling stations voting.  They will call it as soon as they can in order to depress as much turnout for McCain as they possibly can. In other words they are ready to jump on board to any flimsy data they get to declare it's over and hope to convince Republicans to stay home. But McCain is not prepared to let them get away with it.  McCain's campaign launched a law suit yesterday in Virginia to demand that absentee military ballots be counted.  The election board had declared that because 10's of thousands of military ballots didn't reach the military personel within 45 days prior to the election that the ballots would not be counted.  These ballots of course would be favorable to McCain since most of the active military voters favor him for President. The point is that this shows that McCain is going to fight for this win.  If we get a close tally, like Florida was for Bush in 2000, McCain will fight for it.  This is good, because there is evidence of the possibility for rampant tampering with results by the left. Also the NAACP lost a law suit in Virginia trying to force changes to the voting regulations that would favor Obama constituents.  That's also a good sign. It's good because it was a fast decision and it was against changing polling station rules at the last minute. That means the Democrats may actaully have to win it legitmately, at least in Virginia.  There is a good chance that the opinion polls up to now showing Obama with a lead have been misleading. I am absolutely convinced, more now than ever before, that McCain can win this if all registered Republicans show up to vote. Republican vote monitors are being forced from polling stations by Democrats who have a majority status in certain districts. That's an indication that the Democrats are SCARED.  They are very very worried that they are going to lose this, so they have abandoned any subterfuge, and are openly intimidating voters.  Obama has done a good job of selling the idea that his voters will get free stuff, free gas, free medicine, free houses, great jobs, if they simply vote for him.  He's got a lot of weak minded people bamboozled which is why it's going to be up to the thinkers, the pragmatists to win this election, over the "feelers" and the emotional voters who don't care if Obama is lying to them.

WHY BOTHER VOTING?

No one can tell you what you think, no one can tell you how to vote, and in this country no one can tell you that your vote doesn't matter.  Right now, all the pundits have declared the election over. They have already decided, based on opinion polls, what states have been won by which candidate. This is nothing but a farce and an attempt to depress voter turnout.  Remember, an opinion poll is not fact. It is opinion based on a how a small sample of  people answers some crafted polling questions.  The only factual data regarding who wins what states in this election is the data from the real ballots marked by the electorate on election day. Until the ballots are counted and the electoral votes officially scored, no one can make any official claim that one state or another is not in contention. Opinion polls count for absolutely nothing at all in our election process. Rassmussen, Gallop, Wall Street Journal, et al.., are not mentioned in the constitution, and while they have a right to print opinion polls they have no right to have thier data be given any measure of trust and validity. Whatever value thier opinion polls are given is solely up to you. Personally I don't consider polls at all. I don't let movie critics decide what movies I'll watch, and I don't let food critics decide what restaurants I'll patronize.  I make my own choices. If you are someone who makes your own decisions in life, then ignore what the pundits want you to believe and go vote for whoever you feel is best. When the President takes the oath of office he swears an oath to defend and uphold the constitution.  As citizens we should do the same. It is our role to defend the vaules and principles that formed this nation as a land free from the tyranny of monarchy and gives every citizen a voice with the ability to choose our leaders.

A VICTORY FOR IGNORANCE - A DANGER FOR EVERYONE

There's nothing more dangerous to our political institutions than ignorant voters. Whether corralled and herded to the voting booth by voter cattle drives as means of mindlessly stuffing the ballot box, or well intentioned citizens who want to do thier civic duty and vote but don't pay attention until 24 hours before election day and only know the candidates by a few quick commercial sound bites. To potentially tip the balance of any election of the leadership of our country based on a mass of ignorant uninformed voters is a genuine shame, especially when it doesn't have to happen that way. Dissemination of facts to the public is what an election campaign should be all about. The rest of it is up to us, the average "informed" citizen standing on a soap box and spreading the news to as many friends and neighbors and associates as possible, and finally to the individual who intends to vote.., to take the steps necessary to learn all they can about the candidates. But we live in a time of instant gratification and an overflow of information coming at us from all angles Where we expect that anything we need to know can be learned in minutes. The age of information has made it imperative to take time. to step back, and try to discern truth, from innuendo, from outright lies.  But today anyone can be made to seem as if they are providing legitimate information because once trustworthy sources of news have become tainted outposts of biased opinion and very few of the politically ignorant people bother to check facts and look for corroboration. Also, with the advent of a massive influx of information, attention spans have dwindled.  There is so much distraction that staying focused is now a real effort. It's become easy to wander off into a maze of misinformation. If Barack Obama ends up winning this election, it will be a victory of ignorance, a triumph of distraction from fact, and evidence that we have a lot of work to do to make politics a more important matter for a large segment of our population.

POLLING DATA - DYING IS OUR ONLY CHOICE

Well, the trend with pundits and pollsters is now this. They say... "If Obama wins...., X.....,( X being whatever state they think will decide it all).... then it's all over. Go home, go to bed, give it up all of you Republicans". So, we are supposed to keep an eye on either Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Virginia..., or whatever..., you name it..., and if we see Obama winning that particular state then we shouldn't bother voting , it's just a waste of time to try, and we should go home and prepare for an Obama presidency. Rassmussen was trying this nonsense today on Fox News, "If Virginia breaks early for Obama.... it's all over"..., he says. Others say, "If Obama wins Pennsylvania it's over", "If Obama wins Florida it's over", and of course none of them think McCain has any chance anyways. So why bother having an election? According to pundits all we need to know is told to us in the current polls. Since the polls are treated the same as if the actual voting has already taken place, lets just average all the opinion polls right now, and give the presidency this afternoon to whoever is ahead, which of course will be Obama. Then we don't have to "waste" our time being involved in our country's future by exercising our constitutional right to vote, we can just let pollsters decide who will win based on the response to thier crafted opinion poll questions. And why stop at the Presidential election? Let's do this for all elections at the state level, as well as elected judges, sheriffs...., Polls for Everyone. We can change the name of our country to Poll-land! This will guarantee that the Democrats win every time in a national election since national polling data is always weighted in favor of Democrats. And since that will be the case, there's no point in any opposition party, so we may as well disband the Republican party, and we may as well stop criticizing anything Democrats do since that won't change the polling data.  Freedom of the press or free speech basically becomes a moot point. And since we would have no control over our destiny, why bother working? The government will be taking care of everything that the old-fashioned idea of independence and free market Capitalism once offered to citizens. So that's it. Then why bother living?  The government under Democrat domination will legalize assisted suicide and make Dr. Jack Kevorkian's death machines available to everyone, and we can just slip out of existence as our country melts down into a socialist cesspool of failing systems that were meant to feed, clothe, house and care for us all from the cradle to the grave. With no incentive to achieve more than mediocrity we will finally fall from being a superpower to being a third world nation that can't afford to sustain itself under an ever increasing tax burden. Isn't this great?  This is basically what we can look forward to ,if we simply put all our faith in pollsters. Personally, I don't care who says "it's over", it isn't over until the votes are counted. They can try to tell me I shouldn't bother voting, but they won't succeed in delivering that sucker punch to "me".  I intend to be the first one in line at my local polling station on election day. And if the pollsters and pundits don't appreciate it, they can know where they can stick thier polling data.

BILL CLINTON PROVED IT..., MORALITY MATTERS

I think character is an imperative part of leadership, and I think it speaks ill of the citizens in general when the press suggests that it doesn't matter to us who Obama allies himself with personally. I recall Bill Clinton's first run at the White House. All the "bimbo eruptions" as they were termed, and how many on the opposing side tried to point out that this is a character flaw that shows he will be an untrustworthy leader.  His supporters told us, "hey it's his personal life, and it's completely separate from professional life, so leave him alone".  Of course we know what happened in the oval office, that we all pay to maintain with our tax money. I think Bill clearly proved if you do it to your wife ( affairs, infidelity), you'll probably do it to the country as well. But that's just one example. How many times has an infidelity , or ( use of call girls as a certain governor is now famous for) ended a political career on the spot?  Quite a lot. While adultery is certainly very bad, associating with people who want to see our government and our allies destroyed, who hate the united states, is even worse.  It's wrong to take the question of morality out of leadership ability. It's key. And I think if a strong enough case can be made, then it definitely should be one of the determining factors in who you will give your vote of trust to. I wrote a little poem here about my views on Obama, and his policies.  I call it The Obama Blues...,

Obama and his friends
have a plan of attack,
My money's going down,
They say it's not coming back...,
Now I've learned it hard,
What they believe,
They're draining the blood
From those who achieve.

I worked and I scraped
To make a good living,
I do my share of
Helping and giving,
But it's never enough
For the left wing vote,
They want what I earn
To keep others afloat.

Joe found out
You can't say a thing
If freedom of speech
means dissing the king,
You'll be run on a rail
Straight out of town
If you don't bow your head
To the Democrat crown.

Pulling it back,
And washing it out,
Fighting for freedom
Is truly in doubt,
When the plan is to stop
As the war's being won,
And meeting our foe
Like a petulant son.

So for goodness sake DON'T VOTE OBAMA!

TURNING THE PAGE ON LIBERALISM - HATE ISN'T HATE WHEN A LIBERAL HATES YOU

They're getting bold. The liberals are slipping and letting thier real plans surface because they sense an Obama victory and they think that means socialism is the wave of the future. This may be even more dangerous than suspected. An Obama presidency will be used by liberals as an excuse to claim a national mandate to socialize healthcare, energy companies, home ownership, ban fatty foods, extend the waiting period for gun ownership to 90 days.., and it goes on and on. It seems like, once Obama slipped and let the cat out of the bag with Joe The Plumber, liberals got all excited about hoping on the bandwagon. This can't be a good trend. An Obama win could realistically signal the start of a disasterous social experiment via a liberal congress taking advantage of dislike for Bush as a mandate for the extreme opposite. I have an inherent trust in the goodness of... and generally the wisdom of... the vast majority of our country's population. Yet there is no doubt that an aging baby boom generation with significant segments raised without the sorts of ethics thier parents or grandparents had been raised with is so focused on "themselves" that they may not be looking very far down the road.  It will take those of us who are focused on the future to bring those of us who are focused only on the present to thier senses, and we may have to drag "them" metaphorically into the controlling seats of government. It boggles the mind in astounding ways to conceive of the notion that anyone familiar with Obama's fiscal record and stated goals would look to him as the answer for a struggling economy. Everyone has been told, by the Republicans and Conservatives, from every venue, of the dangers of an Obama presidency, but if we are to believe the opinion polls, a large enough segment simply don't care. They are trained to know only one thing, whatever party is in Power during a presidential election must be tossed out if the economy has problems. It's like an inbred DNA program. It doesn't matter that the "other" party might be worse, it's all about decades of political programming. So, what can "we" the people do..., in these remaining days to bring the light of knowledge shining down on the less intuitive members of the population. That "may" be an impossible task. To overcome decades of programming in a matter of days is a tall order. We bring out evidence of the truth for those whose senses have been dulled by decades of liberal exposure, but they've been trained by the media, colleges, whatever.. to be skeptical of anything that smacks of Conservative values. The problem is leadership. There are no universally respected national figures who are decrying an Obama presidency. The icons of our society are mostly trash. When you have Oprah and The View setting the tone for daytime talk, when you have sports figures and whole teams tied up in scandals, when you have the hollywood left producing trash that trashes the US, when you have a political party with a moderate tone that seeks compromise and bi-partisanship at the expense of foundational principle.., "where" is a powerful national figure who can grab the attention of the country who will set the record straight on Obama, national defense and socialism? Changing minds at the grass roots is a long process. The NEW media is pouring out the truth every day, we are all desperately trying to make it understood that we face a seminal moment in our history as to how we approach governance of the country. I'm not sure that there is much more we can do. It may be a generational change that is the only way to really fix this. Kids growing up and seeing the self destructive behavior of the irrational ideals of liberalism and of living only for the moment. AND ONE MORE THING... You know that outrageous Halloween display showing an effigy of Sarah Palin hanging by a noose? Where is the same outrage in the press who were all upset over the "false" accusations that McCain/Palin rallies where fomenting hate? Why aren't they harping on a real display of genuine hate with the same eagerness? And where is the rabid investigation into this guy's past who put up the display, any outstanding taxes, any personal problems, what he does for a living and where he works, his political affiliations.... just like those dirt sniffing pigs did to Joe the Plumber? Where is it? We know press outrage simply is not there when the Republican candidate is the target of hate because of the same old double standard the press has held for decades. When liberals engage in open displays of hate it's never called "hate" it's simply lauded and defended by the press as free speech.

THE LAST GASP OF THE NEW YORK TIMES

Newspapers, such as the New York Times, are agenda driven and they attempt to shape opinion with thier choice of stories, they do not let events determine what is news worthy. The constantly declining circulation proves that they are sinking to feeding an ever tightening niche audience of radicals who expect partisan attacks on any political issue rather than fair and balanced and truthful reporting. They print for thier spoon fed audiences and not for the wide open masses. The new media, the blogosphere, talk radio, XM, newsletters that cater to individual tastes, and networks like Fox News that are not driven by an inside agenda but rather by delivering a factual accounting of the  events of the day or the week..., have served to cut down once giant news media machines like the NY Times to the point where they only appeal to thier own rigidly ideological readership.  The Audit Bureau of Circulations reports that the daily version of the NY Times is at a current circulation of 1,077,256 which is down from the previous year, and they continue to sink.

Now, on to the latest attacks on Sarah Palin. At a recent fund raising event she said the following ;

"We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, pro-America areas of this great nation. This is where we find the kindness and the goodness and the courage of everyday Americans. Those who are running our factories and teaching our kids and growing our food and are fighting our wars for us. Those who are protecting us in uniform. Those who are protecting the virtues of freedom."

For this innocent statement she has been ridiculed, derided, and in general attacked as she always is by the politically motivated left wing press for every statement she makes on anything at all.  The mistake Sarah made here, and always makes,  is that she forgets she's not allowed to express her own opinion.  Her opinion of what makes America great must  match the views of the left wing press, or she's ridiculed as a rube from an outland of snowblind posers. Well, Sarah said it herself back at her convention speech, she's not going to DC to please the media.  And we love that attitude in her. We love it when the liberal press is flummoxed and angry and panicked and flabergasted at Sarah, because it exposes them for the hyper-partisan yellow dog Democrats they are, as they attempt to hide behind a window dressing of impartiality and fairness. Sarah is absolutely correct to point out that some areas of our country produce a higher ratio of openly displayed genuine patriotism than others. We all know, even the liberal press knows..., that there are rabid anti-American hate mongers foaming at the mouth in all sorts of places around our country.  Barack Obama could introduce you to several of the more prominent ones since he has allied himself with some of the most vicious examples. We have been long exposed to the inbred hatered of middle America by the liberals of this country who think that the average American is a racist, redneck ingnoramus... as that fumble-mouthed idiot congressman John Murtha recently expressed. The entire Democrat leadership on Captiol Hill could easily be declared a gaggle of facist anti-American anti-patriotic narcissists. They held our troops in Iraq hostage time after time by fighting against success, against funding, and deriding the effort at every turn.  It's about time we have some courageous political figure like Governor Palin to point out that this country does have a distinct lack of patriotism in some circles. We already know this is the truth, but it takes a real leader to state fearlessly that fact in an open forum in front of a hostile media. Sarah has what it takes to do that. Frankly we'd all be much better off with  a President Palin than a President Obama or a President Biden.
