DON'T BE SWAYED - POLLS ARE DESIGNED TO STOP YOU

It's crunch time with 4 weeks to go to the election. All the polls are favoring Obama. But here is what the polls don't show. According to Ramussen Reports ,the general voting public in July of 2008 was about 31.6% Republican, 39.2% Democrat ( a difference of 7.6%), with the rest claiming to be moderates. In August the numbers changed, 33.2% Republican and 38.9% Democrat ( a difference of 5.7%). The interesting trend is that since May of this year, the number of Democrats has steadily declined from a high of 41.7% down to the current 38.9%, while registered Republicans have increased over that same period from 31.6% to 33.2%.  The shift in the differential of party affiliation since May is significant. In May the Democrats had a 10.1% advantage in ranks, as of now that has dwindled down to a 5.7% advantage.  The trend in rising voter ranks leans to the Republican party. If every Republican party member votes on election day for McCain/Palin, the best that Democrat voters will be able to muster if all are on board with Obama is a 5.7% difference advantage. That leaves the moderates and independents and perhaps some swing voters in the Democrat ranks.  In March of this year Gallup Poll reported that a very significant number of voters in the Democrat ranks stated that they would vote for McCain if thier candidate did not win the nomination.  In surveying Independents who lean Democrat and Conservative Democrats they found ... "Almost 4 out of 10 voters in these two groups who support Clinton say they would vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee." As recently as September 10th  Independents alone were favoring McCain over Obama by 46% to 31% according to a Fox news poll. There is plenty of reason to be optimistic about the outcome in November if you don't allow yourself to buy into the "conventional wisdom" of the liberal press that wants this to be over right now and to anoint Obama as the next President.
In an investigation by the Pew Research Center they came up with the following analysis.  The national press runs about 34% liberal and local press about 23% liberal for a total of 57% liberal press. Conservative press is about 7% nationally and 12% in local markets. NBC CNN CBS REUTERS all have liberal bents to thier reporting. They want Obama to win and will promote an Obama lead in the polling data as meaning the election is over and claim Obama to be victorious prematurely. But as they do that, they will prove themselves wrong. They always underestimate the drive of the Republican base when it's energized, and I am confident that it is. Whether you simply shudder at the thought of an Obama presidency, or are a full fledged McCain advocate, or even just excited about Sarah Palin bringing  Conservative values to DC, there is only one poll that actually counts, the poll you officially cast your vote at in this November's election. Gallup Poll Data is at - (  http://www.gallup.com/poll/105742/Democratic-Groups-Most-Risk-Deserting.aspx )

WHAT SHOULD MCCAIN SAY AT THE DEBATE TUESDAY?

What do you think John McCain should say at the Debate tonight?  Here are four things I'd like to hear him talk about.

1. He should come out on stage and announce that he has talked at length with Governor Palin and environmental experts in Alaska and has been convinced that we should open ANWR to drilling as soon as possible. Then he should define an initiative to increase domestic oil and natural gas production, and outline how it will increase jobs, revitalize the economy, and make our country more secure. He should also announce tax free development of alternative fuels. All corporate activities that are engaged solely in the development and production of alternative fuels will be free of all forms of federal tax for a period of 5 years.

2. He should state that he supports full Judicial review of the new "bailout" law ( Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008) to make certain that it meets constitutional requirements. He should also say that he wants to work with the congress to rewrite the law , to take more time without the pressure of President Bush and Secretary Paulson and alarmists in congress declaring the end of days for our economy, and find a market based resolution that will work for the people, rather than an emergency government crutch. He should also state that he intends to put a stop to the practices that contributed to the housing market problems by removing the regulation burdens on banks to accept loan applications from people who are bad credit risks or have not demonstrated an ability to maintain payments for such a loan.

3. He should say that he wants to cut capitol gains tax by 50% to re-invigorate investment in, and by, us corporations and stocks. Foreign markets invest in the US because of the freedom we have here to be entrepreneurial, and create wealth from ideas. This sort of free market spirit of enterprise is not nearly as prevalent in any other country on earth. Both Foreign and Domestic investors flock to the US stock market to grab a piece of the next great innovation in fresh startups, or to get in on the next great advance in long standing companies. The bailout package is antithetical to the whole process. It artificially props up corporations whose practices are not sound. So we need to move away from Government support of the marketplace and take burdens out of the way.  He should say that Obama and the Democrats are exactly wrong when they say that there was not enough regulation. It was regulations forcing banks to lower thier standards for loan applications that sparked the housing slump and he needs to state it clearly and fearlessly.

4. McCain MUST expound upon the greatness of this country. He must take the opportunity of the debate to point out the times that Obama has said this country is not what it could be, and he should look in the camera and say " I profoundly disagree with Senator Obama.., I say this country is *better* than it could be. It "could" be strapped with a socialist healthcare system like Canada or Great Britain.  It could be like Venezuela whose government has seized control of private businesses forcing privately held energy companies to accept state control of thier operations. We are better than that, far better because we have faith in the people of the country to develop thier own path to prosperity and to manage thier own personal needs. We don't believe people's lives should be managed and controlled by government bureaucracies."

TIMELINE - VIETNAM. AYERS PLANTS BOMBS WHILE MCCAIN DEFENDS COUNTRY

Over the weekend Governor Sarah Palin brought up the spectre of one of Barack Obama's deranged associates, Richard Ayers. In 1969 Ayers co-founded a domestic terrorist group called the Weathermen, a radical sect of a left wing organization called Students for a Democratic Society ( SDS). In 1969 Ayers helped the Weathermen plant a bomb at a statue commemorating wounded police officers. He participated in several more bombings of police stations ( 1970), the US Capitol ( 1971) and the Pentagon.( 1972).  Barack Obama had a lot of interaction with Ayers later in Ayers life as they worked together on a publicly-funded initiative in Chicago called the Annenberg Project. Ayers sat on the official board of this project , and Obama was the chairman of that board. Interestingly, the Annenberg project, ( called CAC, The Chicago Annenberg Challenge) pumped funds into various "community organziers" including ACORN, a radical left wing organization that Obama conducted seminars with and volunteered in.  Now , looking at the timeline here, it's interesting to note that while Obama's friend  ,( yes... I'll call him that because everything points in that direction..,) and associate...,  Ayers was planting bombs, John McCain was a prisoner of war in Hanoi in the exact same time period, fighting to defend the country and the defend our form of government, fighting those who tried to torture him in to denouncing his country. One man willingly trying to destroy freedom, one man going through unending agony to defend freedom.  Obama chose to work with and associate with the homegrown domestic terrorist Ayers, a man who McCain would have shot on sight if he had met him on field of battle. There are many reasons to reject Obama as a viable candidate for President. If you want just one reason which by itself is clearly enough to remove him from your thoughts as a plausible President for our country, this is a good one.

MCCAIN CAN SEAL THE DEAL - IT'S CALLED ANWR

Sarah Palin gave McCain a boost with her strong performance against Biden. But McCain can seal this deal all the way around with one simple move. All he needs to do is hold a press conference and say" I've spoken at length with Governor Palin and we went to Alaska together to visit ANWR. I spoke to local experts who have assured me of the minimal environmental impact of drilling , and I have come to the conclusion that we should in fact open ANWR to domestic oil and gas exploration and as President I will make it happen". , This has the effect of showing Conservatives that Sarah has impact, that her Conservative values will be partly guiding policy decisions giving another jolt of energy to the Republican base, and will make McCain a genuine champion of fuel independence. And it's a safe move for him. He can state the fuel independence is not a partisan issue, it benefits all Americans in all walks of life, and will strengthen the economy with new jobs. It's all a win. And it's so SIMPLE! If someone would just get hold of his ear and make him listen!

LUNTZ FOCUS GROUP - PALIN SWAYED VIEWERS TO CHOOSE HER AND MCCAIN

If you were watching Fox News Last night you may have seen the focus group that Frank Luntz put together to view the debate. Half Kerry supporters half Bush supporters.  After the VP debate he asked the group how many thought Sarah Palin own. Almost all of them agreed that she won. Some of them said that she convinced them to change thier minds. The common wisdom in the media is that the VP debate was not a game changer, but I think it was..., the liberal media just won't admit it. I think most people were like Frank's focus group. Sarah has a way of talking straight to the people, and I think she reached a lot of people last night.

KATIE COURIC AND CHARLES GIBSON NO LONGER EXIST

Grace under fire, charm in the lion's den, impact in the red zone. Tonight , if you watched the Vice Presidential debate, you saw what real change means.  You saw a creaky senate relic named Joe Biden give a tired old boilerplate political response filled with inaccuracies, to all his questions. And you saw a charming, refreshing, high spirited, well spoken neighbor of yours named Sarah Palin look you in the eyes and with an optimistic high-five tell you "I know what you want Government to do, because I walk the same streets you walk". But let's clear something up with some "straight talk" as Senator McCain might remark. The pundits tonight mostly praised Sarah, while the Obama hacks nit-picked at some of the questions she didn't give full fledged answers to.  But all the praise was still too subdued. What really happened is that Governor Sarah Palin kicked Joe Biden's butt. She did not let him get away with trying to obfuscate his and Obama's records on taxes and the war. She ripped his lies up and threw them right back at him and she did it with charm and a smile on her face. She also did not confine herself to the Moderator's narrow questions but was determined to use her response time to talk about whatever she felt was most important. She took control of the debate format and made the points she wanted to make. Also she did not concede that "global warming" was a man made problem, she understands that climate change is primarily a natural force, while Biden said it was all man made and that our man made global warming was melting the polar ice caps. ( hand him a dunce cap). She sparred with Biden on foriegn policy and showed grit by making sure she got the point across that General Petraeus did not agree with Obama's withdrawal plans. But what was most evident, most clear, is that she is a regular everyday mainstreet woman taking her hometown values and her down to earth way of speaking into the DC eilte arena ..., and they can't compete with her on that level. When Sarah broke into her local dialect at times with her Alaskan accent coming through it was so endearing and so refreshing that even Biden had to smile at it.  What is so striking is really how much Sarah is on a level with the rest of us in terms of knowing what we do and what we care about.  In a very charming interview after the debate, Greta Van Susteren spoke by remote camera with Sarah's brother and sister at a local party they were having in Wasilla Alaska to celebrate Sarah's debate night.  Every question Greta posed to them was answered very straight and very simply with no expansive details, just "yes", "no"  or a brief comment about thier feelings. Sarah and her family are just regular folks, not long winded elite politicians. Most of what they had to express was loud cheers as they waved McCain/Palin signs in the background. And of course they had reason to be very happy. That's the feeling I think we all have about Sarah.  Also what Sarah did tonight was to sweep Katie Couric and Charles Gibson into the media gutter and render her critics powerless. Awesome job tonight Governor Palin, just awesome!

MCCAIN POISONS SARAH PALIN

John McCain and Sarah Palin must win this election.  We simply can not afford an Obama/Biden administration. The attempts to tear down Sarah and John are going to rise more and more over the next few weeks. We need to keep from falling into the trap of buying into those attacks and keep from falling into despair over polling numbers. DO NOT PUT YOUR FUTURE IN THE HANDS OF POLLSTERS! Liberal media pundits will try to dispirit you with unbalanced polling data. Pay no attention to any negative polling. We will win this if we just get out there and vote. That is the absolute bottom line.  Personally, I intend to be first in line on election day to cast my ballot for McCain/Palin and for any and all the Republicans running in my state of Massachusetts. No barking pundits out there trying to assassinate the character and quality of our candidates is going to destroy my enthusiasm to cast my ballot for them this November. No critique of debate performance will matter at all. We should make this the biggest Republican turnout in vote history. Let's embarass the Democrats by drowning them out at the polling booths and putting McCain/Palin in by such huge numbers that the liberal pundits will be choking on thier own tongues in disbelief. We can make this happen.

Now, having said that, I need to vent my disgust about this economic bailout package the Senate passed. Would you like to know why in that AP poll 8 out of ten people say that this economic fallout with the banking industry will effect them?  Because  of all the screaming panicking pundits doing thier very best to scare people out of thier wits, pounding us every day, every night, every waking moment with insane tripe about the end of days for the united states, this has been a sickening display of howling self-serving elitists with delusions of grandeur wanting to call attention to themselves as the go-to illuminati of economic armageddon.  We need political leaders giving us positive reinforcement on the strong values of the American institutions that have made this the greatest place on earth to live, not prophets of doom crying about the apocalypse.  If we are in such horrible, awful dire straits, why are people all over the world still coming by the ten's of thousands to the US to seek economic prosperity? Have they stopped coming here?  No, even with some weakness in the current economy we are still the strongest economic power on earth. Now how many days has it been since the predicted doom of our economy?  Quite  few. And we're still in business, and not in a depression.  Also, John McCain is destroying himself by voting in favor of this bill. He can now no longer get up on the stump and declare that he is opposed to earmarks.  That nice little speech he likes to give where he takes his pen out of his pocket and waves it around, showing how he's going to veto any spending bill with pork in it is now an utter fairytale and he can be called on it all day long.  This was a terrible and unfortunate move for him. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING.  I will still vote for John , but it will be much more an anti-Obama, pro-Palin vote, and much less a pro-McCain vote. This ridiculous vote has caused many Movement Conservatives to want to pull thier McCain dartboards out again. This is the frustrating behavior that Conservatives are so very familiar with from McCain's political career, sadly he has not learned anything at all from this campaign. He has not learned who has his back, namely the Republican base, he has not learned how to keep from alienating the base that he needs to carry him to the White House and give him a mandate. John McCain is a great man, but he can be an infuriating politician. Perhaps the saddest thing of all in this, is that his vote has POISONED Governor Palin. Now , as his running mate, she has to go out and support this asinine vote he made and defend his approving ridiculous earmarks.  If Senator McCain want's to ruin his own political capitol with his inane politics, fine, let him destroy himself, but how dare he drag down Sarah Palin with him? With one hand he did a great thing by giving Sarah Palin a huge chance to boost her political career and credentials and bring a real Conservative up to the forefront, and with the other hand he slaps her in chains and tosses her in the ocean. This is tragic.

VP DEBATE MODERATOR CALLS REPUBLICANS TERRORISTS

Republican politicians, and particularly Conservatives , are tougher than anyone else in politics today.  They need to be, since they are the endless target of nearly all mainstream press smears, screeching left wing zealots supporting every social taboo in existence, and backstabbing political colleagues in the Democrat party. If, despite all this, Conservative politicians stand fast on thier principles then they are by far the toughest politicians around this country today and very worthy leaders. By contrast, Liberal Democrat politicians today can be soft, squishy, and cowardly..., and still be liberal. They get petted by the media, cheered by the screaming extremists, and get thier way with jelly spined moderates in the Republican party. They need exert very little effort to be who they are.  And, Democrat politicians don't need to concern themselves that moderators at debates between Republican and Democrat might be lopsided conservative Republican supporters. They won't be. Never have been.  So, where does that bring us?  Nowhere.  The upcoming debate between Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden is being moderated by a woman named Gwen Ifill, who loathes Republicans. Wow.., that's a surprise ( not ). Here's a quote from the gracious Gwen Ifill commenting on Senate Republcians who, in 1998, defeated a bill for campaign finance reform, and Ms. Ifill was obviously not happy that the Senate Republicans expressed satisfaction at having done so..., Here's her quote...,

"It was a bill that was doomed to die. The last time you heard people so eager to claim responsibility for something like this, they were terrorists." — NBC reporter Gwen Ifill, February 27 Washington Week in Review on PBS. ( source = https://www.mediaresearch.org/notablequotables/bestof/1998/best7-9.asp )

Yes, she called Republicans terrorists. This is the fair minded level headed moderator who will be throwing questions of her own design at Sarah Palin.  Now..., don't misunderstand. I actually think this wonderful. What better way to contrast the differences between a strident Liberal extremist woman and a strong confident everyday Conservative woman?  Sarah will come out fine from this, and even more so if Ms. Ifill stoops to trying to sabotage Sarah Palin. If Ms. Ifill gets testy with her Sarah should just flash that friendly smile, answer the questions smoothly, and show that she's not the least bit rattled by spiteful left wing windbags. Nothing irks Liberals more than having no effect on the people they target.

THE MARKET GOES UP - WILL OBAMA GO DOWN?

Bad news. The DOW Jones IA rose 266 points this morning, and no congressional bailiout was in place. Markets have posted a modest rebound despite lack of a bill passing the House.  The bad news is for Democrats. If markets show signs of self correction, then cries of woe about the economy will fall on increasingly deaf ears. Why is it that good economic news for all of us, is bad for the Democrat party? Because they are counting on disaster to make the case for change in the White House.  There's something sick, about rooting for a recession.

GOD BLESS NEIL CAVUTO AND THE FEW OTHERS WHO STILL HAVE A FREE SOUL

What must it be like, to be so arrogant that with a sweep of your hand you can dismiss millions upon millions of people as idiots who don't know what's best for themselves? Many of the talking heads of financial news and gurus of Wall Street are out there berating those of us who are angry over the proposal to spend hundreds of billions of tax dollars on bailing out banks from bad loan debts. How dare we common folks complain about this? Don't we jesters and fools understand that this is for our own good? It's tiring and infuriating to see and hear the same cloistered snobs wagging thier fingers at us through the television screen and telling us we're morons. This is the hegemony of the media nobility that comes about when they forget they are no better than the rest of us. To them the masses are just a lot of brainless lemmings full of herd mentality running over a cliff because of some sociopathic disdain for misapropriation of taxes. The media Godfathers don't get it.  Taxpayers in this country are not silent funnels of currency that the government can simply turn the suction on to fill treasury coffers without any reaction. We have a right to speak. It's a God given right recognized by our country's founders and protected by our Constitution. Normally savvy wizards of free market capitalism Jack Kemp and Steve Forbes sat there whining and crying and boo-hooing today that we ignorant simpletons out here in the weeds are holding up the process of spitting 700 billion in taxes at a problem that has no guarantee of being solved with it or evidence that this is the only way of solving it. One of the few heroes out there championing a free market capitalism method to solve this is Fox Business News VP Neil Cavuto. He's has been pushing back against these panicking market moguls and standing up for you and me and the idea of a market based resolution. Republican Representative J. Gresham Barrett is also one of the few putting his foot down on the brake and looking for a better way to resolve the financial crisis. But the majority of wall street wizards, and that includes Treasury Secretary Paulson ( a former Goldman Sachs partner), are screaming now that we un-wise regular people have got to stop demanding that congress stop. SO why has congress stopped? Because they know who thier ultimate bosses are. You and me. And an election is only weeks away. An election that could be trouble for them if they are dealing with an irate constituency. Fox Business News conducted an informal poll today showing that 64% of respondants would be less likely to vote for a congressman who supports the bailout plan. That's got a lot of politicians very nervous.  Good. Nervous politicians are cautious politicians and that's what we need now. Ultimately this bill wll probably pass in some form, but not before "we the people" have made very sure our representatives know that they are not going to get away with running wild with our hard earned tax money.

A FLUMMOXED CONGRESS - A TOXIC BAILOUT BILL

I waited up very late last night, intent on hearing what our Republican House congressmen had to say about the bailout bill.  Admittedly I was disappointed when they seemed to be stating they had found common ground with the Democrats and President Bush on getting the bill passed. We got a reprieve today for a few reasons.  One, House Republicans got peeved. Pelosi redressed the President and "Republicans" as the cause of the downfall of Fannie-Mae and Freddie-Mac... when in fact "Democrats" were heavily to blame for that fiasco. Secondly, a bunch of frightened Democrats were getting rattled by thier constituents and by seeing the Republicans close ranks to fight Pelosi.  A significant number of Democrats did not want the bailout bill to pass as a "Democrat" bill, they wanted Republican cover and with a large number of Republicans voting no.., they chickened out.  What this means, is that the country wins this round..., for now. So if that's the case, why the panic in the stock market?  Exactly because congress seeded false promises of freedom from bad debt that it should NEVER have promised in the first place.  SO everything was waiting to swing up or down on the basis of a boondoggle bill being bantered about the House. Yes, that's right. CONGRESS caused the panic and the dips in the DOW by playing games with tax money. This bailout bill is toxic. Our congress is toying with investors. This is the idiocy of socialism in full bloom, and it hasn't even passed yet! There is a chance for House Republicans to stomp this bill out by locking ranks right now and refusing any part of it.  And if McCain leads that rally, he'll be a hero.  Unfortunately, that sort fo courage is scarce on Capitol Hill.  We'll simply have to hope someone steps up to do the right thing and keep this bill down. Now, Pelosi... has the Audacity of Hope... to call for bi-partisanship. She must truly think the Republicans are dopes. Pelosi is the Lizze Borden of congress weilding Partisanship like an axe.

THE RAPE OF SARAH PALIN ENDS NOW

From the day John McCain announced Sarah Palin as his choice for VP, there has been a concerted effort to destroy her personally and professionally. Her intellect, her religion, her family, her moral values and her motherhood have been brutally clubbed, stabbed and raped by the teeth-grinding pseudo-savants lurking behind the moldy liberal duck blinds of MSNBC, NY TIMES, Hollywood cameras, phony abortion-centric feminism, and empty-headed talk shows like The View. We have all seen it take form in the absolute worst of a morally bankrupt social clique of dyed-in-the-wool liberalized assassins. The effort has extended to trying to convince you, and me, in the grass roots base that we have made a tragic error in supporting Sarah Palin. But the swarm of liberal fleas have made the same mistake they always make. Genuine Conservative skin is impervious to flea bites. Conservatism is the antidote. Its the DDT of socialism. They are taking it to us..., daring us to flinch and abandon our heroes in the midst of the battle. Well, it's time to pull out the flyswatter and strike back. Sarah Palin is the target of a cultural war that the liberals are terrified of losing..., and we, you and I, are the front line defense pushing back. Why...you might ask..., is our lady so reviled by those dwelling in the stench-emanating bogs of liberalism? The answer is so simple , so very very clear. Sarah is not an evangelist, not a finger-pointer, not a naysayer, she's simply..., quietly..., living the life values that we cherish. She is the EXAMPLE of what Conservative values mean to us and the success story that wins the day with a complete rejection of all liberal dogma. What we learn from Sarah is not in the words she speaks, but in the example of her life choices, her personal drive, her moral values, her family, and ultimately her successes. Sarah doesn't have to talk-the-talk because she already walks-the-walk. Sarah is our lady , because she genuinely represents us, and no amount of liberal temper tantrums will make us turn our backs on her. When they attack Sarah, they attack all of us, and we will make them pay for that at the polls this November.

SENATOR HARRY REID YOU REPRESENT THE WORST OF POLITICS

A few minutes ago Senator Reid went to the press podium to talk about reaching an agreement on the bailout bill.  Every time Senator Reid opens that cavity called a mouth he jumps in with both feet. How dare he blandly stand there on Capitol Hill and declare that the fiscal problem with recent bank failures is due to "greed".  Capitol Hill, which includes Senator Harry Reid's office,  is the full fledged center of greed in this country.  How ironic..., that a political body that has legislatively "TAKEN" 700 billion dollars of other people's money to fix something that still has been unproven as needing this particular so-called fix, does not see any evidence of greed in their own bloated diseased tax code. Utterly sickening. Politcians like Reid are prime contributors to the bottom of the barrel approval ratings of congress. Republicans need to sweep the "Senator Reids" of the congress out the door in this congressional mid-term. It would be quite satisfying to see Ried put back into a minorty status in the Senate and Pelosi deposed from her throne in the House. Republicans, we need to shake-up the make-up. Don't just carry McCain/ Palin to the White House, let's give them a Republican majority to work with!

REMEMBER THE GOAL AND DONT FALL INTO THE DRAMA OF KNEE-JERK POLLING

If you're scratching your head about the sudden bump for Obama in the polls, stay calm.   The majority of undecided, those who have no interest in politics and tend to remain neutral until last few weeks prior to the election , have just now begun to pay attention.  They have not been keeping up with the unfolding drama of the campaigns and do not have the same insights regarding the candidates that the rest of us do who have felt a stake in this since the primaries. These people tend to go with whoever "feels" most comfortable at the moment.  Thus, cries of woe about the economy from President Bush, is not helpful to the Republican candidate with this group of voters. John McCain and Sarah Palin, Conservative pundits, and grass roots Repbulicans need to stay on the offensive. Keeping up the public exposure of the disturbing policies, lack of experience, and questionable associations of Obama is vital right now. This is not a time for movement Conservatives to get bent out of shape over some quibbling about how Conservative the context of the message is coming from the Republican candidates.  A united front is required to keep this candidacy from slipping backwards in a black hole of our own making. The focus needs to be entirely, without wavering, on tieing an anchor to the Obama/Biden ship by keeping the truth about these dubious characters front-and-center. Don't be dismayed by bumps for Obama right now. Pollsters are pushing for a response from the great unwashed who aren't ready to decide, and when pushed they will respond in knee-jerk fashion, and the result is not reliable data. Stay on message. Liberal groups are pounding the pavement right now trying thier best to scare the hell out of anyone who will listen to them. Those frightened Conservatives  who have flow to the treetops to quiver over the current polling data and sway in the wind as they cry "oh woe is us..." have got to come back down to earth RIGHT NOW. We need all hands on deck to keep the McCain / Palin ticket energized. We can not afford rogues abandoning ship to declare that the first-mate is unfit.  Let's hold it togther folks! Keep your eyes on the prize and don't lose your focus!

FANTASY PUNDITS VS. SARAH PALIN - GO BACK TO BED

I have a question for those gnostic intelligentsia Conservative pundits out there who have decided to declare unfit the Vice Presidential candidacy of Governor Sarah Palin, because she didn't meet the "high" expectations of an interview with Katie Couric. Do you really believe that how one genuflects before the sophistry of Couric and Gibson and the usual suspects of the narcissistic media is the definition of leadership?  Spare me your self-styled demagoguery and go back to punditizing your fantasies of angels that float down from the heavenly ether to grant you your perfect omnipotent political leader. I'll root my expectations in the "real" world..., if you don't mind. Some may recall all the flack Couric took when she made the move to CBS to take over anchoring the CBS Evening News. They said she was inexperienced, and lacked the credentials.  After all, how could this woman..., fill the shoes of those giants before her, Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather. Was there some sexism going on?  Probably, but, she was given a chance to do the job and prove if she could handle it. Sarah Palin has proven that she can handle an executive position. She has proven she can fight for the average citizen and win those battles with strength, confidence, and a genuine smile on her face.  Now, the media has left it up to the quality of dubious sound-bite banter with the likes of Kaite Couric, Charles Gibson, and a few disenchanted analysts and egocentric intellectuals to decipher the worth of her leadership.  What a lot of embarassingly vapid commentary rolling off the tongues of alleged objective reporters.  I continue to be disgusted with the news media in general, and now I even have to sit here and depose the cranky desperation of some knee-jerk Conservatives who can't get past the fact that as VP it is Sarah Palin's most important role to convince the country of the value of a John McCain presidency.  Get over it.  Sarah Palin is qualified to take the role of VP, moreso in my opinion than the highly fallible misanthropic Joe Biden.  A famous philosopher, William F. Buckley Jr..., who sadly passed away recently, once said... "I would rather be governed by the first 2000 names in the Boston phone book than by the Harvard faculty.". I agree with the late Mr. Buckley.  Give me the common citizen's sense of a down-to-earth approach to governance of someone who is closer to the everyday person and more in touch, of someone like Sarah Palin..., rather than the self-aggrandizing snobbery of a Joe Biden or a Barack Obama, any day. Ronald Reagan believed in the virtue and basic common sense of everyday citizens leading the country to greatness,  and so do I.
