THE MEDIA WOOD CHIPPER IS CLOGGED WITH THE BONES OF OBAMA'S CRITICS

It's kind of funny, but mostly frightening.  Joe Wurzelbacher , often called "Joe the plumber"  because he works for a plumbing and heating company, has become a national icon for what's wrong with the Obama campaign. You have seen the attacks on Joe since he became the definition of the difference between McCain and Obama, the assaults on Joe's tax problems, accusations of not being a real plumber, how Obama says it's unrealistic to think of a plumber making over 250k. The attacks on Joe are the deliberate and savage work of the Obama camp and thier willing assassination teams in the liberal news media. Do you know..., that the media and the Obama camp have caused a situation which may shut down the company that Joe works for? In the course of digging like wild eyed ferral dogs on a search for a way to crucify Joe and turn him into an evil creature, the dirt sniffing hogs in the media discovered that the company  Joe works for didn't insist that Joe have a state accredited journeyman's or apprenticeship license.  Well, guess what?  "Somehow" ( ...we can guess how...) that news was carried to the Toledo Plumbing Board Of Control and now the board says they are considering sanctions against Newell Plumbing & Heating and Joe himself.  This is the Palin attack sydrome all over again.  Anyone who represents Real America in opposition to Obama must be destroyed by Obama and his cohorts in the media, in order to silence them.  The real story with Joe, is the resulting attempt to hide, bury, cloak, and deflect Obama's absolutely socialist slip of the tongue as Obama accidentally exposed more of his own true nature and agenda than he wanted to while responding to Joe's question about why he should be taxed more if he wants to run a plumbing business that could make over 250k a year. This is amazing.  We got a glance, for just a minute..., on live television... at the REAL OBAMA... and when they realized what happened, the liberal media and Obama's campaign crew let out a long loud scream of horror in thier dark cloistered back rooms realizing that WE might actually figure out what Obama really intends. The carefully crafted, molded and painted tin foil image of Obama as a reformer was shredded by Obama himself temporarily as he uttered the now famous phrase "we need to spread the wealth around" in regard to why he wants to raise taxes. So the media scramble to cart Joe the plumber off into the night and dispose of him in a bloody wood-chipper ensued at a fever pitch.  God help us all, if Obama becomes president.  We will no longer be free to oppose tin horn socialists like Obama without fear of having the collective body of the socialism adoring media coming after us with thier dogs and machine guns. If anything can be said to come close in current times on a national scale in our country to reminding us of Nazi Germany, it's the hate filled incarnation of the modern left wing press.

OBAMA ADMITS HIS FEAR OF FOX NEWS

Fox News was launched in 1996 as a competitor to CNN.  Today, according to the polling agency Rasmussen Reports, 87% of people who regularly view Fox News say they favor voting for McCain.  65% of CNN's viewers say they will vote Democrat. 63% of  MSNBC viewers are leaning toward Obama.  According Neilsen Ratings..., Fox News Channel averages about 2.2 million viewers quarterly, CNN averages about 1.3 million, MSNBC about 867 thousand.  According to Newsmax , in an interview that will run this weekend in the NY Times magazine, Obama rips Fox News as he says "“I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls,” , "Because the way I’m portrayed 24/7 is as a freak. I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?"

Well, now.  Isn't this interesting?  First, it's plainly obvious that Obama fears Fox News because it has the highest ratings and audience share of any cable news network and isn't biased in favor of him. Therefore, the truth might actually slip out about Obama on Fox News, and that just can't be tolerated by Obama. Obama must be able to manipulate the news media, and if he can't, then he attacks it.  But , beyond that, his comment shows that he has some startling biases of his own.  He believes you and I and everyone else who tunes into Fox News has a problem with people who drive Volvo's....?, that's an odd thing to pick on...., and we have a problem somehow with people who don't own a gun...?... a bizarre conclusion ...., and God forbid we encounter someone sipping a latte, that just drives us into the red zone..., which is an enitrely ignorant thought on his part.  And do you really care if Obama reads the NY Times?  I don't care what he reads.  And, is he "portrayed as a freak by Fox?" , absolutley not.   Now, yes, I do have a problem with people who are arrogant and liberal and politically correct.  Looking at his comment, I think this is how he seems himself.  No one knows better than Obama, what he is. His use of the word "freak" is probably the most telling.  This smacks of VERY high insecurity. To paint with a broad brush 2.2 million people as seeing him as a Freak simply because Fox News is not biased, shows that he is angry, bitter, and self conscious.

IT'S SO SIMPLE.... SO VERY VERY SIMPLE...

All this talk by Obama and Company about a 250K threshold is Class envy warfare. It's so clear, so plain, so easy to see I don't know why anyone gives his plan any credence. He basically SAID IT when he told Joe the plumber why he wanted to raise his taxes. Now..,HERE is what I really wish McCain to say... "we want everyone to make more than 250K, we want 250K to be the commonplace standard, with no limit to the heights.., we want everyone to have a Bill Gates type of success story... and that can happen!! There's only one thing stopping you. There's a hand gripping your arm and pulling you down, turning you bodily away from those heights and telling you that the only people who reach those heights are people who don't deserve to be there and need to be punished... but if you manage to break away from Obama's grip and climb up to that great success story, Obama will be right behind you chasing you and your family and your children with a club in his hand called the tax code that he wants to bludgeon your entire family with! The Republicans want to stop Obama and take that club away from him and tell him he can't stop you. We want to take the obstacles out of your way and show you the stairway up." McCain needs to articulate the great opportunities that everyone has the possibility of reaching as long as theives like Obama are not permitted to stand in your way and tie an anchor to your leg and toss you into the ocean so that you stay at the bottom.

OBAMA AWARENESS MONTH...

I've noticed that almost every topic and subject matter now has an "Awareness Month". So, I thought , why not have an "Obama" awareness month?  Therefore, I am declaring that this month is "National Obama Is An Empty Suit Awareness Month". If you are someone who wears a suit regularly please be sure to carry an extra "empty" suit around with you this month in order to focus awareness on this important subject matter. Communities are encouraged to organize "Empty" rallies where you can donate an empty suit to your local ACORN chapter manager to be distributed to all the empty spaces occupied by the voters they have registered who don't exist. A spokesperson for the New York City branch of ACORN which is called the "Volunteer Organization for Mobilizing Indigent Turnout" (VOMIT) said today they have registered 500 homeless street vagrants as Democrats and urged them to the polls for Obama. ACORN executive Ahma Lyre, the Senior Manager in charge of hiding Obama's connections with ACORN said they would be happy to donate any empty "Obama suits" they receive to VOMIT as an incentive for thier indigent voter drive. In a statement released this morning, Lyre said the following;

"We need to work together as fraud inciters and scheming liars to insure that Barack Obama has a massive support network of stupefied homeless drunks, burned out drug addicts, corpses, convicts, cartoon characters and unverifiable polling data to prop him up all the way to the White House. He promised us that we would be setting the agenda for his administration and we intend to carry him there no matter how much fraud we need to commit. We will work with "President" Obama on reshaping this country into a social playground for our liberal indoctrination agenda."

So let's make sure everyone is "aware" this month that Obama's real record is one of radical social activism, alliance with fraud-manipulating community organizations and terror sympathizers, with a real congressional track of vote avoidance and lack of leadership.

By the way... Where oh where has Senator Biden gone? We've been hearing a lot lately from the media about Sarah and the allegedly hate-filled rallies full of rabble rousing peasants with torches and pitchforks..., but an ominous emptiness from the Biden front. Could he have been proving to be a bit of a liability to THE ONE? Have Obama's poll numbers been rattled by the nonsense from Biden's mouth? McCain should have asked him about that at the Debate.  I suspect Obama daily regrets having selected Biden as his running mate.

THERE'S ONLY ONE THING LEFT TO DO.....

In the final debate before election day Senator McCain did a fairly good job of forcing Senator Obama to talk about some subjects he'd rather not discuss.  He forced Obama to explain his relationship with Ayers, his involvement with ACORN, his encounter with "Joe" the plumber, his choice not to vote on the bill protecting infants from being killed after a failed abortion attempt, parsing his stance against late term abortion by challenging him on the words "health"... of the mother... as an exception, challenging him on the words... "look at"... regarding his view on expanding offshore drilling. A problem for McCain during the debate was his lackluster follow-up on Obama after Obama gave weak replies to those challenges.  McCain also tried to separate himself from Obama on tax policy.  He did fairly good on that too, except... McCain also talked about his own plan for using billions in taxpayer money to fund refinancing of home mortgages that are in default. McCain was more forceful than in prior debates in his verbal reprimands of Obama, but he didn't quite close the deal. McCain doesn't quite have the speaking prowess of Obama, and next to Obama looked stilted and a bit uncomfortable. Also, McCain feels he has a reputation to guard, as a "Maverick", and a uniter of parites, so he held back a bit on some of things he could have jumped on.  Bottom line is that McCain is not the best debater in congress. He scored some points in this debate, but I'm not sure he was able to swing additional voters in his direction.

Now, get ready.  The debates are over, so the news media no longer has any "obligation" to cover McCain and therefore can revert to full liberal bias mode without caring if they're criticized for it. For the next few weeks all you will see is Obama.., everywhere. Any look at McCain or Palin will be a glance,  a footnote in the media. Some of the big name DC insider Conservative pundits have already thrown in the towel and are giving up on McCain. If you saw the FOX panel discussion after the debate, even Bill Kristol ( founder of the mainly conservative Weekly Standard magazine), one of McCain's and Sarah Palin's biggest cheerleaders.... sat there with a half frown on his face as he declared Obama the winner of the debate. Fred Barnes and Charles Krauthammer , both Conservative political analysts, also were down on McCain's chances after this debate as they also declared Obama the winner.  Look for people in all wakes of the media to ease up to Obama in order to place themselves in position to garner a seat and a pole position at the news media table of an Obama administration.  Don't be too surprised to see that the only people left to make the case that a McCain / Palin ticket is far better than an Obama/Biden ticket, are you and I, the new media blogosphere, and some of the strong Conservative media voices who don't care if they get snubbed by Obama, those probably would include Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh, Neil Cavuto, and my personal favorite Fox News judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano who should be on the supreme court, in my humble opinion. So it will be a very rocky ride to the finish line. The goal now is to stay alert against all attempts to drive down the vote count on the Republican side with overwhelmingly biased reporting favoring Obama, including polls commissioned and designed to show Obama as an unbeatable favorite.  The truth is, Obama, when properly exposed..., should not be a difficult candidate to beat.  WE have a difficult candidate to carry, in the form of John McCain.  Personally, I don't care much about McCain becoming President. I don't look forward to it, and I know many movement Conservatives share that disappointment in McCain's politics. Still, he's  far, far better than having Obama in the White House. I do , however, want VERY much to have Sarah Palin positioned in the starting line up for the Presidency as a Republican candidate. A win for McCain will get her into that spot. She is a game changer in the inner struggle for the soul of the Republican party and I believe is a resounding positive influence on shifting the leftward sliding ideology of the Republican leadership back to a winning Conservative foundation. A Palin administration would restore the legacy that Reagan bequeathed to the Republican Party.  So break out the coffee and the energy drinks, stay pumped for election day, and forget about the mainstream media political news for now.  It's actually irrelevant unless McCain or Obama makes a huge blunder between now and election day.  Without that, the news will be fully predictable and almost all of it in favor of Obama, so why torture ourselves with watching Obama lap dogs wagging thier tails while he balances dog treats on thier noses?  Let's just get to the polls and get McCain/Palin elected.

WIPING THE FLOOR WITH OBAMA....

Given his past mediocre performances in debates with Obama, I think Senator McCain needs a little help in coming up with a kicker of a sound bite that will echo all the way through to election day. Here are my 5 kicker comments which I'd like to hear Senator McCain say to Senator Obama at tonight's debate...,

5.-  Denying your connections to radical community organizations? Oh come now Senator Obama, we all know the ACORN doesn't fall far from the tree...

4. - It must be a bumpy ride for your campaign Senator Obama considering all the people you've thrown under the bus.

3. - When it comes to negotiating with leaders who sponsor terror, it seems Senator Obama practices what he preaches, he has already sat down with William Ayers face to face without preconditions.

2. - Senator Obama, we've heard about your plan to raise the taxes of our nation's plumbers, you should be giving them a break Senator since your tax plan will cause more citizens to watch more of thier money going down the drain.

1. - You can call your plans for the country whatever you like Senator, but there's no hiding the truth , you can't put lipstick on a socialist.

OBAMA "APPRECIATES" YOUR HARD WORK

Most people by now have heard Barack Obama's comment to the over taxed plumber who questioned why his tax rates should go up. obama replied "It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. The plan is to spread the wealth around.".  according to CBS Obama then continued..."“I’m gonna cut taxes a little bit more for the folks who are most in need and for the 5% of the folks who are doing very well - even though they’ve been working hard and I appreciate that – I just want to make sure they’re paying a little bit more in order to pay for those other tax cuts,”. So..., Obama appreciates the hard work of those who make over 250 thousand?  That's a load of steaming donkey manure. He has in fact shown exactly the opposite, promoting dividng the country into "us" versus "them" based on who makes a certain income.  Obama needs everyone to believe, as Obama himself does, that this plumber earns too much money, and that he doesn't deserve to keep what he manages to end up with after taxes.  He needs to be axed even more, and then that extra money that Obama takes from the plumber needs to be redistributed by Obama to whoever "he" thinks deserves it more. Well, Senator Obama,  you POMPOUS THIEVING LIBERAL, you know NOTHING about the people of this country. You know zip, zero, goose egg, nada, empty-set. Your socialist plans of increasing the amount of money the government is taking by force of law... and redistributing... from the hard working  people of our country is without any merit at all.  The hard working people of this country are more generous with thier money to those less fortunate than themselves , than you, Senator Obama, could ever hope to be in your lifetime using a bottomless supply of tax money you pried from the wallets and purses of those who earned it.  Listen up Senator Obama. In 2007 the total giving to charitable organizations from the American people was 306 billion.  Individuals or household donors gave over 229 billion dollars, and , Senator, those corporations you want to soak donated over 15 billion dollars to charity.  The United States of America is the most generous nation on earth by individual giving, not by government socialism. The amount of money we, as individual citizens, have given to those in need is enough to put 15 thousand dollars in the hand of each of 200 million people. So we don't need your plans for giving away money to people in order for you to buy thier votes, we don't need your plans of taking away money from some earners and giving it to others..., cutting taxes for all earners will put more money in everyone's pocket, but you don't like that idea.  We don't need  "you" ... as President because we don't live in communist China or the USSR.

OBAMA SEEKS TO BRING BACK SEGREGATION

When you think of the word Segregation, it probably conjures up images of grave social injustice. Images of a country divided against itself , with fear and loathing as the rule, steeped in the hatred of those who are different. It has taken our country decades to grow beyond the idea of segregation as a right and normal function of our government and society to see it as the debilitating and destructive force it was. But now, Barack Obama wants it restore the days of national segregation. He wants to lift it up in the places where it died and restore it to it's former power.  Instead of segration through skin color, he wants the old loathing and hatred of the days of segregation to come back based on incomes above 250 thousand dollars. McCain should jump on this right away.  He , or Sarah Palin should go on national televsion and should say..."I don't think we should discriminate against any people who legitimately earn money and pay taxes in this country. Segregating our country on the basis of how much money a person earns is reminiscent of segregating people based on skin color. When Senator Obama talked about his grandmother feeling worried when she saw black people walking toward her on the street, well, he wants YOU to feel the same way but with regard to people of a different income rather than skin color..., when you see a person who has found success in this country Obama wants you to fear them, to distrust them, to see them as somehow sinister and plotting against you. He wants to divide you so that he can control your loyalty. We need to praise success, we need to embrace the open market, and free enterprise and reward those who succeed by not draining that success away with hateful tax policies. Yes, friends, I said hateful. One of the primary reasons Obama is making this case that people above a 250 thousand income should have taxes raised is in order to define for you who you should hate, who you should be jealous of, and who you should feel desires of punishment against. That is antithetical to what our country is all about. We need to lower taxes for all income earners who pay it. Growth comes from an abundance of capital and commerce, not from hateful restrictive tax policies"...., .........      If McCain would say something like this he would be able to bring into definition and clarity what is perhaps the biggest difference in economic approach to the governance of the country.

TWO CASINOS - AND YOU WILL LOSE AT BOTH

How much of a gambler are you?  A gambler who knows what he's doing never sits down at a table unless he knows the game inside and out, understands the odds, and is willing to lose his wager. A presidential election is like gambling at the blackjack table in Vegas. Except the odds on drawing a winning hand are a lot longer, and the stakes are the future of the country, not just the cash you happen to have at hand. The presidential campaigns are the owners of the casinos trying to lure you in. At the end of the day, one casino will close up for good, the other will stay in business.  You can go in and play thier games, but unlike the possibilities in a real casino, even if you win... you still lose. If you win by keeping your chosen casino in business, the casino still takes money from you.., it may take more than before, or it may take less, but you will always give up something in the form of tax. You can pull out of a blackjack game, if you find yourself losing. There's no pulling out of the game after an election. You are in it for at least 4 years, unless you move to another country. Ultimately, your only choices come down to, what percentage of your money will these casinos take from you, and what will they do with that money. These are both questions that tie directly into the moral compass of the individuals running the casinos. Considering that the stakes are so much higher, Would you use at least the same level of caution..., that you would approach a game of poker or any game of chance..., with how you approach electing a Presidential candidate? To some people ,shockingly, that answer is no. They're star-struck by the flashy neon sign, they're distracted by the floor show, they get thier free drinks, and that's all it takes. They don't care about the past performance of their casino. They don't care what shady characters are behind the scenes or what is done with the money the casino takes from them. They're not interested in how lax the security system is, not concerned about what dangerous people in the world might be plotting an attack on them. They're having a good time, and that's all that matters. This is the Obama/Biden campaign.  It's all about distraction. It's all about the floor show, and the drunken revelry of feel-good empty rhetoric.  So, what about the McCain/Palin campaign? What are they doing in thier casino? is there any difference? Yes. This casino has a record that it doesn't try to hide. The owners are not shady people with questionable connections, and have offered to take far less from you than that other casino wants to take, and have your personal safety as one of thier primary concerns. I wanted to make this analogy to point out that knowing the track record and the character of the people behind the scenes is important. Questioning Obama's links with Rezko, Ayers, Wright, and ACORN, is key to determining trust in leadership. The attempt is being made right now to try to drain the topic of morality out of the election. Almost all the pundits now are trying to convince the electorate that past associations are not important, only the ideas of the moment are important, that a person's moral choices in thier personal life is not a reflection of thier ability to make the right choices for an entire nation of people.  But the examination of all the candidate's past associations is in fact highly relevant when selecting a leader on this scale. It's vital to be clear on what motivates the candidate to make a decision.  The attempt to steer the discussion away from Obama's past connections is part of the campaign of deflection and deceit. Nobody should be buying the media line that it's only a distraction from the issues. Character and morality is itself an issue, and the attempt to sweep it under the rug is the distraction.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF MCCAIN LOSES.... AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT

No one likes the "what if"... game, when it comes to politics, especially when it's "what if my candidate loses?"  If the McCain/Palin ticket loses, McCain goes back to the senate, Sarah Palin goes back to bringing her full attention to the governorship of Alaska.  Obama will be sworn into office, and the possibility exists that he will have a democrat majority in the House and Senate.  Taxes will go up, a liberal judge will likely be added to the Supreme Court, leaders of terrorist nations will dust off thier diplomatic guest seats and propaganda machines for a visit from President Obama, health care will be pronounced a "right" rather than a privilege and some form of universal health care will pass congress requiring a huge tax increase to fund it, Iran will prepare to reignite the insurgency in Iraq as US troops are pulled out prematurely and Iran will test fire it's first ICBM, the tax cuts Bush signed into law will be permitted to expire causing a lowering of available investment capital and an increase in the loss of jobs, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Pelosi, Reid, et al..., will continue to keep thier positions on committees and in leadership roles continuing to sour the country on the role of congress as they continue thier destructive policies, and so much more..., but we will ultimately survive it.  And, it will be incumbent upon us.., the people , to make sure that their debilitating policies are kept visible, that the country knows on a daily basis the damage they are doing, and that the spin doctors don't get away with putting a positive spin on it. We will also need to resurrect Conservatism in the Republican Party.  The weak-kneed drift into the middle-left  out of fear of media attacks for being Conservative and from a world view that looks at being Conservative as a weakness that excludes other ideologies from Republican politics has got to be refocused on solid Conservative planks.  We've got to revitalize the understanding that the Party must stand for clear principles not the muddy "everyone is right" belly flop that tries to draw in the biggest range of people at the expense of a directive based on restoring the founding principles of our country.  This includes supporting fresh new Conservative candidates at the grass roots level.  We will need to lift up the people who share our values and point them in the direction of this country's leadership.  I believe McCain/Palin will win this election if every registered Republican gets to the polls on election day.  But we also need to be prepared for action on the possibility we do not win.

THE POLLS - THE BOTTOM LINE SHOWS IT A LOT CLOSER

The poll with the widest spread, Newsweek's Poll , shows Obama with an 11 point lead over McCain.  I just looked at that poll's details.  Here's what Newsweek's polling data actually shows.  They play around with a lot of demographic data , alot of what if's, trends, etc..., but if you look at the bottom line in this poll,  if the election were held today , Newsweek's poll breaks down like this among registered voters;

Republicans for McCain/Palin - 89
Democrats for McCain/Pailn - 5
Independents for McCain/Palin - 45

Total registered among these voters for McCain/Palin - 139

Republicans for Obama/Biden - 7
Democrats for Obama/Biden - 91
Independents for Obama/Biden - 43

Total registered among these voters for McCain/Palin - 141

Newsweek Poll ( http://www.newsweek.com/id/163337)

A difference of TWO points, Not eleven points.  This is why people should not jump to conclusions and simply accept the end number that comes out of these polls.  Polling data conclusions mix in demographics and questions that go beyond the bottom line.

As of today,  10/11/2008  the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll shows only a 4 point difference between Obama and McCain. ( http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE49911I20081011)

Poll numbers are used by media and pundits to deflate voters, and drive down expectations for one or the other candidate.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again now, forget all the polls. Polls and polling agencies and spin doctors play games with polling numbers all day long in order to achieve an effect.  Polling data doesn't actually mean anything unless it's the polling data coming out of the official tally on election day this Novemeber.  Even now the Obama camp is figuring in polling data as a depressant on Republican voters but if every Republican/Conservative gets to the polling booth and votes McCain/Pailn,  it virtually guarantees this election goes to McCain.

IT'S TIME TO SHUT DOWN THE OBAMA WASHING MACHINE

Okay.  Hold on tight. The media, and even Fox News, is condemning McCain for pointing out the truth about Obama's anti-American friends, mentors and associates.  It's "pathetic", they tell us. It's "beneath the dignity of McCain", they tell us.  It's a sad desperation move, they tell us.  "We"...,  that's you and I in the vast mix of citizens thought of as the average folks, the regular guys..., "won't fall for it"...,  they tell us.  "We" , are smarter than that, they tell us.  So, please refer to the following instructions.  Report to your local hospital and schedule a frontal lobotomy quickly. The press, the media, and the elite punditry of our country are now the arbiters of what "We" think, of what "We" know, and of how "We" interpret facts. Or, at least they want you to believe that.

The clarion call to the public to take notice of Barack Hussein Obama's ( yes... I used his middle name, if you don't like that then go read something else...) connection to domestic terrorist William Ayers...., is working. How do we know this?  Because Obama is upset, his campaign managers are angry, and he's responding to the ads. What has Obama said in response? Here it is
"The notion that somehow he [AYERS] has been involved in my campaign, that he is an adviser of mine, that he -- I've palled around with a terrorist, all these statements are made simply to try to score cheap political points,"

But, Barack... you didn't deny the truth of your close relationship with Ayers. You "can't" deny it, because it's proven fact that even after you knew of his involvement with the terror group called Weathermen, you continued to meet with him and work with him.  This, all by itself, would have automatically forced ANYONE else to quit the campaign due to the sheer disgrace, ignominy, and anti-American nature of it.  But not Obama. NO, he showed no desire to disconnect himself from Ayers when it benefited him to have that relationship. And now he presumes it doesn't matter to us in this election , because the mighty Obama has waved his hand in a dismissive manner at the notion that he has ties to Ayers and that a wave of his mighty hand should be good enough to wave away all our concerns.  And as far as our country's media cares..., those anchors , reporters and pundits who pompously dare to call themselves objective... ,  anyone who still questions that alliance between Obama and Ayers is now measured for a straight jacket and relegated to the local asylum for the disturbed.

This means that it's working very , very well. The Obama Ayers connection is the one the Obama campaign wanted buried the deepest. This is why we need to keep that festering skeleton out in the open and not let them bury it under all the cloaks in the back of the closet. The Ayers connection has a stench that permeates Obama's entire career. It clarifies who Obama is. It helps us understand why he sat for 20 years in the church of a Pastor who vomited his hate for the country into the pews of his congregation. It rolls the microscope lens into position over Obama's head and let's us see into his method of thinking. This is terrifying to the Obama campaign because they've known all along who Obama really is, what he really is, and having been trying everything they could to hide it.  An Obama presidency is a direct threat to the safety and stability and reputation of the United States.

WHAT MCCAIN COULD HAVE DONE...

Senator McCain had a great opportunity to teach a large segment of the public a lesson in the real causes of the housing market slump. He had the opportunity to point out that the Democrats were trying to obfuscate thier own culpability by playing the traditional class warfare game and redirecting the blame to a vaguely defined "greed on Wall Street" as the boogeyman. He had the chance to point out that it was not de-regulation of financial markets that caused this problem, but it was precisely "bad regulation" of quasi public entities called FreddieMac and FannieMae in concert with bad legislation forcing loan eligibility to be determined by impossibly low standards, and all of it protected by Barney Frank who declared "''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis. The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.''. McCain had the chance to point out that House Republicans introduced a bill in 2005 that would have reigned in the sick practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but it was dead on arrival in the Senate because it lacked enough votes in the closely divided party line Senate to prevent Democrats from filibustering it. He had the opportunity to point out that top recipients of campaign contributions from these horribly mismanaged lending agencies included Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi. There was a lot that I wished he had said, that he didn't. I wasn't overly impressed with the debate.  There was little excitement, very little new from the candidates. Obama delivered his usual set of half truths and innuendo about McCain while deflecting discussion of critical problems with his proposed tax hikes, playing the same old tried worn out class warfare card declaring people who have succeeded financially as villains and everyone else as victims. McCain had a great line when he said he wanted a spending freeze across the board in all federally funded programs, God bless him for that.., and Obama naturally criticized that..., saying he would use a scalpel to stop spending in certain areas, which of course means he wants to increase spending in many places, which of course is fodder for his desire to raise taxes. Obama with a scalpel, that's a frightening image. He's the last person I'd ever trust to perform surgery. I would like to have seen McCain force Obama to talk about Richard Ayers, and his connections with ACORN, and his choice not to wear a US flag lapel pin, and his comment about bitter people clinging to guns and religion, how Biden questioned Obama's judgment when he said that Hillary might have been a better pick than himself for VP and how unfortunate it was that Obama passed up the opportunity to help women break that final glass ceiling, and how Obama supported a bill to educate kindergartners about sexually transmitted diseases, and how it could be that he had no knowledge of the hateful anti-American rhetoric spewed by his own pastor for 20 years while he attended that church. But, he didn't bring those topics up, unfortunately. Overall, McCain had the edge on experience and knowledge. I think that came through clearly.  McCain was good. But I also feel he could have done better.

MCCAIN HAS TO SELL TONIGHT - HE HAS TO SELL THE TRUTH TO THE PUBLIC

One of the typical problems with McCain's stump speeches is thier tendancy to become flaccid. Actually, today he was rather lively. He had some of that energy and tenacity showing through , like those images we all saw of him carrying his bags by himself through the airport during the primaries as he pressed forward with his campaign even when he couldn't afford to maintain a campaign staff. Look, the one thing McCain has in great abundance is personal courage... ( though it would have been nice to see some of that come through by defying the bailout bill)..., and if I had to choose who I wanted on my side in a fight, I'd choose McCain at his 72 years of age over the much younger Obama any day. Can you picture a boxing match between those two?  Obama would be down in the first round.  John McCain is an enigma.  As Conservatives, we are perpetually flabbergasted at the times when he leans left and becomes essentially a Democrat, yet we love his patriotism and his reverence of the military , his sacrifices for the country, his pro life stance, his distaste for overspending..., and then we scratch our heads at his desire to consult Al Gore on how to approach global warming. Maverick isn't quite the right word for it. He doesn't see himself as owing loyalty to a political party, and often bristles at the notion that he might be on the wrong side of an issue.  He's stubborn, independent, and loyal to what he feels is the best interest of the country.  Not a Conservative, not a Liberal, but he's not in the middle either.  When he goes in one direction or the other, he goes all the way.  That's actually a comforting thought in one respect. McCain is not wishy-washy, he is confident in his ability to choose the best course of action even if all the rest of us might have a problem with the choice he made. A leader must have confidence in his ( or her) ability to lead.  I know McCain has that. He's always had that. I've seen nothing of that in Obama. The other thing we can say without fear of contradiction is that McCain is honest about his position , regardless of who disagrees with him. He has fair reasons to back up his positions, even if there might be better reasons he should "not"be taking that position, such as the McCain Feingold bill..., McCain-Kennedy bill...etc.  So, McCain has self confidence, a proven ability to lead, and honesty. He also has the experience in world affairs.  Obama strikes out on all four of those.  John McCain was never my first choice as Republican candidate for President, but he's a far better runner up than Barack Obama.  McCain doesn't have to do a lot to sell himself, most people have heard of him and know more about him than the other sitting Senators.  But he does have to sell something tonight at the debate.  He needs to strip the varnish off Obama and lay bare the real product underneath. He needs to expose the real danger of an Obama presidency and sell that danger to the public. He needs to do it by sharply contrasting what he would do to protect the country, the economy, and our social values with how Obama would destroy those things.  McCain is capable of making the sale, if  he simply gets past his desire to have liberals love him.  I think he's getting to that point. All during his campaign he's been trying hard to prove he does not have a temper, to prove his critics wrong about his quick fuse.  Well, tonight he needs to let a little of that temper lose, in a positive way, to show his passion for leading this country in the right direction and for driving home the point that Obama will lead us into a train wreck.

REZKO, WRIGHT, AYERS, ACORN - NAIL THEM DOWN!

All the pseudo-intellectual pundits and  news media anchors are saying that Obama's connections to Rezko, Ayers, Wright, and ACORN are irrelevent and talking about them will redound negatively for McCain/Palin.  Stick to the issues... they say.  The only thing that people care about is our country's economy, ...they say.   So, the press insists McCain and Sarah Palin only talk about... what the media experts want them to talk about.  Now, that's just very odd. If you think about this. If the press, who are in bed with Obama, are seeing real evidence that talking about Obama's deranged associations and friends and coworkers will impact McCain in a bad way..., why would they want to warn McCain of that?  Shouldn't they be standing back and allowing McCain to make that BIG mistake and fall flat on his face as a result?   Who, Who, Who ( my impression of an owl...) is such a blank mind that he can honestly listen to Obama say that he had no knowledge of Rezko's criminal behavior, no knowledge of Ayer's connection to domestic terrorism, no knowledge of Pastor Wright's fire-breathing hateful anti-American rhetoric, no knowledge of ACORN registering felons who are not allowed to vote and being involved in embezzlement and deceptive practices by setting up non-profit fronts allegedly to counsel poor urban folks on how to avoind predatory lending but funneling the government grant money into thier political activities instead. ( Obama worked for ACORN in several roles, as a "trainer" of ACORN's staff and represented them in a civil legal battle)... and believe he has no knowledge of any of this?  If we are to believe him in that, then he is frighteningly disconnected from his own real world activities and can not be trusted to be an executive or any sort of administrator because of sheer ignorance of his own associations. However, we don't believe him because it's simply not plausible that he had no knowledge of these things.  So, if you believe he's lying about who his mentors were, who he worked with in forming his political world view , and who he supported, there's no honest reason to trust him as the most powerful political leader of the free world.  Rather than withdraw from openly talking about the friends, confidants, and business associates of Obama, NOW is the time to drive the point home that this man is an anti-American socialist enabler of those who seek the downfall of American Conservative vaules.  Also drive home the social progressive plans he has for the country, but don't let him get away with hiding who he has sold his soul to for political advantage.
